Another note that I was thinking about - and I hope maybe it brings you some piece of mind: one of my cats went to the vet for a regular check up and the vet was like “Oh - there’s a mass and it’s absolutely cancer” - so - I bawled my eyes out and asked for next steps. The vet said they could operate to see how long Aiden had left to live but it would likely be 4 months to a year - SO - we did the surgery - turns out - it was just a FATTY POCKET -_- no cancer - but all the stress and worry that whole time when it turns out he was just a lil fatty! And here we are 5 years later and he’s a happy healthy senior kitty! SO I am going to send the energy that Carl is so good and his new antibiotics are gonna be the fix 😸

Check the tubes and bucket from the water irrigation tank/water dripper you use for Carl for mold or bacteria as I saw something similar before in a reptile because of that!! (maybe buy new one incase)

I'm going through something similar with my cat that I've had for 5 years. 😢 She has skin cancer on her ear and we've done surgery twice and it keeps coming back. 😢 I will be putting her down within the next week because she's going downhill now and there is nothing left to cut. I hope Carl gets better. It is always so hard when your pet gets sick. I got a cat when I was 13 years old and he died when I was 30 years old. He was my baby and it was very difficult for me when he died. I completely understand how upset you are about your baby being sick.

I get mosquito bites just thinking about it. Mix a few drops of lemongrass essential oil with water in a spray bottle and spray all over. It’s a really good deterrent.
Aww Meg, I'm sorry. I know that feeling as a reptile owner and it sucks. Something similar happened to my tortoise. Due to events that were out of my control, my little guy got an ulcer under his nostrils and ended up with a URI. I took him to many vet appts and got him antibiotics. He recovered just fine but (in his rare case) the ulcer ended up creating a tiny hole in his beak. I cried and cried, and felt so guilty even though none of it was my fault. He is now super healthy and back to his normal self. The reason I share this is because I know what it's like to panic over your little guy. Deep breaths, one day at a time. I have hope that he'll be okay. Keeping doing what you're doing and giving him all the love. (pro tip, try not to get yourself too worked up like I did, you may end up spending more on emergency bills from cardiac arrest then the actual vet bills lol jkjk)

Girl I feel your pain 💯 my bearded dragon was my world I loved him so much and I gave him everything he could want and need including a 4x4x2 enclosure. Unfortunately one week when I ran low on his bugs that I normally order online I ended up having to get him some from petco to hold him over. The next day after eating petco bugs he got very sick and passed away😢I was so crushed 😔 but let me tell u you're doing amazing with Carl don't be hard on yourself you're doing everything u can trust me I was so hard on myself for months after he passed I blamed myself but we can't we give them great lives. Anyway I'm so sorry for this long comment and I'm all over the place lol but you're the best girl sending all my ❤🫂 and 🙏

It’s so wild in UK they wait so late for Pap smears. In USA i think they start in the teens. I’ve been getting them every year since i was 14. Even had surgery at 16 for endometriosis. I hope you are healthy and well Megan :)

It’s so wild in UK they wait so late for Pap smears. In USA i think they start in the teens. I’ve been getting them every year since i was 14. Even had surgery at 16 for endometriosis. I hope you are healthy and well Megan :)

I can (only 😕😟) tell you to consider to apply Swedish bitter or tea tree oil on the bump instead of iodine . Actually tea tree oil does work against papilloma virus
