2020 Halloween Special: EC Comics Ray Bradbury 3-Pack

- Well, I know I haven't done much lately, mostly due to the library where I scan my drawings having been closed for the last several months, and plus I've got a new (non horror) project that's taking up a lot of my time. They have opened up again recently though, so I'll have some new stories for you soon...got several r/shortscarystories and r/twosentencehorror entries picked out, and I'm also planning to do another C.K. Walker story.
But I can't miss a Halloween, so here's three of EC's adaptations of the great Ray Bradbury, who you've already seen here in "The October Game." Apparently Bradbury sued EC for some stories they did that were blatant ripoffs of his work (including one of the third story here), but they settled amicably and started doing official adaptations, so here's some of my favorites.
I tell you, if I had half of Bradbury's talent...maybe I could do my own stories instead of other peoples! Anyway, happy Halloween, and hopefully I'll have more soon.
While there are plenty of ways to read EC Comics online, I must say I prefer your readings of them. You bring life into these long dead comics. Thank you for your brilliance.
Also, old man in story 3, why tell the only person who could save you that you're going to tell everyone the truth about him? Granted, he'd still probably kill you, but all that did was give him a reason to kill you.

This was remade into a live-action show. I think it was from the Ray Bradbury Theater. Just a few minutes into the story and I recognized it.

Years ago, I purchased a " Tales from The Crypt "paperback. It had artworks by a Jack Davis, Ghastly Gram Ingels, amongst others . Some of the stories were quite terrible and terrifying to read ; enough to give me nightmares. Don't recall who published the paperback ; I think 🤔 it was published way back in the 1960's far as I can remember. It's quite old now, but still intact. I'd sell it to the right person at the right price !

Benedict has oddly the weirdest debate ever.
Disrespecting the dead yeah he earned what he got in the end but can you blame his for being upset?
He heard the same corny jokes about his job every day. Admittedly yes the ones he did likely didn't deserve what he did, but why not just wait until they kicked the bucket to give them some treatment and get the last laugh.
But he is not without some good, he gave a poor man a kings funeral, so that can say he's not above some compassion.
