As an academic at an institution in South Africa, I'm both heartened (yay, I'm not alone) and saddened (ah, I'm not alone) by the idea that we start complaint collectives - we need to really talk through our phenomenological experiences of exclusion at these places that have all the right policies in place but very few of the actual practices of care.
