BED is so hard to go through, I am glad you found a therapist! I hope they are good and it's a positive experience for you this time! I love how you phrased working on learning what is worth stressing about cause I am the same way! I always imagine the worst in every single scenario happening in my life and it's exhausting and nothing ever ends up as catastrophic as I imagine it's going to be. I am so ready for fall! I want to start going on walks outside once it cools down. I had a goal to go hike 1 new trail every month as my new years resolution but that did not happen but I want to try and do that this fall 😊 hope you have a good week!
Yes! I am the same way. Like I have to learn that not everything is catastrophic!! Fall is my fav season and I think I want to hike a little this fall too! Good luck trying to find new trails, let me know how it goes omg! Have the best week.
Yay! I’m so glad therapy is working out for you. It might be a little while before you really start to feel it helping you, and it may also make you feel worse before it feels better, but that’s all part of the process! I also notice you minimizing your anxiety a lot, your feelings are valid no matter the cause. I also have a hard time letting go of anxiety, even when there is no action to be taken, so you’re not alone in that! I also totally get the all-or-nothing attitude when it comes to certain classes. But in reality, I am the type of person that likes to switch up my workout routine so it stays fresh, and you might just be too! There’s nothing wrong with exploring or starting slow.
thank you for this :) I am sooo bad at 1. understanding/accepting that my feelings are valid and 2. being confident enough to try new things. I just started going to a new gym and have gotten through the initial "first day anxiety". I am hoping it helps me stick to a healthier routine and helps my mental health too!
Hi Kelsi! So glad I came upon your channel. The one thing that stuck out for me was when you talked about meditation seeming intense. I have found that I currently don’t like just plain quiet meditation. Not my thing. I found “tapping” which is a form of meditation I find it very helpful. I also like guided meditation. These types really help me stay in the moment and I usually feel calmer once done. Hope that helps and love your authenticity. New subscriber here!!
I just found your channel and I really appreciate you sharing your experiences and being so open about all of it! It's so nice to see that we're not alone. Some of the things you talk about here reminds me of HalfofCarla! I don't know if you've seen her or care to/can watch that type of content, but she really focuses on the mental side of weightloss too. She's been helping me a lot outside of therapy. I definitely want to stick around and watch your journey 🤍 We can do this healing thing.
we are def not alone! I am glad I can be here for you to relate too!! I haven't seen any of her content, but I will for sure check her out. Thank you for the rec. thank you for being here and sticking around if you choose too! It means a lot and we can heal!!

After hearing you mention binge eating, I would suggest not only going to therapy but looking for a therapist or ED group who specializes in helping with emotional eating. Therapy was helpful for me to process, but I needed more to understand why I overate. I worked with a nutritionist, an ED group, therapist, and OEA to get to the point that I could stop emotionally eating, process the stress, and start dropping the pounds. A year later, I'm 100 pounds down. It's not always perfect, but controlling the food noise and processing stress is the goal.
wow that is incredible! I definitely need to seek out some additional resources. It is a little intimidating a hard to navigate, but I know I need to! the food noise is sooo exhausting. I would love to overcome it.
I am so glad I saw this. Summer threw me wayyyy off track. I lost 100lbs down to 249 as of May but I’ve gained back 12 since then and I am really needing this to encourage me not to throw it all out the window 😂😂😂
