@@CG68810 cry louder. You have to be a certified re-ard to suggest that Real Madrid which is UEFA's enemy number one, as they are actively trying to replace it with Super League, has even the slightest influence over refereeing in European matches. You call Madrid a slightly bigger club than City? They are not slightly but far bigger club than City. I don’t understand why media and pundits often like to tailor or control the narrative.
Gab was being sarcastic about it. I think he simply wanted to say that Real Madrid are a bigger club.
Man City is very well coached because they have Pep, but not sure if they will be the same when Pep leaves. Real Madrid will be on top no matter who is coaching them.
Very astute point.

While Leverkusen is owned by Bayer, they haven't been pumping the club full of money, and are definitely not a "rich" club like Bayern, City, Real, etc. They could definitely pump some more money into the club if they wanted, but they haven't done that, and instead stand on their own merit. Atalanta has a wage bill of 45M, Leverkusen of 63M. Yes there's a difference, but it's not the wage bill of club that's getting pumped full of money, and their transfer spend is around neutral if you look it up. Let's stop this false narrative before it even starts!
Nobody pumps money into Real Madrid. They are a social club owned by the members and "stand on their own merit".

Kylian Mbappé has the opportunity to win his first Ballon d’Or this year, and the Frenchman has the chance to win several trophies to strengthen his candidacy. I'm more curious on how Carlo Ancelotti would manage all of them next season 24/25. Nevertheless, enjoy the remaining games in La Liga and UEFA Champions League.
It is highly recommended and a MUST for Real Madrid management, board of directors, coaching staff, people working in their club who are involved on the transfer-market to permanently sell who are currently out on loan to play for another football club, do not offer a loan with buy back clause or with a number or percentage rights, recall or return players that are currently on-loan by another football club to play for Real Madrid, ageing ((28) years old and above), inconsistent (due to limited playing time, never have played and always on the bench, poor defensively, not performing well) regardless of age, injury prone, those who are not comfortable playing in different position, that MUST happen on or before July 2027. We are referring to Modric, Kroos, José Ignacio Fernández Iglesias "Nacho", José Luis Mato Sanmartín "Joselu", Vasquez, Daniel Carvajal Ramos "Dani Carvajal", Courtois, Alaba, Rudiger, Arrizabalaga, Mendy, Daniel Ceballos Fernández "Dani Ceballos" Jesús Vallejo Lázaro "Jesus Vallejo", Francisco José García Torres "Fran Garcia", Diaz, Juan Miguel Latasa Fernández "Juanmi Latasa", Reinier Jesus Carvalho "Reinier", Rafael Marín Zamora "Rafa Marin", Nicolás "Nico" Paz Martínez, & Guler.
Once they get sold these are the players should be sign based on their positions on or before July 2027.
Right Back: Jesus Fortea, Malo Gusto, Pedro Lima
Left Back: Alphonso Davies, Miguel Gutierrez
Centre Back: William Saliba, Leny Yoro, Dean Huijsen
Main Striker: Kylian Mbappe
Lastly Real Madrid must never offer a contract to these players for a RIGHT BACK position, that are inconsistent regardless of age, poor defensively, has disadvantage of height and strength (lacks muscles), proven already that unable to stop wingers/strikers in different leagues, injury-prone, has beyond 60 million euro's transfer-market value, and ageing 27 years old and above, and turning 27 years old and above on year 2027. We are referring to Darmian, Walker, Trippier, Di Lorenzo, Cancelo, Dumfries, Calabria, White, Mazraoui, Wan-Bissaka, Alexander-Arnold, Hakimi, Tomiyasu, Royal, Dalot, Porro, James, Boey, Frimpong, Couto, Livramento, Terracciano, Bradley, Sanchez, Lewis, Fresneda and Gray.
Madrid's decision could be costly. The acquisition of Mbappé could alter the balance of the team

As things stand they won't replace Kroos but rather shift back to a 433 instead of a 4312 with Bellingham dropping to midfield alongside Tchouameni and Valverde. Modric seems to be staying on for one more year, as does Nacho surprisingly. I don't expect any signings at rightback regardless of the age of players there currently simply because there are no good players on the market who are feasible transfer targets. Honestly, i expect Madrid to sign maybe 1 more player other than Endrick and Mbappe, either Davies or Gutierrez for leftback or a young, talented centerback like Yoro, that's it. They might look at Wirtz in '25 when Modric and potentially Ceballos leave but don't expect any midfield signings this summer.
they don't play 4312. they play 42 and the rest switches between various setups in game depending on the situation. And Camavinga is better than Tchouameni in midfield.
@@abody499 Camavinga might be better overall (i don't agree but the difference isn't so glaringly obvious in favor of Tchouameni that i'm willing to dispute your opinion because you might be right) but not as a DM. Cama's biggest weaknesses are getting caught out of position, losing the ball in unfavorable positions or sometimes overcommitting in his challenges while some of his biggest strengths are his ball carrying ability and his front foot defending / pressing. All weaknesses and strengths that don't translate well to a CDM role. They're great in a box-to-box role but Valverde is better still in such a role. IMO you have to play a CDM, leaving 1 spot for a b2b which would go to Fede.
Thanks for the thoughtful reply. I'm glad you have a well developed view of this situation, because I haven't seen many who have. Interestingly though, much like your view of Cama, I see Tchouameni's flaws as the most critical possible for that position.
I'd be interested in which examples you have of Cama getting caught out of position especially. It's not something I have noticed about him. I agree he can sometimes lose the ball, but from memory, I think that happened mostly while he was playing inside left. But it's also something that was more prominent in the past - he seems to be tidying up those kinds of errors (to be fair, I do think Tchou has improved on his main error too, which I'll get to below). On his challenges though, I totally disagree. I think both are great tacklers, and I have to admit that recently Tchou has made me question my opinion on that front, but I still think Cama edges it on tackling. He has great desire to make the right tackles at the right time. By that I mean being proactive and stopping anything developing, rather than allowing play to get into danger territory - incidentally, this is something I like about Carvajal, especially early on, and think was the difference in losing semis and beginning to win CLs. Anyway, I think Cama is slightly stronger in tackling. His timing is impeccable. His elasticity gets his legs around players perfectly, and he's strong. He does go to ground, but he rarely gets beat when he does.
I wonder if the yellow cards he gets puts you off on this respect? For me, DM was my preferred position (in my very amateur "career"), and I do think there's a lot to it that rarely gets spoken about. But sometimes I honestly get so frustrated with things like the yellow cards Cama has received that I feel like not watching football again. The physical side of the game is something I really enjoy watching, but it's being diluted and there's no consistency in officiating. This is especially bad when it comes to Cama. Some of the cards he's received are just bewildering. At one stage it seemed like he'd come on from the bench, make any tackle at all, and immediately get booked.
Positioning is (part of) everything. What I mean is, firstly the job is to be in the right space - to know where the angle is that cuts off the pass and to be where it's possible to track the runner goal side. This is the crucial element as I see it, and it's where Tchouameni's worst trait comes out, i.e. *ball watching.* There are so many examples to choose from with him, and I noticed it almost immediately when he arrived. Go back to his first games, and while they were all victories - I think RM won the first 7 games or more that season - but there were goals leaked in most of them, if not all. He was responsible for them all, or at least his ball watching made them all possible, when a more decisive player - Casemiro for example - could have stopped them. A couple of more recent notable examples are griezman's goal in the cup match v Atleti, and Gundogan's goal in Barcelona. In the first, on the highlights, the sequence begins just after Vini loses the ball. Pause it there - that's when Tchouameni should have reacted in the first place. He should have been immediately closing down that ball as it moved towards Griezman, but he just watches. He does the same throughout that whole play, watching the entire sequence unfold with zero intention to do anything about it. This is exactly what his job is to do - be aware of danger unfolding, and stop it from happening. There are so many times when he is in a position to do something, i.e. goal side, then ultimately the runner ends up past him and scoring, with Tchouameni watching from behind. It can be seen a lot for France, too. I don't understand why Deschamps, of all people, doesn't seem to catch this. I think Craig Burley on here has been the only pundit I've seen speaking about it (while discussing the Griezman goal). The gundogan goal in Barcelona, apart from his weird pass into no man's land, then highlights his ball watching too, as he began goal side of Gundogan, who then just breezes past him to challenge for the loose ball. He just lets danger unfold in front of him.
But to be more positive about him, I think his attributes are most obvious when he's played CB. I think he has everything to be a legendary CB for Real Madrid, because he seems to operate better when he knows he's the last line of defence, and can see the play coming towards him, rather than being in the middle of it.
Madrid back line is not as balance as the front line.

I started watching seria A more because of a discussion I had with someone about the prem v seria a. Overall yeah I guess you can make an argument that the prem has the better players but seria a isn’t that far off. I also believe the prem does a better job at marketing their players. In terms of competition it’s not that far off from the prem. I mean inter ran away with it this season, and now ac Milan, juve are great, but in terms of the mid table teams they are really competitive and fun to watch. I’d say the prem isn’t head and shoulders above seria A. Are they better sure but it’s not but much imo, the seria a is very competitive and had great quality. And now, Atalanta won the Europa league, I believe seria a closed the gap a lot the past 3 seasons.
