Awesome!!! Made me smile. I'm 72. Bought my first ski at 70. Tell your dad to rip it up! Life is too short. Sea Doo GTX 230/2021. Greetings from Rhode Island USA.
Awww thanks man, it was so nice for me to see him on a ski he is genuinely excited about beyond my love for the old stuff… as he lived through the 2 stroke era he didn’t really miss out like me… for me my love for the old stuff is a lot stronger but since day one he has supported me in finding the old skis so it was so nice to return the favour and be there as he bought his new machine. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🙏
Interesting that you guys have lakes there dedicated to jet skis and courses on them where as here in the States we just have all sports lakes (wakebording/skiing/ jet skiing) and lakes that are no wake due to being small. The people that own jetskis here at least where I live keep them on a lift during the season where as you trailer them to specific tracks almost like going to ride a dirt bike. Its nice being able to walk down to your ski already in the lake, but id also like to trailer in and ride different places. Nobody really caters to jet ski riders here like that. Its mostly seen as just recreation here not as a sport.
Interesting… there are pros and cons to both the way I see it… me personally being very anal with my skis, would hate the idea of leaving my ski just by the water edge exposed to the elements, even if it’s not rained etc sun can do just as much damage to fade plastics etc… I will say though, trailering here in the UK sucks! It’s the bit no one enjoys and it’s the necessary evil to ride out… there are a couple of lakes in the UK that people have cabins and leave skis on plastic pontoons but again this isn’t something I would do… what we do once a year is book a full weeks and leave the ski for the week at the lake to have full all day long riding but normally by the end of the week you are fed up with the lake so welcome going somewhere new… Here in the UK there isn’t actually many good lakes left, this one in the video is around 2 hours away and not necessarily a great example send, it’s just all we have to be fair.. I would love to come over and ride in the US… Thanks for watching 🙏
My friends and I all have 96 Xp 787s, and a few fast polaris skis we ride constantly and also a few bigger yamahas that I use to let friends and family enjoy. Jet skis and boating runs very deep in the locals here in the Lake Wawasee area in Northern Indiana. Over 100 lakes in my county area alone most of them being all sports lakes. Tons of boat manufacturers are stationed here. There are even a few Pro riders who live here and practice/test on the lakes. As for leaving my ski on the lift its always covered so really the only thing you have to worry about is the cover wearing over time. oh and big spiders hahaha. Cheers man. Keep up the quality content. @@classicjetskis
Really enjoyed this video. Love this channel, too. Your production quality is insane, and i’m surprised to see you don’t have a million subs!!! Have you thought about buying a seadoo HX?
Thanks man 🙌 I hope one day I do get millions of subs, I think the sad reality is 2 stroke content as much as I love it, is more of a niche audience hence why I’m slowly introducing more new gen skis to supplement and bring a newer audience to the old skis that there not necessarily aware of or searching for on TH-cam. 1000% I want a HX but it has to be a clean one and that’s so hard in the UK… it will happen though for sure! Thanks for watching and supporting dude 🙏
@@classicjetskis Thats awesome. Makes sense. I got a 300 hour 98 GTX Limited 951 that I love, I’m 17 and just wrote my college application about the ski… i’m addicted to these 2 strokes, and hope to have the caliber of collection that you have some day.
I know right… seeing that smile both when we pulled it out the barn for the first time and also putting it into the water was every bit I hoped it would be and more… it’s so true every time my dad said he got so much happiness seeing me find the old 2 strokes I dreamt of, having now seen the reverse with him finding a ski he loved is so powerful! It’s also so good now we both have skis as ride outs are getting more and more insane! Thanks for watching and supporting 🙏
His ski has just hit 20 hours, the 1st owner did the 10 hour break in and oil change… we have had around 72mph out of it so far.. but I’m sure on complete glass water it will do more, that’s before he even looks at a remap…. It’s a beast as it is to be honest so can only imagine with a few lights mods it will be insane! Thanks for watching 🙏
Nice man, sounds like a beast... my Dad is tempted to do a remap... as many say, the 1600 stock has more to give before you even switch up parts... I love your honestly and conceding that around a course and lake IMO older 2 strokes buoy to buoy, are where its at... at my local lake I can race around on my 951 and keep big 1600's behind, as short course there older small hull skis rule... on the sea in a straight line, a bigger super charger is fun but then again, wave jumping a old X4 and turning it 180 in the air is so fun... my concern with big skis with wave jumping is cracking the hull... The RS are very fun though... thanks for watching dude 👌😊
Nice rig!. In Canada we didn't have the "RS" on the name but I'm pretty sure it's the same non-US model so the speed limiter on them is set so they run 71+ mph whereas in the US they are limited to 69. Taking off the back seat makes a huge deck to hang out on those RXP/GTX's. I went the Yamaha route but am considering a new 2024 RXP 325. I can't believe they are £25,000 there or am I seeing ghosts? Good job on the presentation and everything. Cheers from across the pond in Nova Scotia.
Interesting, I think you guys have to be restricted by the coast guard or something right? But for sure that 300 RS has way more power in that ECU to be unlocked, I think it could do easy 75 with just a remap! I love the RS badge bolt on branding, pretty cool to differentiate from the standard RXTX 💪🏻 The new RXPX Or RXTX 325 for 2024 start at around £23,000 for the standard green/silver and around £25,000 for that stunning red… once you add a tech pack it will be around 27K 🥴 Thanks for watching and supporting 🙏
SCOM (speed control override module) will get them to over 75. The 2024 RXPX 325 is about $24000 here in Canada but the valvetrain and everything else is supposed to be good for a reflash to close to 90mph. I'll believe it when I see it. I'm a GP1800R owner and I know it's not breaking a sweat to run 87 at all on normal petrol. @@classicjetskis
I will try my friend, a lot of people have said about finding one of these, the issue is, here in the UK, I have never seen one... Thanks for watching ✌🙌
Hahah… you work with what you have… to be fair I love jetsking so much I would ride even in a thunderstorm 😂 we do get beautiful days of weather here in the UK but for sure it’s far less than other country’s to enjoy… here in the UK you will find guys wearing dry suits just to get alittle more ride time in a riding season…. Thanks for watching 🙏

That RXTX must be incredible with all that power.
As everyone knows I’m a 2 stroke lover but boy the 300 1630 pulls like a train… it’s a beast for sure! Dad is very happy with his purchase 😍

Love this! Especially the colour ❤
❤️❤️
I’m pretty sure the ECU holds back full power until 15 hours??
I think speed is reduced first 5 hours then break in is completed at 10 hours. Then you do the first oil change.

@@SnojetSteveyeppp my 21 RXTX does 76 all day and will flirt with 80 when the tank is low with just the scom added.
Please see if you can get your hands on a Kawasaki ultra 150 or ultra 130
