The quintet - Simona Dyankova, Stefani Kiryakova, Madlen Radukanova, Laura Tratets, Erika Zafirova - have delivered Bulgaria's first ever-gold in rhythmic gymnastics toppling pre-favourites ROC.
Bulgaria are the Tokyo 2020 Olympic champions after giving two flawless performances in the rhythmic gymnastics group-all around finals today at Ariake Gymnastics Centre at Tokyo 2020. Their ball routine topped the scoreboard followed up by their stunning 3 Hoops + 2 Pairs Of Clubs exercise which earned them a combined score of 92.100.

Madlen Radukanova played the routines in the Tokyo finals with a broken bone in her foot and they still managed to get the gold. Unbelievable! Well done to the Bulgarian team!

Their journey is legendary. Truly the Golden Girls. The best of the best ❤️🥇
And the Bulgarian team is now retired, they had their last gala as a team on December 16, 2021. And they couldn't attend the rhythmic gymnastics world championship in Kitakyushu, Japan because Laura Traets injured her back and they couldn't find a replacement.

Their pattern of movement is so intricate and their accuracy and timing is amazing as it is mesmerizing. This is the first time I've seen this Olympic event. I loved the team's fierce, synchronized walk in. I'd be intimidated if I was their competitor after their walk onto the mat, let alone after their performance. Absolutely sublime!

The Bulgarian group is very well-known and well-loved in the RG community for their grace, coordination, and artistry. The ladies in this group have since retired but Bulgaria constantly produces extremely talented athletes.
It's a shame there wasn't more people in the audience to appreciate this amazing display.....Encore👏👏❤

That opening sequence was 💯. The apparatus landed exactly where the gymnasts were. So accurate, and done so smoothly and no sign of pressure among the girls, something about it that I’ve never seen even with the Russian team. I always hoped Italy would be the team to dethrone the Russians, but Bulgaria has always been a strong contender.
Bulgaria is so far ahead of Russia and Italy in terms of their difficulty and execution. They always deliver such artistic performances.

Ahora el equipo se retiró en Diciembre de 2021, no fueron al campeonato mundial de gimnasia rítmica en Kitakyushu, Japón porque una de las gimnastas Laura Traets se lesionó y no pudieron encontrar un reemplazo.
