1. Brigham Young, second LDS Prophet, said, "Who can tell us of the inhabitants of this little planet that shines of an evening, called the Moon ?... When you inquire about the inhabitants of that sphere you find that the most learned are as ignorant in regard to them as the most ignorant of their fellows. So it is with regard to the inhabitants of the sun . Do you think it is inhabited? I rather think it is. Do you think there is any life there? No question about it; it was not made in vain" ( J. of D ., Vol. XIII, p. 271). Comment faire confiance en ces rigolos ???
In context, Brigham Young is making the point that scientists claim something is "fact" when they often have no tangible evidence, and that this is just as fanatical and ignorant as people making faith-based claims. At the time this sermon was given (1870), scientists said that there was for sure no life on the moon, but of course man had not actually seen the moon in person so they couldn't be absolutely certain. He then states his opinion that there is/was life on the moon. This is not a doctrinal statement, just the personal opinion of a guy not trained in astronomy who lived 150 years ago. The phrase "it was not made in vain" is completed by saying the purpose of the sun and moon is to provide light. I don't think you could find a Mormon currently on this planet who believes there is life on the moon. In the sealed books it said lehi married alma and they had a love child that flew out LEhis ass so that’s how fictional the Book of Mormon is two guys can’t make a bay girl
If you are going to attempt to make an argument against the Book of Mormon, at least try to articulate you thoughts in complete sentences with correct spelling. That way you won't look quite so uneducated and foolish.
From probably a “devout, saved and born again Christian” who hates Mormons...but confesses Jesus as his savior. Jesus would never speak as you do, even to his enemies
A Brilliant man with such knowledge!!
Love this
Nephites found themselves as GOLDFISH in a tank of infested Sharks. The new world was not empty or void of people.
