একদম ঠিক কথা বলেছো আমিও ইসকনের অন্য এক মন্দিরে গেছিলাম সেখানে তারা যত টাকার পুজোর বলেছিল সেই টাকা দিয়েই আমরা পুজো দিই। তারপর পুজো দিয়ে বের হবার সময় একজন আমাদের বলেন যে কিছু টাকা দান করতে ,আমরা 101 টাকা দি তখন উনি ভীষণ রেগে গিয়ে আমাদেরকে যা খুশি বলতে শুরু করলেন উনি বললেন আপনি কি মনে করেছেন ইসকন কি ভিখারী যে আপনি 101 টাকা দিচ্ছেন। আমি তখন বলি যে এর বেশি তো আমার সামর্থ্য নেই আপনি নেবেন না ভালোভাবে বলবেন এরকম করছেন কেন কিন্তু উনি তো কোন কথা শোনার নয় উনি ওনার মতন রেগে গিয়ে যা নয় তাই বলেই চলেছে তারপর আমি আর কথা না বাড়িয়ে চলে এসেছি।

Thanks Sneha for highlighting your ''bitter' experiences - in my opinion and experience I have encountered aggressive behaviour not only here in India but also in London by ISKCON devotees - the problem I feel is they are devoted to one supreme lord which is absolutely fine and to be respected but their training is to reform and convert especially the younger monks who have been trained to feel special but they misinterpret that themselves to think that they are superior to all others. They are made to believe their way is the only way. I am sure not all ISKCON members are the same but overall you will find that this aggression exists. When they chant down Oxford Street no-one but them exist :)
If anybody thinks that anybody superior then other they r just a beginner devotee what do u expect from them what u done in ur live is the most important thing. And I think ur a outsider iskcon have two type of main devotee like grihasta and brahmachari so pls u should be humble also to gain something from that

If it's like that ...people would better not go....don't forget these religious places thrive on tourists who are lovers of the Supreme lord...the devotees/ staff should most importantly remember to deal with respect...

With each passing year, all the famous places of worship are just turning into money minting business. The devotion/ piety is simply missing. I prefer visiting small temples in our locality. And the only religious place among the most visited or popular ones that has still maintained quality, cleanliness, hygienic surrounding, stay options, good satvik food is Shegaon(Gajanan Maharaj temple) near Akola, Maharashtra.

Exactly my point. I go there to pray and to be in presence of God. I dont mind traveling far and then standing in queues for hours just to get my darshan. But rush or no rush, we are literally pushed and shoved to keep moving. I can barely look at The deity for few seconds, not even an eyeful and thats painful. Also if the employees are appointed on salary basis, its the management/trust duty to ensure they are doing it with devotion and care. If being in such close proximity with God can't change their behavior, what can?And that too you are paid from the donation and other offerings from those very devotees. If someone is approaching with a query, does it harm to do so in a gentle manner, I dont think so. Why compare with Europe or other western countries? Atithi Devo Bhava is what our culture teaches and the least I expect is a decent answer to any query and nothing more. Not asking for a VIP treatment. I think I made my point clear. Nothing more to add.

Iskcon has become a big business centre, its no longer a simple movement began by Swami Prabhupada in 1965. I knew they have greed for money, but their rudeness cannot be pardoned, for the closer one goes to god, the softer one become... proving that they have come closer to money, and moved away from Krishna. All these places have staff who are sullen and rude and bad tempered. It's a job criteria,I'm convinced now. It gets one so upset. I dread going there because of them.
Those who are complaining about Mayapur becoming a big business centre kindly also take into consideration how much money is received just as donation mainly from overseas devotees. Same is utilised for free food for thousands on a daily basis. Please try to see the larger picture. Why is the same practice followed in Puri and Tirupati?? I am not associated with ISKCON but we Bengalis must try to appreciate another flavour of our diverse heritage.
Spiritual places are meant for austerity, not as a picnic spot. There are many big temples where there is Panda who doesn't behave properly, that doesn't mean the place is bad. It's just that they are very near and dear devotees of Lord and they take care of Lord which makes that place a home for them. If you are not treated properly in a holy dham, take it as a prasad from Lord and carry on. This making video and discouraging devotees to not visit holy dham will not take you and your family anywhere. May Krishna bless you with some sense.

Those who are complaining about Mayapur becoming a big business centre kindly also take into consideration how much money is received just as donation mainly from overseas devotees. Same is utilised for free food for thousands on a daily basis. Please try to see the larger picture. Why is the same practice followed in Puri and Tirupati?? I am not associated with ISKCON but we Bengalis must try to appreciate another flavour of our diverse heritage.
Spiritual places are meant for austerity, not as a picnic spot. There are many big temples where there is Panda who doesn't behave properly, that doesn't mean the place is bad.
It's just that they are very near and dear devotees of Lord and they take care of Lord which makes that place a home for them.
If you are not treated properly in a holy dham, take it as a prasad from Lord and carry on. This making video and discouraging devotees to not visit holy dham will not take you and your family anywhere.
