God makes room in your heart Mama❤ Also, constantly tell Max all the stuff he will get to teach baby! That has really helped my kids this year! He needs to know that he will be involved with baby too.
It is totally normal to feel weird or bad about having to share your love with your second baby to come. And when that second baby comes, you will wonder how there was ever life without them! You will fall in love with your second and not lose any love for your first. Just like before your husband came into your life, your heart just grows and invited him in. So, all normal feelings that likely every mom to be has had while pregnant with their 2nd child. I have 3 children (now adults and married) and the third was an extra special surprise and continues to be the light of our lives.
Aaah you guys are so wonderful!!! Congratulations!!! We got pregnant with our second one when our daughter was almost 2. And they are almost 3.5 and 1 year and they already have so much fun together. One thing I did was point out other kids with siblings and say ‘wow look at how lucky he or she is to have a little brother or sister a little partner in life to grow up with. By the time the baby was born she was so happy and excited. :)
My first two are only 21 months apart (and now 20 and 18). You will be amazed at how much Max loves his little sib! My one suggestion is just keep doing life all together, the way you are with him now, and as long as he feels like he is a part of things, he will mirror the tender care that you give the baby in his own behavior because he loves being a part of everything you do!

Congratulations to all of you! What a fantastic news. What helped a lot for our older son to familiarize the arrival of his sister were books where one child gets a sibling. Unfortunately I can’t recommend any in English language. What we did after the delivery is that the new born brought gifts for the older one. So in the hospital our older son Noah was showered with gifts from his sister Sophia, from us and from his grandparents.

I remember when I found out that I was having second son I was afraid that he would never be as great as my perfect first child with dark hair and huge beautiful brown eyes. My second son was blond blue eyed (now green) absolutely beautiful smart strong baby and very different. I love them both equally but I do have different relationships with them - their are very different people. It’s totally normal to have the feelings you have. You will be just as in love with your second baby as with your first. I am very happy for you. Lots of love 💕

They were all meant to come when they did...my middle child and youngest fight a bit more than the other 2 but the oldest and youngest get along great...I do have really great kids!!! ❤️

I swear though, they planned nightly wakeups though. I would just get one back to sleep and the other would wake up. So get your sleep now:). Treasure these times when they are little, so sweet!
We chatted a lot about the baby as my bump grew, if they might be asleep, what they might be like, what games they’ll play together one day. And got my little one to interact with bump, see if she could hear him in there, or feel him move. The best advice I had for when new baby arrives, is to make sure when you introduce toddler to baby for the first time, that you’re not holding baby. If the baby is in a Moses basket or somewhere, you and Max can go over together and baby won’t seem to be a threat or a wedge between you and him. Also don’t get him to hold or touch the baby until he wants to, he will in a short time. Wishing you so much good luck and happiness, 2 can feel crazy, but it’s completely brilliant xx

My kids are 16 months apart. When they were very small until they were much older we always prayed with/over them at night when going to bed. One thing we said was "Thank you for (insert sibling name here) who loves me and is my best friend." The Lord blessed this because to this day they are very close and good friends. I really feel that speaking that blessing into their lives had part of the responsibility for that. They are a junior and senior in high school today.
