Wondering if you should be using Whiteboard.Chat or another virtual whiteboard? We created another video where we share the pros and cons of three virtual whiteboards and help you decide which one you should be using. You can find that video here: th-cam.com/video/UACidxd2SxA/w-d-xo.html
👋 I have viewed so.many TH-cam's on whiteboard. Chat over the pass months, looked at it but never used it for teaching..But after excitedly watching you I knew you would bring it ALL together (😃😃) now I can follow you and practice hopefully very very soon..thanks a million
Thanks for being such a loyal subscriber and watching each week when new videos are released. I have been having a lot of fun with Whiteboard.Chat the past few weeks. I hope you and your students enjoy it too!
The vendor's videos are very dense and go over lot more features. This was a good intro. Features can be turned off for students (like no access to the calculator)
Thank you so much for this video! I have used whiteboardfi but this one seems to have more features. I will definitely give it a try today and start using it on Monday with my class.
Hey guys, first of all; thanks for uploading this wonderful video. Second, I would like to know which is the best tool for online notebooks? I would like to see my students' responses and classwork all in one place, instead of having to pass around each of their desks (no one seem to be using old school notebooks anymore) Thanks!
Thanks for watching! I like making my digital notebooks in Google Slides. I have another video here on my channel that shows how I do it. You can find that video here: th-cam.com/video/TkXERNjcEVA/w-d-xo.html
Greetings from Bangkok Thailand. Thank you so much Vestal. You are a wonderful Ajarn ('teacher' in Thai) Your explanation is very thorough and clear. And you are straightforward about what you would choose for better effectiveness. I really like that.
Helpful video! Definitely one of the best whiteboards out there. Have you also tried Pencil Spaces? Would love to know if you would recommend it to teachers.
Love your video but surprisingly at the end you still seemed to prefer Google jamboard that surprised me a little, when u were comparing you gave One positive for whiteboard chat and 2 negatives. However it was all positive for Google jamboard. Does that accurately represent your preference? Keep up your brilliant work.
Hi James! I love both Google Jamboard and Whiteboard.Chat. I think which virtual whiteboard you use depends on how you intend to use it. Google Jamboard is the easiest virtual whiteboard to use. If you just need something quick and easy, it is the best. Whiteboard.Chat offers a lot more features though. I also LOVE that is has more math manipulatives. So, if you are using a virtual whiteboard for math or want more tools for you and your students, Whiteboard.Chat is the best option.
@@Vestals21stCenturyClassroom Thanks for your detailed response l really appreciate that.l am really into digital technology Flipgrid, One Note , Sway , Forms etc. So l embrace the learning that is required to be good at using Whiteboard Chat l love the challenge.😂
Hi Debbie! Thanks for watching and commenting. I hope you and your students enjoy using Whiteboard. Chat. It is my favorite virtual whiteboard right now.
Hi! Thanks for watching. Whiteboard.Chat updated recently. You should still see "invite" in the upper, right-hand corner. The other two options are now available by clicking the three vertical dots to the left of "Invite." Hope this helps!
@@alexischeong4730 We recommend that you subscribe to our channel and check out some of our other videos about Whiteboard.Chat. We do our best to answer as many questions as possible but, please keep in mind, that we are not always able to answer every question.
I have been searching for a whiteboard that provides for many features. Did I miss the demo on having students collaborate on the same whiteboard? Is it possible for 2 or more students to work on a single board?
Hi Tonya! Thanks for watching. If you click on participants at the top of the board, you can click the option that says "Create group board." Then, select the students that you want to have work together on the board. Hope this helps!
Hi Don! Thanks for watching. At this time, Whiteboard.Chat does not offer any translation features. I have seen them make many updates over the past year though so maybe that is something they will consider for the future. At this point, your best bet is probably to use Google Slides with a translation add-on. I talk more about that in this video 👉 th-cam.com/video/FT_4JGA5vpQ/w-d-xo.html

Hi Sarita! Thanks for watching and commenting. Whiteboard.Chat is my favorite virtual whiteboard because it offers SO many great tools and features for teachers and students. I tried to highlight the most important ones in this video, but couldn't show everything due to time. I have created another video where I show one of the gaming features available through Whiteboard.Chat and how to use the bingo feature. If you are interested in checking out that video, you can find it here: th-cam.com/video/LruXzgFqV3s/w-d-xo.html
anyone has experience to tell, how this web online tool performs over more than 45 min with simultaneously several users regarding network stability and speed of sharing and locally running other applications as well (camera, pdf, email, calculator, word, excell, ...)?
Hi Nancy! Thanks for watching and commenting. I had only ever uploaded PDFs to Whiteboard.chat so I did some experimentation to see what other file types I could add. When you click the "Upload file" icon, it will allow you to select most file types that you have saved on your computer. I was able to successfully upload PDFs, Powerpoints, Word documents, JPEGs, and PNGs.
Hi! Thanks for watching and commenting. I don't have any Canva videos that have to do with student collaboration right now. I will put that on my list of videos to consider creating in the future. I do have a video on my channel about how to create a custom Google Site using Canva. If you are interested, you can find that video here: th-cam.com/video/6T5eOCtfPUM/w-d-xo.html
Hi Nomindari! Thanks for watching and commenting. I just checked and we do have the subtitles/closed captioning turned on. If you click the CC icon in the lower, right-hand corner of the screen, the captions should appear. I hope this helps!
Hi! Thanks for watching. You should be able to change your color by clicking the palette ("manipulatives") icon in the top right-hand side of the screen. Make sure your students have also selected a different color from what you have selected. Hope this helps!

Hi Yasmine! Thanks for watching and commenting. There are a few things you can consider doing. You could download your Genially presentation as a PDF. Then, upload the PDF to Whiteboard.Chat. The only things to keep in mind with this option is that you have to have a paid Genially account to be able to download a presentation as a PDF. Also, if you do it this way, students will not be able to use any of the Genially interactive features, although they could use the interactive features inside of Whiteboard.Chat over top of the Genially presentation. Another option would be to embed a link to your Genially presentation on the Whiteboard.Chat board. Students could click the link on the board and it would open the presentation in a new window. Hope these suggestions help!
