  • Tarp Only with no poles. When I purchased many years ago from Drifta, the 2x wing poles were included. It's disappointing to see that you now have to pay extra for these poles.

My Tarp uses the 2.8 metre wing poles which are extra and do not come with tarp.

That’s a huge size. Would be practical.

Nice. How long does it takes for you to set it up on your own? So when it's super windy and stormy, you are saying use the 2 poles only and when it's calm and quiet you can connect the side poles? Are the side poles also 2.8m?

It takes about 10-15 minutes by myself. Correct, if it is really windy, I only use the 2x 2.8 metre centre poles.
Last camp trip, we had a heavy rain storm and didn't bother removing the extra side poles. As long as the ropes were kept tight so as not to allow pooling of water on the tarp, it was all okay.
I messed up the peg out dimensions on the video, but the dimensions are on the Snow Peak website (link in the description).

So sad, for an expensive tarp and it didn’t come with poles.

You could try a Drifta alternative less $$$.
