      India already has shaurya hypersonic missile inducted in 2011.
      Last year drdo successfully test fired scram jet powered hypersonic vehicle. In this very complex propulsion system the hypersonic wind that comes into the combustion chamber has to be burnt with the fuel at supersonic speeds. Most of the time flame gets extinguished. Now drdo has succeed in developing. It is a major breakthrough in propulsion technology, aero dynamics technology and a major breakthrough in technology of materials. As hypersonic vehicle travels the temperature reaches as high as 1500 degree Celsius on the skin of the hypersonic vehicle. To sustain such temperatures drdo had to develop materials like carbon carbon silicon carbide and other wide variety of super alloys and other things who's information is not available in public domain. In order to craft such futuristic hypersonic vehicle you need very complex machinary and very highly skilled man power. I think india is leading the world in hypersonic technology thanks to drdo. Plus all the complex electronics guidance and navigation systems have to be especially developed for a hypersonic vehicle. As u cannot copy and paste these things from a supersonic cruise missile like brahmos. No one will help you to develop such highly complex futuristic hypersonic vehicle.
      Infact as far as brahmos is concerned all the electronics fire control system software it's chip that is the brain of the missile all the software air frame guidance navigation and control system of brahmos was all developed by drdo. Only ram jet engine and air frame was imported. Now drdo has developed it's own ram jet engine. Our state of the art akash air defense system uses a throttlable ram jet engine.

    If range of the Brahmos is to be extended to 600 kms and eventually to 800 kms then it looks like the Nirbhay is over. The Brahmis is a known quantity now and it may be possible to extend its range and other features far more easily than with a new clean sheet design. Thanks for sharing this important and positive news.

    There is one more difference in Attack and SSBN and that is their application. To deploy the ballistic missile you need to be close to enemy mainland as much as possible there you need SSBN. But to save your own country from any SSBN submarine or destroyers you need attack submarines near to your coastline. Even to blockade the maritime attack submarine is required.

    • @abirbo
      @abirbo 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      To deploy a ballistic missile there is no need for the submarine (SSBN) to be anywhere close to the enemy land. It can stay as far as it wants. That is why ballistic missiles have very long range, so that they can be fired from anywhere in the world to reach targets anywhere in the world. During the Cold War, Soviet submarines used to regularly stay hidden under Arctic ice sheet ready to fire missiles at US.

    Hey alpha,, i got a question,, why Brahmos is called cruise missile when it has a speed of mach 3/4?? Or does it start with subsonic speed and gain supersonic speed in it’s terminal phase like klub missile of Russia?

    • @abirbo
      @abirbo 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Missiles are of 2 types; cruise and ballistic. Ballistic missiles leaves the atmosphere and renters it. Whereas a cruise missile remains within the atmosphere throughout. They both follow different trajectory, hence the name. Also, cruise missile fly close to the terrain (low altitude), unlike ballistic missile. Cruise missiles start with subsonic speed. Once it reaches a particular height, then the supersonic motor starts and carries it accordingly. Kalibr is also a cruise missile.

    Why we are not making Small attack submarines with a crew of 4-6 members instead of 6000 tonne submarine which are very costly and will take significant time to built? Small submarines will be easy to operate and can be produced in large numbers and can increase our presence in international waters and Indian ocean significantly. Please make a video on it.

    • @abirbo
      @abirbo 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Midget submarines does not serve much purpose to us. Also, they won't be able to operate in deep sea unlike larger submarines primarily due to their lower fuel capacity. They will have to frequently return base for replenishments. They will have to mostly operate in littoral zones. It may be cost effective but does not serve strategic purpose.

      Fuels are not only carried on wing but distributed all over the body of the fighter mainly behind the canopy. Even Aesa can have 200km range, but the advantage is that it cannot be jammed & provides more info than pesa radar. And now with aesa radar being made more power & weight efficient, the range can be increased

      @ALLAH:- JAHNUM BHEJ DUNGA shaurya is a hypersonic cruise missile that travels 7.5 times the speed of sound. Inducted in 2011. It can also be fired from a submarine. Shuarya gets launched like a ballastic missile but travels within the atmosphere and then in mid flight it converts into a cruise missile and starts manuvering like a cruise missile before hitting the target. It's flight control laws are very unique it's a contemporary hypersonic cruise missile. While our hypersonic test demonstrator vehicle powered by a scram jet engine is a futuristic hypersonic vehicle.
      Drdo is very secretive about shaurya missile and it's insane destrutive capabilities

    • @deepinsight1175
      @deepinsight1175 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ALLAH:- JAHNUM BHEJ DUNGA shaurya is a hypersonic missile so obviously it can't manuvere like super sonic missile. Similarly a sub sonic missile will be far more manuverable than a supersonic cruise missile. It's just laws of Physics. So considering this shaurya is still highly manuverable for a hypersonic missile. Aur brahmos se bhi bhayanak destruction phailata hai shaurya. Shaurya Destruction capabilities is many times more than brahmos. Drdo never talks about shaurya. It keeps it's capabilities secret.

    Very good information about Brahmos-X. However there seems to be confusion as far as P76 is concerned.
    1. It was initially decided to have 6 SSBNs and 6 SSNs, to be funded and directly monitored by PMO.
    2. Diesel electric submarines P75 - 6 nos, P75I - 6 nos and P76 - 12 nos were planned. In which P76 were to be totally Indian designed submarines.
    3. Now IN is funding SSNs from her budget and program is named as P75A.
    4. In my humble opinion, Sandeep is also in confusion and diesel electric submarines program P76, has been termed as SSN P76 program. Thanx.
