Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it just strictly better to coin level freeze on three? Dog would end up having a shell collector still on board to potentially help mitigate damage, the next tavern tier is 1 gold cheaper (freeze offsets this though), and on the turn he gets the quest, he would double buy the shell collectors anyways, which would give a number of extra procs for multiple different quests? Like for instance here, it would have been an extra 4 procs of cards added to hand (one shell collector, a coin, shell collector, then triple shell collector). Plus he would get extra procs for buying minions, playing nagas, and summoning minions if he got those quest requirements. Like I honestly don't see any benefit whatsoever for double buying on turn 3 except for getting a free refresh on tavern 2 the following turn, and all of the other potential benefits from going 3 on 3 seem to be far better.
I don't think it is actually worth it. In dog's way, he was more prepared to quickly fulfill a bigger variety of quests. That's what he's been saying since quest meta start: "holding cards to fulfill quests is so strong" I'm an 8k, so don't take my word into account so much lol
