Your complain about having to use an Allen key does not take into account that it is needed. When you must use the camera backing plate, because you need clearance for bigger lenses which hang lower that the camera base, there would be no way to screw the plate to the camera without that hexagonal wrench.

I have a Sony a7iii with a Samyang 35-150mm lens. Combined weight is less than 2KG. I am not able to balance it. Do you think you can find a way to balance it?

This gimbal can take upto 2.5 KG. So it will balance.
