I use Viki because TH-cam sometimes they will cut the music off and the subtitles along with it. Then again, I will sometimes watch TH-cam, because Viki may not have what I want to see, or it's not available in the US to watch.
Viki has always been better so is iQIYI they show cast and u can access the cast to see what dramas they have been in they dont show a bunch of other stuff
I have both streaming services, and you are right, Viki is better with subtitles than TH-cam...I didn't know why the music and background noises were muted on TH-cam videos until now. Thanks for clarifying that for me!
Agree, but comment section on U-Tube wins hands down.
If its a drama I like enough to rewatch,I watch on both platforms.
Translation on ViKi is the winner.
Also ViKi for sound quality.
They complement each other. There are many series and movies that are released on TH-cam and do not appear on Viki. I keep track of what I watch and TH-cam has over 100 titles that Viki does not have. The subtitles on Viki also depend on the team. Some are really good and professional level while others are really lousy. Viki also censors the comments section. It the comment somehow contradicts what the moderators (not necessarily Viki) think about the series or movie, they simply delete it. Viki also has the bad habit of simply removing series without any warning. I already missed some because it simply removed them while I was watching. I'm a paying member and wrote to them about it but nothing was done. So, one must also beware of that.
I've noticed that too. I've been watching c-dramas for years now, and have picked up a lot of the language, so, it frustrates me when the subs on viki aren't what is being said.
Localizers are already translating c-drama, and I hate it.
Thank you for the information. I have Viki, and if the drama shows on both, Viki is my choice. I appreciate the subs and the translators efforts, not to mention the reviews and funny comments 😊. I had wondered why the sound was missing in some TH-cam dramas - First time I thought was my device 😅

I totally agree with the video. I started out just watching on TH-cam but then I ran into episodes not being English dubbed or only able to watch a few episodes and then you would have to go to another site to watch the rest. I just recently started watching on Viki and have decided to subscribe with the standard package. Absolutely enjoying the Viki site. Thanks!
I had a lot of issues on TH-cam where the subtitles were not syncing. They would come 30 sec or more after where they should be. Very frustrating. Also there were places were the subtitles just weren't there.
The only and i mean only reason i watch u tube dramas is if i cant access the drama on viki or iQIYI their format or layout is way way better the fact i can access ( episodes and cast ) also can access comments you cant do that on u tube there are no choices you get what they give
I am very happy with Viki! I find their English Subtitles to be pretty good, often coming with brief historical or cultural explanation.I also like that they subtitle the songs on the OST. Often very beautiful lyrics. ❤❤
I was with Vicky for few years.$15 month. I cancelled it for TH-cam.$11a month. I prefer TH-cam.
I'm fine with TH-cam... Some things mentioned as flaws, like the loss of music, don't bother me, so the benefits outweigh them. I don't want to have to download another site when I'm already using TH-cam for work and other activities.

Also Viki has dramas that are not available without youtube membership and/or have not your desired language subs, it recently happenned to me.
Spesso si Vicky i sottotitoli in italiano sono molto in ritardo ma non tutte le serie di you tube sono sottotitolate in italiano e a volte la tradizione è strana
