    I was happy to see that OrangeLine DEJAVU got some attention. Have to correct a small inaccuracy about resets in the video here. By default DEJAVU only resets the random sequence on external reset. Thus everytime the most inner repition circle reaches the top, a new random seed is generated and a new sequence will start. For example. If you use two repition rows (1:len 8, dur 16 and 2:len 2, duration 4) you will get the 8 step sequences (every char represents a 8 bit sequence) A, A, B, B, A, A, B, B, C, C, D, D, C, C, D, D, E, E,.... So after 8x16x4 steps a new random sequence starts (..., C, C, D, D, C, C, D, D,...). There is a right click option in the menu (Loop). If you check the Loop option, DEJAVU will not generate a random seed at end of sequence, but will reuse the seed given by the knob or CV input. In the example above you will get the same 64 step sequence A, A, B, B, A, A, B, B repeated until DEJAVU reads a different seed at end of sequence. A nice usage of this is to generate up to 16 deterministic CVs and gates determined by a single cv connected to the seed input of DEJAVU. Just disable all repetition rows and check the Loop option in the right click menu. Now, on every clock input, DEJAVU will generate all outputs from the given seed. Of course, if you don't change the seed given to DEJAVU, it will generate same output on every clock tick. Hope this clarification is helpful.

      I recently fell in love with Dejavu. Took a while for my retired brain to get grasp of it :D but it's fun, very original in its approach. Did you ever consider an EOC output?

    • @dieterstubler6269
      @dieterstubler6269 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JanDTio there is polyphonic trg 8 chnl out, giving you triggers for each row, reaching a dot and reaching top. So there is a kind of eoc already avaliable

    Now I'm wondering how to walk the panning back and forth with each successive note on that legato thing. Could be an interesting effect to play with.

      You can try an envelope or maybe a synced LFO
