Banglalink 4G hosted Dhaka Rock Fest 2.0 on December 23rd, marking the second edition of the vibrant music event. The event features numerous bands, from iconic Warfaze and Aurthohin to emerging young bands Subconscious and Conclusion, showcasing Bangladesh's unique music culture and performances by well-known bands like AvoidRafa, Indalo, Conclusion, Shrapnel Method, Brahmaputra Bangladesh, and Arekta Rock Band.
Aurthohin, a pioneering Bangladeshi alternative rock band, was formed in 1998 by Saidus Sumon, AKA Bassbaba Sumon, Tonmoy Rahman, Ponir and Rumi Rahman. Aurthohin has led the music industry in Bangladesh like a monarch since the beginning of its journey. The sudden disappearance of this revolutionary band felt like a pause in an era. But this is Aurthohin we are talking about, it's like a phoenix that reincarnates from its own ashes. With this noteworthy performance, Bassbaba Sumon fired up the stage with one of their marked songs, Odbhut Shei Cheleti. This beautiful song depicts a young boy struggling with hardship, hunger and homelessness. He sings with his guitar and harmonica, finding solace in nature. The song highlights resilience, hope, and the power of music to provide comfort and strength during challenging times. By the great Aurthohin, this song represents all those passionate souls that want to pursue music but face endless obstacles.
