Watch squid game instead acolyte is woke disney garbage
Really like him in his role. Good choice Lucas!
Finally Korean star after I’ve been asking for Jisoo since years ago please Jisoo next Korean and Nicola and Luke thanks if you have Luke please have him try the Colin snack
@@jamyphill what about it is woke specifically? Also, define “woke” and why you think it’s a bad thing…
@@Jinkook-wu1pu there are other korean star in hollywood..lol
Even with the language barrier, he’s really charismatic.
Yeah you either have it or don't, and he CLEARLY has it. It should be hard to tell with the language barrier but he's great.
I agree
There are old clips of him on the catwalk (modeled before he got into acting). He really had "It" back then, too.
He has 2 previous DUI's I have no respect for someone who drives under the influence. Especially repeat offenders
@@LegendaryNuggets there's always the pearl clutchers lol
Apparently he learned English solely for The Acolyte, which I find amazing. I genuinely assumed he was a fluent English speaker considering his line delivery in the show. What a talented and committed actor!
He spoke some English in the movie Deliver Us From Evil
@@GhilenPeekdude is more bad ass when he is bad guy hahahaha
Yes he had an English coach and in one interview he said that he had a hard time pronouncing the letter W.
@@marissaancheta4080 my Austrian grandpa had a similar problem. We had a shop in UK called Woolworths (his fave) which for some reason he pronounced “Voolyverths”
All Koreans have mandatory English classes in middle school and high school. English is also a part of standardized testing for college entrance in Korea. So, he probably didn't learn English solely for the Acolyte.
He seems so polite, and understands food is part of a national identity so he is very considerate .
Yes Koreans place a lot of premium in being polite especially in the entertainment industry.
Wait are you from squid game
He can't speak English. He just says the words
He really is one of the first people I've seen do this who is so excited to try new flavours and embrace them! He is absolutely delightful.
It's good to see someone with an open mind and interested in trying new things, and actually take a bite of the food 😂
Love the way he asks "why" and "don't you think", it's just delightful lol
One of the best actors and nicest off screen actors alive.
Polite but straightforward Jung Jae. I very much like him in Acolyte. His charismatic voice and eye acting are truly well fit in his role. Excited and looking forward to Wednesday!
Don't know why, but this dude just makes me smile. It's his expressions I think. Like full of open wonder.
These korean actors just seem so humble and down to earth
Never forget they are actors and we dont know them for real. The korean entertainment industry is nutty and many dark things have happened before....but way more in this K-pop bs.
@@calistafalcontail Compared to places like the US, South Korean entertainment's 'Dark stuff' is a child's playground.
@@calistafalcontailThe same could be said of any industry.
@@calistafalcontail It is Dark side of Jedi, don't you think?
@@calistafalcontail Why is there always one of you with these type of replies literally anytime someone says something remotely positive about Koreans?
He's so lovely and polite!! South Koreans are truly a different breed. So gracious.
lol, you must be new here
@@obviuslee7713 what's that supposed to mean?
@@kaleighcoutermarsh4922 i mean south koreans are not as nice as they want you to think lol search Burning Sun scandal
you haven't met a lot of koreans
@@kaleighcoutermarsh4922 try being someone from south east asia, or any 3rd world country and you'll see what i mean, and also, Korean men are known for being misogynistic that's why more and more women choose not to get married/not having children
cant believe there comes a day i see lee jungjae on snack wars
This dude just puts a massive smile on your face 😊😊
can someone explain to me how the 51 year old lee jung-jae is so ridiculously adorable 😅😭
I appreciate how he attempts to make it easier for people to understand what he's saying when he's speaking korean just so people can get an idea of what exactly it is he wants to convey!!
He is infectious, appears on screen as a really genuine, funny and nice guy.
너무 아는 맛이라 새로운 맛 선택하는 게ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 근데 워낙 솔직하셔서 저거 다 찐으로 맛있을 듯
He is lovely and charismatic.
Whoa, this is so cool seeing him on snack wars!!! I love LJJ, he’s such a Korean icon! He looks so good as a Jedi.
I still recall watching him for the first time back in the early 90's in k-drama "Sandglass". Lee Jung-Jae actually grew up in a neighborhood in Seoul where my friend lived and as a younger kid he always wanted to hang out with my friend (or so is what I was told by my friend). He's come such a long long way from those days. As a Korean I am so proud of his success. Looking forward to seeing him more in both Korean and non-Korean productions.
For those of who don't know, Lee has been a huge star in Korea nearly 3 decades. And he still looks the same! But the way he reads the bottle cracks me up. He reads it like my mom. lol
"Why?" Lee Jung Jae is all of us outside the UK who've tried Twiglets 😂
I'm British and I think "why" to twiglets 🤣 i agree, too much burn aha
1:36 oh man i can't stand how sweet and cute he is😭
i can't believe he's in his 50s
He seems like such a nice guy
He’s by far the best part of The Acolyte so far.
Biggest star in Korea to the one of the biggest franchise! It's a big deal, when a Korean actor makes it to a big franchise that's when I knew they've made it
@@prasithoudomvilay8454Nah, he already made it with Squid Game. That was massive internationally.
@@prasithoudomvilay8454 Somebody should have told him that Hollyweird is a dumbster fire now and that Star Wars is pure woketard trash since these chicks have laid hands on it. He cant save this mess either. A big franchise means nothing when its so bad now. I feel for him cause people hate the acolyte and he has to know its NOT because of him.
Hes the only good thing about this mess. But he cant carry it all.
@@prasithoudomvilay8454 A big franchise that is being brutalized, mutilated and whose corpse is desecrated by Disney.
Such an adorable Goofball he is !!! How can someone be so freaking cute in his 50s & being almost 30 years my senior?!
Bro was just being nice to the UK lol
I think the uniqueness of the experience and flavor is what appealed to him. He was familiar with most of his own food.
Good 2 try something new 4 a change
PS : i also eaten those K snacks before from Singapore supermarket except the fish sausage one hahahaha
The UK just has elite snack foods, idk why weirdos like you have always gotta hate 🤦🏻♀️
What a gentleman ❤🥰
Such a lovely sight to see this beautiful actor on my screen. Humble looks but powerful actions, really deserves more recognition in the world so that others can see what a powerhouse this man is.
I love how open-minded Koreans are with different cultures. They are so willing to try new things. He was so wholesome and respectful
hes on a show. he has to
@@ckookiemonsternah you should've seen others in this series, sometimes they won't even touch the food
No they’re not normally 😂
You have no idea how normally Koreans are fussy with food
Girl please, that's just him, not all Koreans. They can be pretty picky from what I've seen 😭
Seems a lovely guy - wonderful actor too
What a genuinely nice guy.
Really tried everything put in front of him too. Considered his responses. Liked him before, like him even more now.
I did not expect to see LJJ in Snack Wars!!!! So happy to watch this and JungJae Lee trying UK snacks😂😂 Love it sm
Relentless effort and modesty deserve applause. Well done!
Thanks for sharing this awesome moment with us 💓
I ❤ Lee Jung Jae! It’s so great to see him here! I didn’t think he eats so much!
I can't wait for season 2 of Squid Games
I guess you do get the sense that Lee is a very loveable and wholesome character just by his facial expressions, but as a Korean, I can't help but notice how carefully he chooses his words and how extremely well spoken he is when he talks. It's no secret that he was born in a pretty wealthy family, and so this video is the equivalent of a posh - but not in a bad way - Brit trying out and introducing some of the cheapest snacks of both countries. Quite funny in context. 😂
he is soooo open with new foood wowww
His english has improved SO MUCH, wow. I like that he looks more confident now speaking english. I guess living abroad for a couple months really did wonders.
LJJ is such a cutie! Love his infectious laugh ❤
JUST REALIZED HE'S ALSO THE GUY FROM "NEW WORLD"! HOLY SHH--- I LOVED THAT MAFIA MOVIE !!
One of my favorite Korean movies! He was so great!
& Squid Game
his like a dicaprio level actor in Korea. many legendary films... i strongly rec 관상 (2013) 觀相, The Face Reader
I love the way he says chocolate.
Seems like a really down to earth guy.
So talented and such a cutie! One of my favorite actors. It's worth tracking down his movies.
I really enjoyed watching this. 😊
This guy was extremely good in Deliver Us From Evil film before fame. Dark character
What a legend! Seems like a proper genuine guy
Yep! Watch him on Korean interview especially this show called pinggyego, he is very humble
What a charming man.
he's such a cutie
I think I saw somewhere that they loved Star Wars so much and wanted to be in it so they learned English to play the part, which is so freaking cool!
Sweet how he's being kind to the "host" country he's in
I aspire to be as happy as this guy
He seems proper lovely! Got a new Anglophile by the looks of it too!
It was the Scottish drink he took home so maybe more of an overall Britophile ;)
He comes across like a really nice person
The squid game legend
It's true that in Korea, they aren't used to pie with meat.
But if I can relate to a "pastry with meat", the closest would be 호빵 (Ho-Ppang) or 찐빵 (Jjin-Ppang) where there are variants: one being sweet pastry (the filling is sweet red adzuki bean paste) and the other being savory (filling is like similar to Chinese dumpling or Japanese gyoza filling which they do use grind or mince pork as the ingredient)
Very polite and seems very open minded
Am I the only one who thinks he would make a fantastic Joker ?? I mean just look at his smile & laugh at 2:52
seeing LJJ in snack wars was the last thing i was expecting to see this year 😂
🤣As an Australian, I felt so bad for him at the Twiglets. We play the same kind of tricks on visitors with Vegemite.
(BTW, I have gotta find some Twiglets to try!)
So happy to see Lee Jung Jae 🥹❤
He looks very cool.
I love that commitment and takes proper bites before he knows if he’ll like it or not and then even with the twiglets he ate a 2nd one!
He's lovely!
He’s such a great actor! His acting was so on point in Acolyte! ❤
I'm happy seeing he's getting recognition. Love his acting, and he seems very sweet
He just exudes such a loveliness
Such a humble guy
He enjoyed the UK food
Choco Pie is super famous in Korea. It's on par with like Oreos.
It looks exactly like a chocolate called Wagon Wheels in the UK! 😋
i love snack wars but watchdd this primarily because i knew he learned English for Acolyte and was curious how good it was outside the amazing work he's done on that show. i dont know if there was a translator there for him on this but either way i am still super impressed. i didn't watch Squid Games but am very excited to see him in more after Acolyte.
such a brilliant actor 👏 👌 ❤
He is adorable!!!
Commenting on how nice and charismatic is, i agree too. But ive just seen this dudes 51! He looks fantastic for his age
Lee Jung-Jae is the only reason I still watch the acolyte. What a charming person
예의바르고 친절한 사람❤
JJ is such a treasure!! He seems like a really genuine guy. Can’t wait to see more of him in The Acolyte💥
Wait for squid games 2, forget rubbish like the Acolyte
He is awesome🥰💜👍
1:45 are you sure i can drink this 😂
It's not an old bottle of wine 🍷 man
Haha the way he react to the irn bru drink
I absolutely love Lee Jungjae. Watched him on Pinggyeo recently and cried my eyes out. He’s so funny😂😂
이정재 영어 공부하느라고 악몽 꾸고 고생 많이 했다는데 .... 진짜 끝없는 도전과 연기에 대한 사랑. 너무 존경합니다.
If there is documentary of Heung Min Son, Lee Jung Jae could easily be Son future self or even his father in the series. They pretty much looks the same tbh. And vice versa as Sonny could become Lee Jung Jae younger self but for sure need acting class too haha
Love the legend since young
Great choice on keeping the Irn - Bru
He is by far the best actor on the show so far!
💯 % 🙌
I freaking love Twiglets 😅❤
Colin the caterpillar has to meny remakes
There's a chathrine, Kevin...and So meny more. Every big supermarket has there own remake.
Also I didn't know they made little Collins
He's usually a big log cake.
We have alot similar to choco pies for a example
Tea cake and
Wagon wheels (there's a jam version to)
Back to back Snack Wars!
Wow, what a class act! He tried everything and gave them all a fair shot.
what a sweetheart!
신기하고 새로운 맛에 도전
재밌어요♡♡♡
Lee Jung Jae is super sweet
"Too much burn" is a perfect description for Twiglets xD
Love him 😂
Bro had to speak English when the crew said the they loved the marmite snack😂
If you wanna see more about his acting my recomand is 'City of the Rising Sun'
So charming 😊
Master Sol is my favorite character in the acolyte.
He is now global star ⭐️
as scottish I've said it once and I'll say it again, even though for some Irn Bru is an aquired taste LOL, it feels like the nectar of the gods, so complex compared to coke, love both but irn bru for the win, especially when mixed with ice cream for a float, omg so good.
