Everything you see around you - the plants, birds, animals, earth, water, mountains, even human beings - seem to be real, do they not? You can see them, touch them, feel them, smell them and hear them, so they all seem to be very real to you. But in actual fact they are not real they are only apparently and seemingly real…
Man is caught in the coils of this illusion, this Maya. Death, pain, and pleasure are all manifestations of this illusion…
The illusion is harmless to the devotee of God. That same illusion, so dangerous to the person who does not believe in God, protects the devotee from all harm. The cat carries the kitten in the mouth from here to there, and the kitten is unharmed - but a rat is killed by a cat. It is the same mouth in both cases. Maya brings trouble, yet it is the same illusion that tenderly protects the devotee of God…. The devotee may do work for God and pay no attention to the powers of the illusory world. God protects His devotees. His devotee is near and dear to God and He carries the devotee safely through life.
There may be ordinary people, foolish people, ignorant ones, scholars, great people, but the flower of love can blossom in every heart. You need not go in search of the Lord anywhere. He is very close to you. He is everywhere. There is a small fire emanating from the charcoal which is burning. Charcoal is covered with the ash. The ash covers the fire. If you remove the ash, you can see the fire. The Lord resides in your own heart. If this illusion is removed from our heart, then He emerges in all His glory. Through chanting the name of the Lord, this Illusion can be removed. Then you can get all bliss - which will end all sorrows. Accept this truth!
