This is so helpful! Thank you!
Amazing photos! Definitely doing this loop in the next few years.
Yes, one of my favorite areas in the Sierras!
Wow. Lots of good pictures and advice. Thank you.
You're welcome!
Thanks for putting this together! It's been a hike that has avoided me for a few years for various reasons, but hopefully one I can knock out soon. The advice will be useful.
I definitely recommend it. One of the most beautiful parts of the Sierras. Thanks for watching!
Lots of helpful info!
Thank you for watching!
Beautiful place!
Yes, it is! Looking forward to going back someday.
@@outdooradventurefilms1436 I bet! I'd definitely love to film there one day
Thank you for making and sharing this video. It has been very helpful. I am planning on doing this loop (clockwise) in a couple months. Do you recommend staying Bubbs Creek or Vidette Meadow at the end of my trip?
I stayed at Bubbs Creek when I did this loop and at Vidette Meadow when I did the JMT. I think Vidette Meadow wins for me. It has a lot of flat area to camp near the creak. It has a bear box if you need it. You might go slightly out of the way for those sights when doing the loop, but it's a nice area.
Thanks for sharing. What time of the year did you do it to miss the permit system?
We did this hike at the very end of September. It was only a day or two after the permit system ended for the year. Thanks for watching, Neal!
Are you allowed to do this in November?
I believe you can do this in November and would not be subject to the trail limits. You probably just need to fill out a walkup permit. However, it is probably not recommended to do this in November unless you are skilled and trained in mountaineering in snow. There is a high probability for snow storms in November.
