I have a mimic story for you. I lived in SoCal for a year with my husband and I was pregnant at the time. We were living in a friend's garage and it had a side door that lead to the backyard that we kept open at night for airflow because we were in the desert and it was hot. One night I had trouble sleeping and I turned over in bed and say my husband crouched down next to me staring at me. But he couldn't have been because I could feel him in bed behind me. I stared at "my husband" for like 30 seconds and he looked so solid and real. He even moved and breathed. I turned my head and then looked back again and he was gone. I thought that maybe I was tired and hallucinating, but like a month or so later I was in the hospital because I gave birth and when my husband visited he said he saw ME peaking out at him from that open side door! For the longest time we both wrote off those experiences because we weren't in a good place and it was affecting us. But recently I've been thinking about them more and wondering if we hadn't actually encountered something after all. Maybe it was nothing, but the more I think about it the more strange it is that we both had a similar experience like that.
The crazy dissociation I got when she was talking about how dangerous the Victorian era was and it makes me wonder what they’ll say later about us. Like imagine someone saying: “Yeah you wouldn’t have survived the early 2000s because they altered the food pyramid as a marketing scheme for breakfast cereal companies and caused an outbreak of health issues in America, they used synthetic food dyes linked to behavioral issues and cognitive disorders in children, known carcinogens as preservatives were in your food, perfume, makeup, and clothes…”
I believe it was Bernadette Banner who talked in a livestream about this once, that people from modern era likes to always look at the negative sides of an older time period and say how awful it was living back then to feel better about themselves and what they got in their time period.
Yep! She’s trying not to laugh lol. If this was real, she’d be freaking out, and same with the Dad - his voice is not terrified sounding at all like most parents would be if this was real lol.
The woman who's organs was missing after a surgery and that passed away was a very close friend of mine, absolutely broke everyone's heart, she was such a lovely woman and her kids are still in deep sadness. Her send off was absolutely beautiful, RIP.
Sometimes I have a hard time believing mimic tiktoks bc I feel like it could be edited in and they’re like heyyy did you hear it sounded JUST like me but it really is just them lol. But the skit with the kid was so creepy I was relieved that he really was home
Right I kinda feel that way too. Like the girl in the video at the 22 minute mark. It sounded like she pre recorded it, I can’t explain why just I just get that feeling
6:00 😢🥺 Just thinking about what the sister went through while she was next and finding out the news. Then being alone too! I wonder what really happened during her surgery? Were they even licensed or were they taking ppl's money unlicensed and ran into complications during surgery? Still I don't see why it would result in those particular organs being missing! Something definitely isn't right here! I hope the sister didn't go through with her surgery and was able to get her money back. Then to not let her see her sister's body.......That doesn't make sense. They had to have been covering up or hiding something. Each question I have brings forth more questions. 😔
You know I never associated mimic to hearing the voice of a loved one. Since I was little witches and other creatures could copy voices. I have an experience from when I was in College and living with my dad. We were living in a double wide trailer, and my room use to be a baby's room so it had no door. I remember I had just put up a poll at the top and had a 2 curtains in place to be my "door." I had a bit of OCD when it came to it as well, because I always found the hallway to be creepy, but my belief is if the curtain is closed all the way, nothing could come in. My twins room was beside mine, but the wood of her door swells so it becomes hard to open, and makes a loud noise when you do shove it open to get in or out. So anyway I'll explain the layout and my weird experience. I love to game, so my computer is set up against the wall immediately in front of the door, and my bed is immediately to the other side of the doorway. So one day I'm playing with my online friends and out of the corner of my eye I see the curtain slide open from the top like pulled back 4 loops, and like I said I had like mild OCD where I had to leave it perfectly closed and the top loops perfectly spaced. So already I was internally sighing that I'd have to fix that. Next I heard my bed creak like someone sat down at the edge. Then I hear my sisters voice asking me what I'm doing. I respond, but don't look because we were in a very intense dungeon boss fight. So we're talking about random things, she's asking me about the game and stuff, then we finish the boss, and mid sentence I turn around, and see just a dark blur run out my room at an inhuman speed. I hear the footsteps creaking down the hall and a little giggle as it disappears. The footsteps stop once it reaches the kitchen. I'm kind of stunned, and step out and peak at the edge of the hall and no one is there. I then enter my sisters room which makes the super loud noise, and she's just laying down reading a book. I ask if she's been reading for awhile and she said yes. I ask if she heard running in the hall. And she's like yeah and like a laugh? Was that Jayce? (Our little brother) and I'm like no he's at school. And she's like that's so weird, but gives me a look because we both think the hallway is haunted but can't really do anything about it so we ignore it and she goes back to reading. I go back to my room, and I still see the curtain is pulled back where that thing opened it, and the bed is creased like someone sat down. I go back to playing my game, but open the curtain all the way and my sister comes in shortly after. It was super creepy. I didn't sense anything malicious from the thing, but I still don't understand that interaction. I should have been able to see it because I turned to face it in an instant and in that split second it was gone. Like literally just a quick shapeless shadow blurred passed me. Idk, even though it copied my sisters voice I don't think it's a mimic. I don't believe that creatures prime directive is to copy others. I just feel like it's one of it's skills.
My dog from my childhood was a cocker spaniel named Reggie, we got him when i was 8,and i took him with me when i got married. He passed away 2 yrs after i got married. He had always slept between my feet. Years after he was gone, i woke up feelings him spin & lay down between my feet. I felt scared for a moment untill i realized what the familiar feeling was. Its now been 27 years since hes been gone. I have felt him 6 times over the years. Ive had other experiences with other pets as well. Makes me happy to know they're still there!!
i had somethin like this happen. my dog loved bananas and now after she passed, i'll sometimes feel a wet nose nudging me for half of my banana. she used to do that. i don't have a dog anymore
My first dog always slept behind my legs or on my pillow and when I lay down on really cold nights, I'll either feel like something settles on the pillow around my head or presses it's back against my legs, and it's the exact same feeling as when my dog used to do it. She's been gone since 2014, so it's nice to feel her still around some nights.
I've felt footsteps on the bed from my cat who had went missing most nights for a good while. My dad told me later he had found her one day but I was so young he didn't want to tell me then.
Small edit about radium/the radium girls: the companies ABSOLUTELY knew how toxic their chemicals were but they really only cared to tell the men/scientists manufacturing the stuff to use protection. Shop level managers were never told which lead to many corner cuts and floor procedures that endangered the lives of the dial painters. There are several anecdotes about higher ups visiting the plants and trying to make procesure adjustments, but never explained that the chemicals were dangerous.
Yep. I came here to say this and you beat me to it. 😊 The men who worked at the watch factories with the radium girls wore protective gear and took all necessary precautions when handling the radium powder that was used to make the paint for the watch dials. They KNEW it was dangerous and they still told their female dial painters it was completely harmless, to put the ends of their paintbrushes in their mouths to "sharpen" their brushes back into a fine point, and they stood by and watched a lot of the girls paint their nails (etc) with the paint as well. In fact, when the first radium girls began falling ill, the companies' higher-ups issued statements that it was no fault of the workplace, but instead the women were "loose" and had contracted syphilis. It was truly vile.
The worst part is they didn't just die, they didn't just get sick, their jaws actually rotted off and multiple deaths occurred in the companies before it go any attention and they had to absolutely fight for it for themselves because no one stood up or believed them - they made a movie about it and it was really good at showing just how bad it was.
Haven’t seen a comment on it yet, but the mimic story that was saying “hey” and the sneezing? Do you guys realize how terrifyingly smart a mimic would be to copy that- they want a response. What do most of us automatically respond to without thinking? A sneeze. “Bless you/ gesundheit” that’s one way to get an easy response from people without them thinking about it
ngl, a mimic pretending to be your husband and kissing you sounds kinda freaky, like, homie what the heck? you can just say if you interested no need to pretend you're my loved one 😂
Broken or decaying props, animatronics, dolls, etc. always make me sad and not scared. Like I know a lot of them weren't built to last but those were people's hard work. That was someone's or a team of people's baby. :-(
Love the one about the Victorian era. Thanks for including it. We tend to romanticize past eras without realizing what life was actually like. Also, I really appreciate how you can "debunk" a video or channel but still give them props and enjoy them. I enjoy all types of horror/ paranormal content. As long as it's well done, I'm along for the ride.
I usually don't get scared unless it involves spiders but 21:16 was something that brought chills down my spine. Wtf it sounded like a pig trying to growl
35:15 yes, ma'am! My grandma set me up with passwords against stuff like that when I was little. For her and my parents and my brother. She was doing it more as a combat against Fae than mimicry, but she wasn't trying to have me taken off with by some oogie boogie. And the couple times I put the password protocol in play, she immediately interrogated me about my entire day. 😊❤
Don't know if you've heard of Salem Tovar here on YT but she talks about the cult she was in as well. Also, I personally am not really into horror but I watch your videos because of the enthusiasm that you have for it.
the maybe worst thing about the bbl surgery story is, that there are theories out there that anesthesia doesn't fully knock you out but makes you unable to remember any of what you experienced during surgery. It's not confirmed but this had been suggested. Think about that for just a second. Enough.
"During general anaesthesia, 1 in 10 people may be 'conscious' following intubation" by the university of Sydney. I woke up during surgery once, actually. I threw up and was put back under. Wasn't nice either 🤢
I could see tht cause my body remembers my open heart surgery like to the point of the knife entering my chest and I can feel its shape but I definitely don’t have a memory of tht. I also think I feel asleep naturally before actually being put to sleep cause it was early in the morning and I’m not a morning person
@@diamondgirllisai wonder the same or if the nausea was just that powerful? my boyfriend just got his appendix removed 2 mornings ago & his food/liquid intake cutoff was at 12am that same day, he said he felt so insanely nauseous after waking up that they had to give him anti-nausea
6:02 you can still find radium clocks in antique stores, on some the numbers are gradually being eaten away at by the radium paint and in others the covering of the watch face is now browned from years of heavy radiation exposure
Last year, when I was in 5th grade, we were learning about the Aztecs, Mayins, and Inca civilizations. My teacher showed us a picture of the Axtec death whistle and told us what it sounded like and found a video. We all were shocked because it sounded like a real scream. We all looked around and then the next day all of us were pretty tired because we didn't get much sleep.
1:00:35 my fur baby also visited me the first week after she passed. She was a little chihuahua and she used to jump on my bed in the middle of the night and cuddle between my legs. The first week after she passed I would feel this light pressure like little steps on my bed and felt a weight on my legs too. It stopped once we brought her ashes home. I believe she finally moved on and crossed the rainbow bridge once she was back home to me. Miss my little Bailey 🤍
OMG, when you mentioned your dog Riley, it immediately made me FEEL my sweet boy Riley that left us a little over a year ago. I miss him every day and I feel like you mentioning YOUR sweet dog, Riley, was my Riley's way of sending me a message that he's ok. ❤❤
One of the stories here reminded me of an experience of mine. I have sleep paralysis as part of my narcolepsy and I've heard horror stories both online and from my own dad about seeing things during sleep paralysis so when I started to wake up numb, unable to move, I did the smartest thing I could and never opened my eyes until I started being able to move and I always I knew none of it was real, just dreams. The voices and sounds I'd hear were just my dreams still playing in my mind as I slowly woke up. The feelings of being confused or disorientated were just my mind coming back to reality and shouldn't be confused for being watched or feeling like I'm not alone. I had never been scared... Until I opened my eyes. Mind you , I didn't choose to open my eyes. I'm smart than that. I KNEW I shouldn't. But one morning I woke up in paralysis and I didn't open my eyes like I always did when I hallucinated what sounded like someone saying "Hey" breathy and quiet right into my ear. My eyes popped open on their own...and I didn't see anything. Most of my vision was covered so I was focused on the small sliver of the room I could see waiting to see something. Then I blinked. And the THING that had been inches from my face disappeared in the time it take to blink. It had been a black mass that I thought was one of the many pillows I sleep with. So yeah, my sleep paralysis demon is apparently a cuddler :')
The animatronic video WASNT A HIT?! how??? Maybe it’s just me but I LOVED IT. It was especially good since it was during my obsessed phase of reading about amusement park accidents. That animatronic vid is one of my top re-watches for your channel(despite the fact I rewatch almost everything lmao)
The mimic section made me think of when I lived in Portland Oregon. I was 19, and was waiting on the Max platform downtown for the commuter train. There was a very attractive woman at the far end of the platform looking scared. I called out to her ans asked if she was okay. She looked away and started rummaging through her purse; I assumed for mace or a pistol. I approached slowly, talking calmly to her. I was trying to be a comfort. When I reached her, she jumped on me and wrapped her legs around my waist and stared me in the eyes, and said "Wait. You're not a mimic! I thought you were mimicking my old boyfriend!" She slowly slid to the ground and stood up. She handed me a photo of a guy built like me and dresses like me but didn't look like me. "I've been seeing him everywhere but if I try to look it in the face, he disappears." That freaked her out, so long story short, I spent the next two hours riding the train back and forth with her leaning against me, mostly with her head against my chest or head on my shoulders, trying to calm her down as we talked about hauntings and mimics... things that I could tell that she needed to talk about, but nobody would talk to her about. I try to help where I can.
whenever i see abandonned/rotting puppets/animatronics, all i think of is "another child star ruined by drugs" 😅 also as for the fear of mimics, i think the scariest thing about them is that, you dont know WHY they're mimicking? like, they could have completely innocent intentions, but they could also have the opposite of innocent intentions, you just have no idea what they want, and you also cant tell who is real and who isn't, one of my favorite short story about mimics was the one about astronauts dealing with one, where captain fernandez is asking you to let him in, but captain fernandez is sitting next to you inside telling you not to let the outside fernandez in, but in reality there was never a captain fernandez in the crew, its so short but its so good at explaining the concept? like, who do you even trust in that situation? who IS the mimic? is it all in your head? i think that's the true horror of it? the fact you cant trust your senses? cant trust anything? the simple paranoia of it is terrifying... omg the last tiktok, i love how they instinctively followed the rule of "if you hear/see anything, no you didnt" and started talking about movies instead the moment they both realized what was happening! that's so genuinely scary that they did that!
Holy crap....we have a mimic in our home! We live in an old Victorian house that was renovated into apartments. It's really old. I've always known something was here. Things dissappear, the dogs are always seeing things, and most recently, both my kids keep hearing my voice call them when I've said nothing. It's really starting to scare us.
Never gonna forget when I was getting a mental health assessment and bro was like, "What do you do to calm down and relax." I just went, "Watch horror movies and listen to creepy songs." He cracked up laughing and was like, "Wouldn't recommend that, whatever works work though." Horror is my comfort medium lol. Normies think we're all crazy but meh who cares.
I know so many teens (including me) who hung out in storm drains and played with the acoustics. Although my drains were in the mountains so there was a low likelihood of passerbys hearing us lol
Hi Loey Lane, I’m a really big fan. Sometimes if there’s a mimic mimicking your mom asking you to open the door, why can’t she js open the door? They also keep banging on the door asking to get in, just open the door mom! They will keep screaming to get in, often times mimics will mimic when you are home alone.
I had a mimic experience a couple months ago too, i sort of forgot to tell people about it but the memory is still very vivid. I'm in the living room, both my brother and my mom is upstairs. My dad literally just left for work on his motorcycle. I'm on my phone, watching tiktoks and laying on the couch. I have wired earphones on, that type thats cheap with zero noise cancelling. I hear my dad, outside, calling my name. My parents usually get mad at me when I cant hear them because of how loud my earphones are, so i immediately pull them off. I hear my name again then my brothers name. This happens like 3 or 4 more times, that whole time I'm already looking through the window and responding back. No sign of my dad, no sign of the motorcycle. I go upstairs to my mom and my brother, asking them if they called me. They said no. I asked them if they heard dad outside, also no. Nothing happened next, I just went back on the couch and back on my phone. Same month he got on a motorcycle accident, he's alright now.
This is such a good video!! I love the mimic videos theyre obviously set up but theyre so creepy to watch and the last few videos with the care taker same thing!! Its because it has that uncanny valley effect
If u slow it down, u can hear whispers better: 1:00:07 "YOUR SO BEAUTIFUL!" 1:00:10 "I LIKE YOUR HAIR" "YOUR HAIR IS BEAUTIFUL " 1:00:17 "I MISS U AND...I LOVE U" (*I'm a Medium who hears stuff like this all the time. If she doesn't know anyone who passed close to her, it could be another life's soul mate, waiting to meet up with her again, watching over her, missing her....who knows, but they are surely just complementing her the whole time) 1:01:14 "YOUR CAT IS PLAYING WITH YOUR FEET" *heard this and just wanted to throw it in there for her to know ❤️
Yea you’re right lmao I’m a CNA and if a healthcare worker were to post their patient it would be a violation of their privacy and you could get fired for it.
30:48 my parents used to test me like this as a kid. i did homeschool for two years and stayed home alone quite a bit when i wasnt at my grandparents or cousins house. they would go to work, lock the doors, and always had me check all the locks when i woke up. sometimes they’d come home on their break and start rattling the door knobs, ringing the bell, knocking on the door and front windows, and the back door. they would say to let them in, but i always knew they had a key. they said even if i see its them, call their cellphone to be sure nothings up. i would call them, then they would answer and unlock the doors with their keys. it scared me shitless and i didnt understand why they did that until i got older and realized how easy it is for someone to be taken hostage or for something to happen, and to always get clarification before opening any doors. be safe yall. teach your kids early.
don't know if anyone has posited this theory about the faces next to moon, but some modern phone cameras use AI to essentially enhance the moon in your photos and videos. now this is just a theory, but the last two videos shared could it be that the AI being used could be adding faces in the parts of the footage where "halo" light is coming off of the moon? like the moon gives off some light, could it be that camera is picking up the refractions and interpreting them as a face the closer you zoom in so when it enhances the moon, it tries to do so around the "face" it "sees" just my honest guess here, i'm no expert by any means, but it could be possible
@@Snail911 have you ever heard of the old tale of the man in the moon, i’m not sure of the exact details today, but it was of a man who like lived in the moon at some point and now his face is just like in it I’m not saying this is an explanation. I just thought it was a cool story to share.
That mimic one is so disturbing. Where it tries to sound like her mother and then it seems to get agitated and turns into this demonic angry voice banging on the door. I was worried it was going to knock the door down with that knock.
I had a weird what I think was a mimic story the other week. I live in the south east of England close to London so this sort of thing doesn't usually happen to people here but when it does we just grew up to never acknowledge it because that will make it worse. I live next to a woods, like I walk out of my front door, look to my right and its tree's lots of trees and to my left houses. we are a sort or urban/rural mix. every night you get your usual foxes screaming and animals going in and out of your garden they are the noises we are used to. But this night was just a night I don't think I'll forget. I remember this one time, I was in bed and I was really struggling to get to sleep, I had been trying for about 4 hours as I went to bed around 11pm, so it was about 3-3:30am, and my son woke up (we share a room and he is 4yrs old) crying saying that a spider was on him and it was scratching him. I've never heard him so terrified in my life. I'm the same as you if an animal or kids senses these things you better believe it. I have 3 kittens 1 adult cat and 2 adult rats as pets and this night they were all so restless, just like me. I decided it would be best if I just put my son in my bed and let him snuggle up to me, which calmed him down and he fell asleep. I'm still struggling to sleep myself but as I'm laying there, eyes closed, I start hearing footsteps outside my door, like running footsteps and it sounded like a child's steps. I just tried to ignore it but then my door opened and it came right up to me. I just kept my eyes closed and pretended I was asleep. Then it started talking in my sons voice and that's when I got really scared, and really pretended I was asleep because my son is in my bed with me, literally hugging me in that moment asleep. It started to say "mummy" over and over just like my son does and then goes "mummy come here, come with me. That's not me mummy I'm *My son's name* that's not **. I am." I could feel this weird like presence like this tingling sensation but also this feeling of a heavy weight just over my whole body. After that I actually managed to fall asleep and when I woke up my son woke up next to me and the first thing he said to me that morning was "thankyou mummy, thankyou for staying with me". I still do not know if this was a mimic or not but its the second scariest thing that has ever happened to me in my life.
Medical issues don't only happen in foreign countries. When I was 19, I went to an after hours critical care at a well-known American medical clinic. It was for an infection with a very high temperature. When I was there, I died. I woke up with a nurse hovering over me holding the paddles. I said "HEY!" And interrupted her starting to shout "Clear!" She freaked out, called the doctor over. While they were arguing about paperwork, I left. By then, the front desk was talking about the guy that died. They didn't know that the "dead guy" was signing out and grabbing a bus home.
Yeah, agreed. A friend of mine died when we were kids because hospital doctors misdiagnosed his chicken pox as sarcoidosis. His parents won a major malpractice suit, which was good, but what they really wanted was their son to still be alive. Another hospital in the same city nearly killed my father a few months ago by ignoring his medical records and cars requirements (amongst other things). (side note: I'm realizing that I may no longer be loey's target audience because I end up more annoyed than entertained by the video clips. It makes me sad, because I used to really enjoy these.)
What I find interesting with the circle thing is genuinely there’s a whole sect of people who’ve been driven literally insane by trying to draw the perfect circle. It’s like a cautionary tale based in reality
i have a few experiences with pet spirits. my family had to put our dog to sleep in august 2020. he would always lay up against my door, he was protective of me. before he died, id hear him brush up against my door as he was sitting down. even four years later, i still hear him brushing up against my door. earlier this year, my family’s bird died. he was old, around 35 i want to say. he would talk, but not complex sentences. he would always say “hello!” we would always drop seeds on the floor and whistle to music because we had a radio. sometimes we hear the sound of small objects dropping or whistling coming from the den.
I see my furry little buddies out of the corner of my eye playing in the backyard sometimes 🥰 makes me feel like they're close and keeping an eye on me and my family.
I have a ghost cat. It’s not every night but at least 2x a month I have a cat curl up by my feet and I find it comforting to be honest! I know it’s my little boy who died when he was just 1 from a bad heart. I like it ❤️🇦🇺
My uncle had a real mimic experience when he was a kid. It was his cousin asking him to go to a school building next door. Its a long story but he said it was night and his "cousin" was knocking on his window and being really insistent. Saying stuff like "Hey John! Cmon! Grandmas next door! Come to the game with me!". Theres a lot more details but you get the gist.
watching these mimic tiktoks makes me think back to the time like two years ago my ex and i were laying in bed in the dark (little bit of light from the tv) and i kept seeing things on the wall, then heard “samantha mae” and was like “did you hear that” HE DID NOT. i kept hearing it for days when hed be working and id be home alone 😢
The woman reaching out to touch the girl is so creepy. Reminds me of the character from "The Ring". That cabin looked totally disgusting. I don't blame them for sleeping in the car. I wouldn't sleep one night in that cabin. And that the boy told them his mom wasn't home after saying before that she was. Sounds like a landlady who doesn't like to take responsibility for her properties. Can't even give your guests a clean place to sleep. Yuck!
Hi Loey! I discovered your channel about 5 years ago. I really enjoy your content. I have a panic disorder so I can’t always watch dark topic content but I appreciate all your hard work and when I’m in a mindset to watch your content I’m never disappointed!
The one where her son is clearly not home because he’s at a sleepover was so scary I can’t even imagine, the fact that after she said aren’t you at a sleepover then the door started going crazy is terrifying 😭
Watching these made me realize I'm too confrontational for a mimic. You wanna bang on MY door and talk like that to me in MY house, oh we bout to have a problem. Then again, I used to be followed by stuff when I was younger but I ran it off by being just unbearable. I am more scared by real life now than the paranormal, I can handle that at least.
I love that people jumped to "werewolf" and not that maybe he's just a witch or something? Which... still WEIRD. But I could believe in a superstitious athlete
All the mimic stories reminded me of a experience I had a few years ago. My cat liked to go prowl around in our backyard. He’s too much of a scaredy to try escaping, so he was allowed to be unsupervised. My family must have had to leave or it was late, but whatever it was, I was tasked with making sure my cat was in. I head out and stand on the steps. He isn’t in the middle of the yard or by the table. I look down to my right to see an orange and white blur dart under the steps (his favorite hiding spot). Found him! Right? Nope. I jump down to grab him and he’s not there. I walk around the small backyard calling for him. No cat. I give up and head back inside and find my mum and tell her I couldn’t find him. She says “Oh, he’s right there.” And he was, looking all confused at me. So either my cat can teleport, it was my brain playing tricks, or something was having a laugh at me panicking slightly.
Oh Loey, hearing you tear up about fur babies and passed loved ones made me tear up too ❤ Their love is so real and powerful and they are always with us
Okay but how you not going to question why somebody is pushing you so hard into surgery that they're offering to pay for your flight your food your accommodations blah blah blah? You wouldn't find that suspicious at all? I'd rather save up money and get it done ( not that I would ever do that at all) a highly recommended, reputable American plastic surgeon. You won't EVER catch me going to another country for ANYTHING where I have to be under anesthesia or somebody's cutting ipen my body.
@Iwasnevermeanttobehere I would travel to a different state because I live in Alaska but definitely not like Turkey or somewhere where people seem to go missing and die constantly when they are just going for surgery. I especially wouldn't travel on somebody else's dime when they were SO pushy about me getting surgery through them and offering to pay for everything. That just sounds so suspicious, and how you would not even question what they were getting out of it is beyond me
I had this happen to me like 20 years ago. Years ago I was in the shower upstairs in my house and kept hearing my ex-husband calling me from downstairs. I was like why is he back home? I had to bring him to work every day because he didn’t have a license and brought him that morning. Heard him yelling for me and I was like WTF is he doing here. Then I thought WTF does he want, he knows I’m in the shower, he can just come in the bathroom and talk to me. So after a few minutes I got pissed, got out, put a towel on and went down stairs yelling WTF do you want? Well, no one was there. I called him and asked if he was just home and of course he said NO, I’m at work. What ever was calling me sounded EXACTLY like him. 😲
Our old lady cat passed in July in my arms of old age (she was 16 and healthy until the last 2 months but really the last 48 hours were hard to watch). The master bedroom was her domain. She loved being in her cat tree looking at the birds out the window. She's buried right outside that window actually. Anyway, at night I'll hear what sounds like her walking around in the bedroom and en suite bathroom. I swear I've also heard her eating her kibble or drinking water. She was always a self feeder except for her wet food. I've also felt what I can only describe as the feeling of her jumping on the bed and walking over to me. I never saw anything but I could feel her. Idk if that makes sense. It's not as often now as it was after she first passed but it's still happening. I miss that sweet girl so much. She was my work buddy since I work from home and the dog prefers his domain (living room, dining room, kitchen area). I do think they visit. We've lost 3 animals since 2020 but Harley is the only one I've actually felt and swear I've heard.
I have the same experience! We lost one of our kittens because of a heart problem, but she was the most protective and sweetest little cat. We lost her suddenly one night, due to a heart problem, and had to put her down at the emergency vet. After that, for weeks, my wife and I heard her toy being played with, with a bell, while we were in the same room. We have another cat, but she was fast asleep. Also the crunch of kibble and we both looked over at the same moment and saw there was no one at the food bowl. Again, other cat was asleep. There were so many things that we both heard, that we couldn't explain at all. I probably would have brushed them off if I was alone and chalked it up to my mind playing tricks (it seems like the only logical explanation in that circumstance) but the fact that we both heard and experienced it meant that we just couldn't explain it. We have her ashes and a photo of her but we haven't heard anything unexplainable for a while now. I think she might have "moved on", but it leaves a lot of questions about just what happens to them... and us...
My aunt. Is one of the SWEETEST people I know. Truly just a sweetheart, yet. She constantly has had issues with hauntings in her home, and she's moved many times. And ironically, she LOVES horror movies. Even after literally living IN haunted homes, where MULTIPLE family members including her OWN kids AND MYSELF experienced severe hauntings IN her home & her being openly afraid herself..... she still can't stop watching horror movies. And nothing changes. IS there a connection? Who knows. 🤷♀
35:35 Loey mimics scare us so much because no one engages them so we don't know what they are capable of. More often than not we are scared of the unknown. I'm a sensitive and I have twin guardian ghosts that protect me from stuff like mimics but I still fear the unknown. ❤❤❤
So are we not gonna talk about the whisper in Dustin’s video?!?! When he hears someone running up and down the hall, as he gets up to go check, right at 1:10:10 there’s a whisper that says something like, “you didn’t see me (or - you get to see me) watching you sleep!”
Someone posted an article saying that there's something wrong with ppl who relax by watching true crime. It's the same with horror movies...but imo...(I love horror & true crime) I enjoy them because A) there's that adrenaline rush... the "fear factor" But B) there's the conclusion. The bad guy is caught or ƙıľłėd. There's that sense of justice and relief at the end. I've seen a couple movies that end badly (bad guy wins or gets away) and they didn't even make him/her likeable or relatable. It just feels...unfinished. I'd say that ppl that enjoy those types of movies and shows are generally kind, empathetic ppl that like seeing the bad guy get what's coming. 🤷♀️ I mean... thats a major generalization but I think it's true in a lot of cases.
Yooo I loved the Zak Bagans museum!! Definitely my favorite stop on my Vegas trip this summer. I wouldn’t consider myself incredibly spiritually inclined, but there were definitely quite a few rooms in there where I felt just the nastiest, sickest feeling. The basement and the dybbuk box room felt the darkest imo, I was clutching my little bag of crystals like my life depended on it 😂

30:35 OMG YOU FINALLY SAW IT!! yay I tagged you in the video. I'm happy you saw it
I have a mimic story for you.
@@Loey I think you should do your research before you go under the knife in another country every country has its own standards
The crazy dissociation I got when she was talking about how dangerous the Victorian era was and it makes me wonder what they’ll say later about us. Like imagine someone saying:
“Yeah you wouldn’t have survived the early 2000s because they altered the food pyramid as a marketing scheme for breakfast cereal companies and caused an outbreak of health issues in America, they used synthetic food dyes linked to behavioral issues and cognitive disorders in children, known carcinogens as preservatives were in your food, perfume, makeup, and clothes…”
I thought the same thing! It's not fun lol
"they got their medical and health advice from something called a Tiktok"
I believe it was Bernadette Banner who talked in a livestream about this once, that people from modern era likes to always look at the negative sides of an older time period and say how awful it was living back then to feel better about themselves and what they got in their time period.
aye! don’t forget the plastic!

That little girl running from the long armed creep in the bushes doesn’t look terrified… she looks like she’s having the BEST TIME lol😂.

My deepest condolences to you and all her friends and family. That is absolutely awful what happened to her.
Yup some of them are SO obviously fake. It’s easy to recreate and guaranteed to get views which explains the boom of mimic tiktoks
@@danid8178 Hiding something, like stealing her organs....
My dad told me later he had found her one day but I was so young he didn't want to tell me then.
this is sad 😢
Personally I think the best horror is subtle. Like that babysitter's story at 16:00 .
Having that unknown is what is truly terrifying.
That one sounded a LOT like a couple casing the place. Which is scarier. 😮
The men who worked at the watch factories with the radium girls wore protective gear and took all necessary precautions when handling the radium powder that was used to make the paint for the watch dials.

A sneeze. “Bless you/ gesundheit” that’s one way to get an easy response from people without them thinking about it
Lol true. Good thing I stopped responding to people sneezing and just give them a look like " why?" 😒

the maybe worst thing about the bbl surgery story is, that there are theories out there that anesthesia doesn't fully knock you out but makes you unable to remember any of what you experienced during surgery.

Last year, when I was in 5th grade, we were learning about the Aztecs, Mayins, and Inca civilizations. We all looked around and then the next day all of us were pretty tired because we didn't get much sleep.

Are you for real? I can't 😅

Good on you.

also as for the fear of mimics, i think the scariest thing about them is that, you dont know WHY they're mimicking? like, they could have completely innocent intentions, but they could also have the opposite of innocent intentions, you just have no idea what they want, and you also cant tell who is real and who isn't, one of my favorite short story about mimics was the one about astronauts dealing with one, where captain fernandez is asking you to let him in, but captain fernandez is sitting next to you inside telling you not to let the outside fernandez in, but in reality there was never a captain fernandez in the crew, its so short but its so good at explaining the concept? like, who do you even trust in that situation? who IS the mimic? is it all in your head? i think that's the true horror of it? the fact you cant trust your senses? cant trust anything? the simple paranoia of it is terrifying...
omg the last tiktok, i love how they instinctively followed the rule of "if you hear/see anything, no you didnt" and started talking about movies instead the moment they both realized what was happening! that's so genuinely scary that they did that!

Because the doors are locked from inside, maybe?
@ that's smart, but if your mom/dad Is trying to get you to open the door ask one thing they know about you.
My friends don’t share in my spooky interests. I feel like I get to hangout with a spooky loving friend when I watch your videos. Love your content!

I used to hear a woman's voice in my house saying hello. I discovered it was my cat pooping. Gave her more wet food, all good now.
So it was just your cat saying "Help" 😂

don't know if anyone has posited this theory about the faces next to moon, but some modern phone cameras use AI to essentially enhance the moon in your photos and videos. now this is just a theory, but the last two videos shared could it be that the AI being used could be adding faces in the parts of the footage where "halo" light is coming off of the moon?
like the moon gives off some light, could it be that camera is picking up the refractions and interpreting them as a face the closer you zoom in so when it enhances the moon, it tries to do so around the "face" it "sees"
just my honest guess here, i'm no expert by any means, but it could be possible
@@dinojellycat oh wow!!! That sounds terrifying. 🫣 sending lots of love and hugs from SE London. ❤️❤️
21:56 that door being open freaked me the hell out, I immediately said out loud "close that fucking door, right now"

What I find interesting with the circle thing is genuinely there’s a whole sect of people who’ve been driven literally insane by trying to draw the perfect circle. It’s like a cautionary tale based in reality
how DARE youtube hide this for less than a minute. just kidding, love ya loey!!
i have a few experiences with pet spirits. my family had to put our dog to sleep in august 2020. he would always lay up against my door, he was protective of me. before he died, id hear him brush up against my door as he was sitting down. even four years later, i still hear him brushing up against my door. earlier this year, my family’s bird died. he was old, around 35 i want to say. he would talk, but not complex sentences. he would always say “hello!” we would always drop seeds on the floor and whistle to music because we had a radio. sometimes we hear the sound of small objects dropping or whistling coming from the den.
I see my furry little buddies out of the corner of my eye playing in the backyard sometimes 🥰 makes me feel like they're close and keeping an eye on me and my family.
Is watching this at 3am in the Appalachia a good idea? Nope. Am I gonna do it anyway? Yup.
I have a ghost cat. It’s not every night but at least 2x a month I have a cat curl up by my feet and I find it comforting to be honest! I know it’s my little boy who died when he was just 1 from a bad heart. I like it ❤️🇦🇺
20:41 - 21:09 oh helll nah I would literally burst out into tears!!!
AN HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES you spoil us loey
My uncle had a real mimic experience when he was a kid. It was his cousin asking him to go to a school building next door. Its a long story but he said it was night and his "cousin" was knocking on his window and being really insistent. Saying stuff like "Hey John! Cmon! Grandmas next door! Come to the game with me!". Theres a lot more details but you get the gist.
you are FEEDING us with content. an hour and 20 minutes? thank you
"Every single time that man slips into the back rooms!" 😂😂

Just here to say that I personally loved the animatronic video you made last year! It was so creepy and fascinating!
watching these mimic tiktoks makes me think back to the time like two years ago my ex and i were laying in bed in the dark (little bit of light from the tv) and i kept seeing things on the wall, then heard “samantha mae” and was like “did you hear that” HE DID NOT. i kept hearing it for days when hed be working and id be home alone 😢
Exactly! I had to pause and scroll in the comments for a bit cause the banging on the door was intense
I have some musician friends that like to play music in the "Sewers" they call it sewer jams. It actually sounds pretty amazing.
I love that people jumped to "werewolf" and not that maybe he's just a witch or something? Which... still WEIRD. But I could believe in a superstitious athlete
I had to look up what this athlete looks like, and!!! Omg just look at his photos 😳 something definitely is happening

I would definitely travel for surgery, but the place she went to sounds sketchy. I'm sorry she died, but DANG did that woman ignore some red flags!!!
Sometimes, gusts of wind moving through covered pathways, like sewers, can sound like singing.
I thought that could be the case!

It's the same with horror movies...but imo...(I love horror & true crime) I enjoy them because A) there's that adrenaline rush... the "fear factor"
But B) there's the conclusion.
I mean... thats a major generalization but I think it's true in a lot of cases.
