I’ve made this same criticism many times in the past and always receive shit for it, but you’re absolutely spot on with this. I say this as someone who has been producing since 2009 and we only used vinyl records/sp303 or Mpc’s. I’m not gatekeeping but just looping everything isn’t fun or groundbreaking.
