- Today's video highlights the importance of seeing the correct way to now build tanks in patch 18.3! Forget the old builds and what you used to like, on this latest patch you need to still have kill-pressure and the ability to deal damage whilst building Tank-ier items, and then having the option to pivot to more Tank items after.

Probably just go elafrost, fist of razuul then frostguard, then whatever the team needs, like flux matrix, etc.

Tanks are not good. Saying opposite based on a match like this one is kinda silly. With the way top ADCs are, facts are facts. Tanks have been nerfed too hard.
I think the real issue are the ADC and bruiser items. They're too good. Right now there are only 2 real roles that matter on the game and that the ADC and bruisers. Everyone else is just struggling to keep up. The next closest are mages but you're talking about a very few that are viable due to long-range poke and mobility
Tanks are still completely playable, just played incorrectly or built incorrectly. You just cant waste gold on the wrong Items as a tank anymore, so spending it on the right items is much more important to counter-build more efficiently. That, and also just mindlessly walking out of position or just being caught will just lead to you probably dying more than before, which a lot of people are having issues with.
Sure, they're not as good as they were - but they're also better if you want to go for more damage now on them. So there's some ups & downs depending what play-style you enjoy. Also this match literally showcases the fact that if you go damage earlier it feels better, and that I figured a way to go that, and then pivot in your later items, so yeah that's why the video is titled that way.
@@Empti_ I agree on going damage into tanks atm. But in real game situations where you don't just walk in like a noob and where everyone is playing decent, a "tank" is melted way to fast. No matter what you build. If ADC builds meta its gg. And it's hard to build ADC wrong nowadays
@@surfer777 Right! Lol. Carries use the same 3-4 items, with almost NO deviation. It's stupid proof, or just stupid in general. It's not as bad, but it's the same for junglers/off-lane. They have a wider variety but they typically build the same items, game after game after game.
I play Greystone in jungle almost exclusively and usually am the top player in any match I play. You have to focus on damage and health to be tank now. Tank items aren't great right now, so health is a solid alternative to more tanky items.
Bro, you went 5 and 5 and were running from most 1 v 1's. If not for your jungler helping you early game and the rest of the team cleaning up the kills when you stunned everyone this steel build gets smoked.
It's like I died to secure a 3rd raptor, or as a tank should dying to give leads to your actual damage dealers? Or how I went 5-5 and I still topped the damage chart on my team? I never understand how some people lack the general understanding of what happened.

Setting up kills for your team has always been the game plan for Steel even before tanks were considered weak. Like no shit it wouldn't go well if the team wasn't there to capitalize on his plays that's like saying popping off with an adc doesn't prove that the role is strong because your team was there to peel for you the whole game.
