You can accomplish lots of heavy tasks with this knife. Even with the coating, it is high carbon steel, so just wipe it down with the included wax/oil before putting it away.
How much does that thing weigh? I mean I don't think my full size kukri from Tora Blades is as heavy as that monstrosity, and the price is just insane.
I’m a huge sucker for larger knives, and have more kukris and machetes and camp knives than most, but this is special. Beautiful hand work, and love the sheath which is very practical. Definite Winkler vibes on the handle as well, and as someone with large hands this looks perfect. I’ll add it to my list, and subscribe as well, thanks! Hopefully I can get one soon. I’d love to get a copy of that knife steel list as well! I have an online reference at two sites, but that’s very handy. I’ll check out your store. 👍
I hope you can add this one to your collection. It is very well made and the handle is perfect for large hands. We have permission for use for the steel chart but not for distribution. You should consider picking up the book that contains the chart. It should be in every knife nerd's library. You can search for "Dr. Larrin Thomas Knife Engineering" and find options to purchase.
"Winkler vibe on the handle." Josh used to work at Winkler before branching out to do his own thing. Lots of former Winkler employees are making really great knives. Check out RL Scott knives a well!
Knife Weight: 1.56 lbs (25 oz). I feel like overall weight is lighter than expected and it is front heavy. I see it as a benefit of this blade for chopping and batoning.
I don't like it. I LOVE it! Thank you for the presentation.
How do you mount this blade vertically to carry?
Like the look of this knife. I have other blades in 80CRV2, the coating on it should help. Good stuff though.

That is a knife to kill a bear. Maybe a Lion. But definitely a hyena.
If I had to challenge any of the three, not sure of success, but this is the knife I would have to make the attempt!

It is a full 20 ounces. It is nicely balanced so it handles pretty well for a blade of this size.

@@MastGeneralStoreKnifeShop I'll do that, thanks for the reference!
His handle work also reminds me a lot of Jason Knight’s work also! Josh Morgan makes a killer knife!

They had me sold at 8670 steel (the strongest steel known to man).
I must buy this.
The rustic and antiquey vibes emanating from this are incredible! That's an attractive piece.
