I wanted that rifle, but because they are so hard to come buy, ended up with a Ross R95 Trapper in 30-30... have the Skinner rail/peep sight on it and a Leupold 2-7x33 w/ QD rings... best of all worlds
Yeah 3030 is super expensive. I when I bought my 3030 I stocked up a bunco for it because I thought it was going to disappear like it did during covid. I spent way too much money and I kind of regret it but I should be good on my hunting rounds for a long time.
@@rodbengtson5058 did a trade for an 1894 sbl, but they cost about the same so you could say 2300 Canadian dollars. (CDN isn't worth much these days thanks to our idiot prime minister).
The video is definitely a great one.. and the rifle is superb.. definitely a looker! I'd take one of those.. even though I don't necessarily need one! Nothing wrong with constructive criticism.. cause it was annoying and I couldn't believe that I was hearing what seemed to be a lot! However.. I've worked with all kinds.. and heard worse 😮

@@walth5336 Rossi makes good rifles! That's a great setup! Very similar to what I want to do!

Very beautiful💪🔥
Could you measure the height over bore of those irons? Wondering about clearing a can. Thanks!
Only issue would be a lower FPS,due to the shorter barrel, shorter burn time.
@@geraldlowe2652 not really an issue. In 3030 you lose about 20fps per inch of barrel loss.
Why do they call it the trapper?
It's compact and easy to carry. Historically trappers would cut down barrels to make rifles shorter and easier to carry.
how much did you pay for it?
