    I just did some searching and what I see gives me a much better feeling than I get with some other upstart consumer unit vendors.
    They aren't trying to hide behind a generic unsearchable name.
    Their website actually has data sheets for their products (though they are rather brief).
    The officers and persons with significant control have names that sound British.
    They claim to be commercial associates of the ECA and this is confirmed on the ECA site (though it took a bit of finding, it seems the regular search on the ECA site doesn't find commerical associates).

      Thank you mate. I try and get away with mounting them like that where I can, it’s my favourite way for tidiness and easy off access for future new circuits etc.

      @@stevethomas5849 I completely agree, and it doesn’t take much to make it neat, it doesn’t even have to be extremely neat imo, I always do things in the mindset of how I’d like to find them on an EICR myself.

    • @JayG2K
      @JayG2K ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Cablesmith i see you could use the trunking to cover the required knockout holes. would the holes still need to be sealed with instrument even though the trunking cover will cover any voids.

    • @Cablesmith
      @Cablesmith  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JayG2K that one seems to be open to personal preference. As far as I’m aware as long as it’s on a non combustible wall there’s no requirement to seal it. I’m not even sure if you “have” to no matter where it’s mounted but I personally do or don’t depending on the location of the board and if I think it’s a risk or not. Sealing it makes it awkward for adding more circuits after also so it’s a balancing act imo

      You see what I mean😂😂😂😂, It’s another great channel if your into cars and boats.
      I fitted a contactum RCBO board the other day and that was a really nice board to install.

      @@mikewilkinson7802 yep it’s almost Identical the sign off 😂 at first I was thinking, “nah hes way more energetic than me” then he goes PEACE 😂
      yea I watch all kinds of things like that, gonna check it out.
      Contactum boards are well built and a great board, it’s just the earth flylead that stops me, I hate them now I’ve not had to use them for years 😩

      I’ve just fitted the board for the first time and the SPD was next to the main isolator so the fly lead worked fine.
      To be fair your not the only channel I watch has the same sign off. @Goonsquad have used it many a time as well.😉😂

      @@mikewilkinson7802 yep the SPD being on the end is a first for me too, I did think about moving it to the start but then it would have budged the main switch over rendering the tails clamp useless 🙄

    Where are your gloves? *Never* touch bus bars or conductor ends - in case. Get into good safe habits.

      I agree I should stay in the safe habits. On this occasion tho the tails were just hanging below the board not yet connected.

    • @Cablesmith
      @Cablesmith  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      But of course I shouldn’t do things like that especially for the world to watch and copy 🤦🏻‍♂️
