      I need to do the same thing this weekend. What kind of saw blade did you use? Fine tooth or what?

    • @belaad
      @belaad 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@abplusfive fine tooth. I think it had 80 teeth.

      @@belaad Thanks. I ended up using 40 teeth and it came out fine.

    Thank you. Your teaching style works well for my learning style. Great to have a tutorial in metric so I can listen without needing to recalculate imperial measurements. New subscriber 🙂

    Also,for extra confidence,you should make a start cut of a few millimeters and remove saw to check the actual width.Better to adjust at beginning than be 1 or 2 mm out.

    Would this process change if the MDF board to rip is 12' long? I'm a little worried about the board "wobbling" between the sawhorses?

    I’ve never used these kind of machines before and have no experience of curing wood. Am I gonna be ok if I buy a machine like this to cute 3mm MDF round boards? Or what’s the best way to have it? Thanks a lot :)

    hi how do you bring back the swolen wood? I have a piano and one of the leg is swolen due to heavy moisture. Would it be working to soak it on the hot water and then clamped to its shape for some time?

    Or just buy a festoon track saw.

      I am going to build a couple square boxes out of engineered wood, or more aptly put... shit material. It's a weekend project, I should go to the big city and get an 800.00 track saw to cut a flat piece in a straight line. Sounds legit. Do you use a cnc to locate your #30 pilot holes ? Just fucking with ya, I wish I could jam some nicer equipment into my shop. $$$$

    • @RCPoliComm
      @RCPoliComm 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      $600 for a festool track saw. $40 for a decent circular saw. Yeah, no difference there at all.
      If money were no object, yes, everyone would buy a festool track saw.
