    2:14 This woman in red shirt, she's my grandmother, she was 41 years old here. Sadly, she has died 10 years ago. That woman next to grandmother is her daughter, so my mother. She's still alive and live in Kyiv! And that man, staying next to grandmother was her husband Pjotr, so my grandfather. He has been an army general and fought in WWII. He has died 20 years ago. Grandma has worked for SSR Committee in Moscow and mother studied the university in Moscow.

    We miss our Soviet homeland very much, in a country where the class of workers was above all else. we believed in a bright future. and we had everything we needed for life. Of course, we were a bit behind America in that we had less developed household appliances, but they were. there were problems with buying a personal car, but they were enough. food products were very tasty and without chemical additives. we had a very highly developed industry.

      Actually during soviet time there was such thing as a "parade-holiday uniform" style. When you got out to a some public event you was supposed to wear some smart cloth instead of everyday. And for many people it was some kind of suit which stays in the cupboard for most part of the year. An if you put the special suit on a couple times a year it's natural that they would be often quite old so old fashioned.

      MCS 26 “It was a complete failure that brought nothing but famine and misery to once great nations.”
      You do know that the USSR turned one of the poorest agricultural nations whose citizens lived in poverty and still had feudalism up until the 19th century into a global superpower that had the 2nd fastest growing economy of the world, the life expectancy doubled, the USSR also had zero homelessness, zero unemployment, free healthcare, education, housing, 99% literacy rate, it unlike what you think ended famines (which occurred every couple of decades or so in the Russian Empire which according to you was once a “great” nation), fun fact the USSR in the early 1980s was 25 years away from reaching parity with the West.

    • @whatever7645
      @whatever7645 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      MCS 26 So let me get this straight you are blaming the USSR for the horrible economy of post-USSR Russia (that had and still has a capitalist economy)? The life expectancy was lower than that of average European countries, however keep in mind how backwards the Russian Empire was in the beginning of the 20th century. Also, the hell is a complete failure to you? What is defined as a complete failure? To launch the first man and satellite into space? To turn a nation of uneducated peasants into an economic and military superpower with one of the highest literacy rate in the world? In the beginning of 1980 it’s GDP was second to USA. Is it a failure to have free healthcare and housing? “I would rather live self isolated in Greenland than in a mass murdering dictatorship that constantly found itself in war with superior nations”
      Are you aware what constant war even means? It would mean literally being in a war every now and then, actually that reminds me of some country, that is always at war and is always invading other countries... oh yeah the USA.

    • @whatever7645
      @whatever7645 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      MCS 26 Since USA is regarded as some sort of “freedom utopia xddd”, you do realize that the Russian Empire as a whole also included Belarus and Ukraine meaning those countries were included when counting the fact the Russian Empire has a literacy rate of 28%.
      “The new system of universal compulsory education was established for children. Millions of illiterate adult people all over the country, including residents of small towns and villages, were enrolled in special literacy schools. Komsomol members and Young Pioneer detachments played an important role in the education of illiterate people in villages. In the Azerbaijan Soviet Socialist Republic, the women's literacy campaign was largely carried out by members of the Ali Bayramov Club, a women's organization founded by Azeri Bolshevik women in Baku in 1920. The most active phase of likbez lasted until 1939. In 1926, the literacy rate was 56.6 percent of the population. By 1937, according to census data, the literacy rate was 86% for men and 65% for women, making a total literacy rate of 75%.”
      I am certain that education was literally made free during the Stalin era.
      “There were more inventions by the Russian Empire in the last years of its existence than made throughout the entire 69 years of the USSR”
      *Inventions of the USSR:* (the list is so long I had to put it into a separate comment)
      “Plus weren’t most of those school basically children gulags schools where kids were sent off if they were caught stealing and robbing which was very high wasn’t it. Tell me why was crime rate so high even with children during the USSR if it was such a utopia like you claim it was.”
      This statement is wrong on so many levels that it practically shows the only research you did was some cold war propaganda story. Firstly the crime in the USSR like in any country did exist, but was low, “According to Western experts, robberies, homicide and other violent crimes were less prevalent in the Soviet Union because the Soviet Union had a larger police force, strict gun controls, and had a low occurrence of drug abuse.”
      Crime did increase in the 1980s because of Gorbachev, however it was present in the 1920s and 1930s

    I'm from Paraguay. My country was rulled by a Militarty Junta from 1940 to 1993, and even after that, a Right-Wing Party ruled the country from 1993 to 2008, and they retook power in 2013 after 4 years of a Left-Wing presidency. But... for some unexplainable reason, the paraguayan aesthetic is almost the same that soviet aesthetic. Ironic.

    (Да, я знаю, что Советский Союз в это время находился в ревизионистком вырождении. Коммунистическая партия превратилась из священной организация рабочего класса в мелкобуржуазную и хрущевскую ревизионисткую клику после того что по сути было их партийным переворотом.)

      At least socialist nations managed to provide the basic needs for their citizens, them bear necessities! Capitalism struggles to do that! Socialist nations also had strong militaries to protect the stronghold of the revolution and its achievements! Good healthcare, education, and free, etc! Democracy inside the workplace and out-democracy for the working class.
