A lake 2 meters deep? I had to watch that part twice to see if I misunderstood. That is 6 feet deep and little more than a beaver pond. Water that shallow would not be murky at that depth at all if a diver went down. The thing looked quite similar to the wing V rocket. The explosion heard would be the sound barrier breaking. A lake 2 meters deep? I had to watch that part twice to see if I misunderstood. That is 6 feet deep and little more than a beaver pond. Water that shallow would not be murky at that depth at all if a diver went down. The thing looked quite similar to the wing V rocket. The explosion heard would be the sound barrier breaking. Question is could those primitive rockets reach 600 miles per hour?

The drawings at 7:21 resemble WW II style fuel drop tanks. These were often made of paper. A lake would be a good place to drop them safely, and the story seems to indicate a lot of aircraft activity at the time.
