My vice principal, Marcy Cawthorn, made me a custom Nirvana CD for Christmas in 7th grade, and this is Track no. 10 on that CD. I always thought this song was called "No Recess" so I used my SoundHound app and found out the actual title for this song was called "School". She was the best secret Santa ever! Thanks Mrs. Cawthorn one million times over!

But I think the lyrics of "School" can be interpreted as an adult's life working at a dead-beat job (mainly corporate/office jobs); you have no end in sight and higher-ups tell you what to believe, what to feel, what to do. The same way they do in schools.
