I believe on a two wire system the neutral switch completes ground - it has a hot side relative to ground but it's not a true 12+, because if it were, and you shorted it to ground there would be fireworks.
Doc, you need to do some video's with the issues the New SportsterS has been having. The 2021-22 Models were a mess of problems, you should discuss some of the remedies that have been done.

In my case on 1999 FLHTCUI a bulb was a half way out (don't ask me why). So if the lamp isn't on, after you short connect it with tweezers, check the bulb also.
I like it, especially if your bike color is unique. The speedo/Tach offers background lighting colors. The Tach function helps in diagnosing we’re an issue occurs at what RPM too….Doc

thanks , so the led ligth has 2 wires , 1 goes to the ignition switch ( + ) the other 1 goes to the neutral switch ( - ) ? this is how i have it set up ! does not work , when I pull off the wire from the neutral switch and ground it the ligth works ,tested and used 3 new switches ! What you mean ignition switch light side ? please help...

Same on my 04 ultra but the switch is different with the Baker DD-6 Rev. transmission. One is a close switch and the other is an open switch.

I just tap the gear lever towards the frame with the inside of my footand the lught engages. You can feel when the bike is in neutral though.

Power from ignition switch ( lights side) to one side of LED. Ground going to neutral switch.
