For those who haven't played SF3 and wonder why Shadow is an antagonist in this game, this is the story explanation (I recommend you to play SF3 it's a disaster how I've seen tons of people asking mindless questions, calling this game bullshit without even playing to understand its actual story):
• After all the events in SF2, Shadow and May started a happy life and together, they had an unborn child - the Descendant of Shadow, but everything changed after May was infected by a strange disease. From May's illness, Shadow found out that the baby brought along a sentient entity of pure shadow energy, known as the Shadow Mind. May accidentally brought this entity from the Gates of Shadows in the ending of SF2 into the human world without even knowing, since then Shadow Mind has formed a special bond with her child. Shadow considered it to be evil and needed to be destroyed because May was gradually suffering from its infection, and also because of all the people, he was the only one to have had his soul and body corrupted by this shadow energy so he knew exactly how it felt way back in the previous game. So on that fathful night which they called "Night of the Scourge", Shadow attacked his wife, who was bearing the Descendant under her heart, in an attempt to exterminate Shadow Mind. Shadow Mind then fought back to protect May and its Descendant, raising hundreds of shadow beasts from beneath the ground. Those beasts also killed and possessed many people who lived near that area. Shadow slaughtered them all but accidentally, he killed his wife in process.
• Blinded by grief and hatred, Shadow refused to accept the truth that he was the one killing the person he loved most with his own hands, instead blaming the Descendant and Shadow Mind. Holding May's breathless body in his arms, Shadow vowed to destroy the Shadow Mind, but all he could do was separating the entity from the baby and sealed it into the Sphere, he also hated his own child so much that if ever met him again, Shadow would kill him instantly. Shadow then started his journey to eliminate every trace of shadow energy in this world, that was when he met that little girl in the video, Moira. She also lost her homeland in Night of the Scourge and she was infected by the same shadow disease that May had called "the Scourge". It granted her the ability to control and communicate with shadow energy itself but also bound her to an eternal suffering and she couldn't grow up. She was saved by Shadow, he was like a father-figure to Moira.
• Many years have passed, every attempt made by Shadow in order to destroy Shadow Mind and to cure Moira were all failed. Until one day, while visiting May's grave to mourn her, Shadow spotted and detained a mysterious Stranger who had previously been suspiciously loitering around May's grave. The Stranger confessed to be a scientist from the future, then he pointed to May's grave, which was juicing with shadow energy, and said it was actually a portal through time and he used it to travel to this world. The Stranger after knowing about the past story of Shadow, revealed that with the power of Shadow Mind, it could destroy the current world and create a new one. When Shadow heard that, he lost interest in destroying Shadow Mind, he had a new goal of creating a new world where his wife May was still alive and well. And we all know what happened next: Shadow traveled to the future through May's grave, literally eliminated anyone who stand in his way and built an Accelerator machine to recreate the world from scratch, he also took Moira with him to fulfill the plan because she is the only one can command the voice of shadows.
• Meanwhile in the present time, Shadow Mind has been freed from the Sphere and tries to reunite with its other half - the Shadow's Descendant, who happened to be The player, later succeeded at the end of Chapter 6. Together they have merged and travel to the future to stop their father, which is the battle with Shadow in this video. But eventually Shadow still got what he wished for: The whole world gets eliminated in shadow energy, killing everyone in it, including the player. The only thing remains is Shadow Mind, he suffers because the Descendant is gone, but then that Stranger appeared again, guiding the Shadow Mind to travel back in time to increase the player's strength in order to overcome Shadow from the beginning.
And so we thought we have to fight Shadow one more time to prevent the world's destruction, but it's not that simple folks. The player has actually been used as a pawn the whole time in a sinister scheme without even knowing it. Here is the real twist, brace yourselves:

• The true antagonist of this game is Shadow and May's unborn son, the original Shadow's Descendant. Thought to have died after being separated from the Shadow Mind, the Descendant was saved by his own mother's spirit, May's spirit. May did what any mother would do: She brought the baby to the Shadow World (the dimension on the other side of the Gates of Shadows) to save his life no matter how slim the chances were. In this dimension, the Descendant could exist, but only a small probability of his own existence (you can say he doesn't have a real physical body or some sort like that, he just exists beyond time). The player is just one of his billion copies due to his countless time travels, which means everytime he makes a time jump to a different world/timeline, the flow of time itself creates a clone. And each clone's victory is also his, all the clones makes the original one stronger day by day until the rule of time bow down to his will. This also explains why the player started the game with no backstory or even a memory at all, our character just sort of...appeared - THAT was when the original Descendant performed a time jump and created us, we're just his clones, we fight just to make the original Descendant stronger. He is the mastermind behind the conflict between 3 factions in the game, he is THAT mysterious Stranger who purposely reveal the secret of Shadow Mind's power to Shadow so he could destroy the world with shadow energy in the first place. The original Descendant wants to change his own fate: He wants to exist, he wants to become a real being, a real person. And to achieve that, the Descendant's ultimate plan is to open the Gates of Shadows in every world/timeline in order to find his way home where he once grew up: the Shadow World.
The original Shadow's Descendant's backstory is kinda a tragedy though... There's a high chance that we're going to witness the real ending of this game in 2022 (Idk the exact date lol) and meet the original Shadow's Descendant face to face, he's gonna be the real final boss of Shadow Fight 3 and I'm so hyped for it :)
In conclusion:
• Shadow is not a villain, he's just a broken man that lost his wife, blinded by sorrow and hatred. But his wife's death and why his son becomes like that are all his faults tbh, he's just too stubborn to admit that. Now Shadow has realized his mistake and tries to correct it by helping the player stop his son before he brings all worlds to their end.
• As for the original Shadow's Descendant (aka the Stranger), he's not technically a villain either. His father hates him just because he was born, because he is the son of a legend. Shadow accused him of being responsible for his mother's death, Shadow rejected him as his son when he was born. That's why the Descendant bears a huge grudge towards his father, dude just wants to exist...

Damn man i remember my 8 year old self running to the computer to play shadow fight 1 on Facebook, too bad it no longer is available. I don't remember much but there were a limited amount of weapons that you needed to pay loads of gems for.

@@Mahmood_56 I think they should have let sf1 be as it was . Players would eventually go to sf2 for more content anyways but some players (like me, I play sf2 more than sf3 or sf arena) decide to stick with one game of the franchise. So that would be devastating to those players.

The first round is the easiest but from second they start using magic and range weapons. The key to win is to not give them few seconds of break just attacking till you win.

@@AuraaXD have you even played? Just because graphics are not always shadow doesn't mean its not a shadow fight game. If you actually played it then you'll realize shadow fight 3 is more shadow game than sf2. Sf2 is like the basic 2% of the plot, aka the pilot episode. Shadow fight 3 is both the infinity war and endgame.
