Could listen to him all day, most of us have no idea how anything works or functions around us everyday, if only people like him had some input into the educational system we might have a better balance of skills coming out of school and colleges. David’s reaction to women throwing axes 😂
I thought I would try to answer the question! Trees often grow better on hills for a number of reasons related to soil drainage, sunlight, and microclimate conditions: Better Drainage: Hills typically have better drainage than flat areas because water flows downhill, preventing waterlogging. This helps trees avoid root rot and promotes healthier root systems. Different area would have different issues Increased Sunlight: Trees on hillsides may receive more sunlight, especially on slopes facing the sun. This increased exposure can lead to better photosynthesis and overall growth. Wind Protection and Air Circulation: Hills can create unique wind patterns and air circulation, which can help trees by reducing the risk of frost and allowing more efficient gas exchange for respiration. Nutrient Runoff: Water flowing down hillsides can carry nutrients to the roots of trees, enriching the soil, although in some cases it can also lead to soil erosion. Microclimate: Hills can create small variations in temperature, moisture, and humidity that may benefit trees in particular environments. These factors combined can make hills advantageous for tree growth, depending on the species and specific environmental conditions.
