Mistral (L9013) is an amphibious assault ship, a type of helicopter carrier, of the French Navy. She is the fourth vessel to bear the name, and is the lead ship of the Mistral-class amphibious assault ships.

You forgot 1 important point: the Mistral is the only ship in french Marine that is using "pods" and not a helix. That makes the ship extremely manoeuvrable.
The high profile of this ship is really amazing: I took a picture at maybe 3 kilometers, even at this distance it looks gigantic

@N.W. Jonkhart well, they are planning for a naval LCH and I expect atleast a prototype of it by 2023. Also the current Indo-Chineese standoff would Catapult Delhi to Buy more Useful platforms like LHDs...
Video is wrong: Mistral class cannot operate fixed-wing aircraft because its deck cannot survive to the weight and overall the heat generated by jets and at the same way it is impossible to fit a ski-jump.
if you want to know what is the real european challenge to the american Wasp and America class you must see the Italian Navy Trieste class, a 35k tons beast which can accomodate a F35 protected powerful projecton force everywhere in the world, armed with missiles and guns.
Does anyone know how many F 35 B can mistral or Juan Carlos class can operate?
None. They would need to have to rework the deck because of F35B exhaust

@@georgepantazis141 the F35B is much bigger than the Harrier, 50% bigger! It has a F135 engine with a single massive jet exhaust w. The Harrier did not need to produce that much power and had 4 smaller nozzles to spread the heat over a larger area.
So the F35 produces a lot of heat with its rear exhaust and it destroys landing decks. The decks need to be reworked to withstand the punishment, otherwise you will melt a hole in your deck.
It's not impossibe to do, it just costs money and time.

well they are actually building 2 right now in Zaliv shipyard in crimea, about 30,000 tons in displacement and 20m longer called project 23900 ivan rogov
A few tips if you want to increase your views and subscriptions:
1) Don't hesitate to put a more attractive or even "clickbait" title, this is very important! For example "This is why the US are jealous of this amphibious assault ship" you want people to stop scrolling and check your video, so don't put technical stuff in your title, make it simple eye-catching.
Same thing for the thumbnail of the video, make sure it's eye-catching and match your title.
2) Don't put anything related to your paypal or patreon at the top of the description... People don't come to your video page to become a Patreon and this is kinda rude to "ask for money" right from the beginning of the description, so put all those stuff at the bottom of the description.
3) Remove that of your description "Thank you very much. Best regards Dung Tran." you are not writing an email or a letter, again, it doesn't look pro, you should behave like a brand.
4) You should find a name related to your niche for your youtube channel, instead of your real full name.
5) The sequence where you ask people to subscribe (at the end of the video) you should find an animation sequence for that, this is easy to find on the web.
6) Don't put your face in place of the channel's logo, find a logo for your channel, if you put your face it doesn't look pro/serious.
7) your paypal url contains "/dungtransport", it doesn't seem related to the channel / pro. You also have "dungtranmilitary" for the Patreon, same issue, find a name for the channel, don't put your real name in it, and use it everywhere, like a brand.
8) Your video is not divided, we can't "breath" , divide it in multiple sections, put a black screen with a title at the beginning of each part or something like that.
9) the "Wiki" in the name of your site is not that great, people don't really want to go to a "wiki", you probably mean that the site talks about military stuff but by adding "wiki" many ppl will imagine something like wikipedia, so they won't go to your site...
You should find a unique name, like a brand, and use it everywhere, you site, your youtube channel etc.

The Wasp class is much larger in every way and an average Marine air wing of 28 Helos, MV-22 and AV-8B or F-35B and 1,800+ Marines !!

@@Saitou263 I was in the Marines in the 24th MEU so we deployed on these Wasp class LHDs, in a ARG (Amphibious Ready Group). But The Nimitz and now Ford class CVNs are for CBG Carrier Battle Groups but or course I've seen them many time in my yrs of service . Thanks for posting.

Allegedly, Russia is building a similar ship. Turkey is finishing building his version of the ship of this type.
