    Excellent! Another great video posted here by Mark.Wow, what a pro his bro Shawn Frankl is! Both of these guys know what they're talking about, and I'm all ears. There's more to the notion that there's actually a science to bench press than meets the eye.

    Strong af!
    I wish they had all this training gear when I was young, wrist wraps, elbow raps, slingshot.
    The best I got to was 350 lbs with pause.
    If I had these tools, how much more would they have given me?
    How many more pounds added to my bench?
    I always wanted 405 lbs, but never got there.

    • @Justin203845

      You absolutely have to pull it down. The shirt is basically a giant rubber band so you have to row it to get it to stretch

    • @aidanorcuttpowerlifting6854
      @aidanorcuttpowerlifting6854 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. You have to pull the bar down because the shirt doesn’t have much flex.

    • @Justin203845
      @Justin203845 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Soranneohulk 225 yes. A shirt adds a shit ton. 400 lb benchers can bench 700 in a multiply shirt

    • @aidanorcuttpowerlifting6854
      @aidanorcuttpowerlifting6854 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The shirt adds more if you’re really good at using it. People shit on equipped lifting but it’s a mixture of technical skill and strengthening

    • @eriknilsen897
      @eriknilsen897 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I'm a raw guy now, but I used to use a shirt. It's not magic. Nobody throws a shirt on and goes from 400 to 700. Most guys don't even manage a single successful lift that would pass in competition the first time they put on a shirt. It's a damn torture device that you learn to use and train to get stronger in rather than a magical device that makes you shit rainbows and fart out an extra 300lbs on the bench lol

    • @kimzandre1110
      @kimzandre1110 6 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@roby4625 well that depends more on bodyweight rather then height. But most on your dedication in the gym. Look at the world record holder in the bench press. He's 6 ft 6 and benches 738 lbs. I see taller guys always using the height excuse when in comes to lifting. "I'm this tall so I cant bench that much weight". "That guy only lifts more than me because he's shorter". Stop making excuses and start getting in the work.

    • @jshash4071
      @jshash4071 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    • @kimzandre1110
      @kimzandre1110 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jshash4071 he doesnt bench 2.5 times his bodyweight, but if he dropped some pounds he could easily do it. But then he wouldnt be a world record holder. Yes, I do get what he is saying. Smaller guys bench more because of shorter arms ect.. But to me it sounds like a bunch of excuses. People should respect athletes like this no matter height or weight. I guarantee you that 99% of people writing these kinds of comments arent even close to the people theyre hating on in strenght. And in some cases dont even lift them selves.
