I love this movie I once was a 16 yo heartbroken guy living in the past and never danced before. One day this beautiful girl from school asked me to be her partner for a dance event, she told me she needed one that looked like me. I was tall and a bit athletic, short hair, you could say your average good looking high school boy, but shy. I hestitated, since I never danced before, I told her about that but she said that is no problem, she will teach me, so I gave it a shot. We met to train for some weeks, maybe months, but it felt like years to me, since I remember every moment of it. She was very gentle and told me every step after another. I grew ambitious about it, and we ended up lengthen the training sessions, when everyone was already leaving and the dance floor was empty. Eventually I fell in love with dancing, maybe - I fell in love with her aswell. On the big day I was a bit nervous, but after the performance she said everyone came to her and said her and me were the show's best couple. Afterwards we used to go out for some time, watch fireworks, sunbath at the beach, take walks in her area, or I came to visit her dance performances. But nothing serious ever happened after a while we lost touch, and she had some trouble's at home, I saw her cry at school once and she slowly left highschool prematurely. When I saw her tears fall, I wished they'd never fall again - but in the end I was just a lost young highschool boy who hadn't life figured out yet, there was nothing I could do. Today I don't know where she is - or what she does. Sometimes I wonder what would have happened I had taken the chances. This movie very reminded me of her, of our story, it all fits .. except the happy end. Whatever she does today, I hope she's happy and still dancing :) the music fits the video very well, thank you for this.

I remember being in 8th grade when I first head After Dark, I was severely depressed (treatment resistant) constantly in and out of the hospital for months due to being suicidal. I remember my mum driving me to the hospital late at night around 2am ish sometimes later in the night and on our way to the hospital I always played After Dark in the car, it helped me calm down and ease my thoughts before going into the chaos filled hospital to be met with my thoughts again. Every time I hear this song it reminds me how far I’ve come and the nights I never thought I’d get through, I’m still here standing strong. If anyone is going through similar, just know you will make it out alive. I know it’s not easy and it feels impossible but you will get through it. Everyday you are making progress even if you don’t feel like you are.

I remember being in 8th grade when I first head After Dark, I was severely depressed (treatment resistant) constantly in and out of the hospital for months due to being suicidal. I remember my mum driving me to the hospital late at night around 2am ish sometimes later in the night and on our way to the hospital I always played After Dark in the car, it helped me calm down and ease my thoughts before going into the chaos filled hospital to be met with my thoughts again. Every time I hear this song it reminds me how far I’ve come and the nights I never thought I’d get through, I’m still here standing strong. If anyone is going through similar, just know you will make it out alive. I know it’s not easy and it feels impossible but you will get through it. Everyday you are making progress even if you don’t feel like you are.
