Dont forget the fact that there was a mini reunion for Seattle last night... of players that all may have not liked Russ. Marshawn, Doug Baldwin, Sherman, Sydney Rice, KJ Wright.. All there. Sherm and Marshawn were also helping out at practice last week, because they feel like they can walk into the building again.
Oh wow! No way? I either live under a rock in the upper Midwest, or the Seahawks did a fine job burying that story. This is the first I've heard about that many people who didn't care for him. Also how deep those feelings were.
Thank you! You guys are the first national people to give Seattle any respect. Russ should have been picked off by Diggs on one scoring drive. Football is a team sport, not a one man show!
I grew in the Seattle area, and I'll tell you that when he was Captaining our team, especially in the early Legion of Boom days, there was a very special energy towards those players. Russell was a part of that, but his ego seems developed to the point that he believes he's better than everyone in the arena, including the 12th man. I really liked seeing the original Legion of Boom back in the building. I hope some of them come back as coaches or advisors for our new line-up. Go 'Hawks!
He's not the player he used to be either. He used to be explosive running the ball. He used to make guys look bad trying to tackle him. Remember when he ran through the entire Arizona Cardinals team on Thursday night? That Russell is gone. I was a huge Russell Wilson fan from all the way back to college. This isn't the same guy. That guy was fun to watch. This guy isn't.
@@Jordan-Ramses Russ has always been a big play machine, which is fun to watch, but I don't think you win football by paying guys this much unless they are guaranteed a top 3, year after year type player. He has rarely looked like a top 3 player, let alone year after year, but yeah, if he was my QB, fun as hell to watch. The LOB was a legit generational side of the ball. If you look in 20 year spans there are 2-3 really ridiculous teams or offences/defences and they were one. Not sure Russ has proved he can be the difference.
I don't understand why anyone thought Wilson would get a warm welcome in Seattle. It's not the same as when Brady left or Manning left their teams. Wilson forced his way out of Seattle he didn't want to be there so the fans booed him. How is that so hard to understand? How is that surprising?
Because if you follow the game you’d know that the Seahawks already tried to trade him 4 years ago and that broke the relationship. Imagine having to play for someone actively shopping you. It became toxic and he asked out. Y’all think the best QB in your teams history just wanted to leave?
@@Chipdipism I do follow the game. If you actually lived out here and paid attention to the daily goings on you'd know how much of a primadonna he became. They ALMOST traded him for the number one pick in the draft, and ultimately didn't, boo hoo. The Packers ALMOST traded Aaron Rodgers, and all he did was go win an MVP. The franchise picked Wilson over their ALL-WORLD defense, was that not enough? Or how about the big contract? Wilson became more about his image and brand, wanted weapons (because Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf aren't apparently) and threw his OLine under the bus, despite most of the sacks on Wilson tend to be from him not seeing over the OLine and holding the ball.
@@bigkrutherford notice when all that started happening? After they tried to trade him. When he was all y’all had. Your organization did all of that and for the fans to take their side shows how disillusioned you are as a fan base. Y’all chose a 71 year old head coach with a mid ranked defense over a hall of fame QB. He was all that kept y’all relevant since LOB ended and y’all booed him. Enjoy mediocre football for the years to come
Bobby Wagner will get a standing ovation when he returns to Seattle. But Bobby did not throw his O-Line under the bus. He did not say that in Denver, he doesn't have to worry about having to carrying the team , he did not name 4 teams he would go to and he did not put his house up for sale before the trade ink was dry.
Imagine blaming Russ for stating the obvious That line was absolute garbage Russ being hit more than any other QB in the league and they're hurt cuz he just states the obvious? Lmao Seattle is about to be terrible
Bro… I love that the Pat McAFee Show has nfl highlights in the videos now… I completely missed this football game but I feel like I can count on my favorite sports show to keep me updated
People forget that the Seahawks also had a rivalry with the broncos when they were in the afc. So russ going to Denver is the same as him going to San Francisco. At least for the old school fans
100% this. Not to mention Seattle fans have been burned so many times (A-Rod, and OKC to name a few) it’s not that surprising that leaving the way Russ did left Seattle fans feeling burned once again.
@@APBRadial Ah yes, letting go of your two best players is the best way to keep a bandwagon fanbase. If you're gonna try to talk trash to all of us, use insults that weren't most relevant in 2017.

Indy = respectable fan base NE = respectable fan base Cheeseheads = …. Seattle has a poverty fan base, imagine booing the only reason your team has ever succeeded.
What?!? Yes, Wilson did ask to leave, but he was forced to due to a clear lack of support in beefing up the O-line and lack of involvement in O schemes, something that all 10+ year veteran QBs have earned and received. He had been quietly asking for these two simple things for years and it only came out once he got tired and asked to leave. Had he stayed, his career would have been shortened by 5 years bc he got hit so damn much.
The return games are all about the mental mind games. The tribute to Peyton in Indy when he came back was to get him out of his dialed in I’m gonna smoke your team mindset. He had to take off his helmet wave and smile to the crowd, and connect with the fan base again before killing em. “Legacy” is important to Russell. So before he came out to the field the Seahawks organization paid tribute to Russell’s old teammates. Some of whom probably leaked that stuff to the press. Then after those guys get cheered Russ has to trot out and get showered with boos. That was mental mind game genius
@@Goldenblade14 how do you get an o line when Russ is taking all the money? All these old faces coming through the Seahawks facility just shows to me, Russ was the problem. He only cared about his stats.
You gotta remember Pat, Peyton got cut in Indy. Tom left in free agency after taking paycuts through 2 HoF decades. Russ demanded a trade after 1 losing season his whole career. It’s different in Seattle, it’s personal for those fans.
Lmao look at Geno sub par QB doing fantastic in this system. I wish nothing but the worst for Russ. Let’s remember Russ was benched in college for Mike Glennon. Let that sink in.
I think the beef between Seattle and Wilson is that for years since 2017 really, it would be constant news headlines of "RUMORS FROM WILSON'S CAMP he wants out of Seattle, he wants this, he wants that, etc" the team 3 stuff frustrated us and wore us out. I honestly felt so much better when he got traded because that rumored drama was over. We aren't burdened with Wilson consequences and we aren't burdened with expectations.
It goes as far back as when he was a rookie really, Go read ANY news story from Wilsons first three years or so... Players hated him in the locker room and some even called him soft and said his fakeness brought down the locker room. Some other more radical people (Sherman) even went as far as to exclaim that Wilson wasn't "black enough" to be a part of the Seahawks. It has all since been lost to time and was not pushed by the media because the controversial things that were said about Wilson but it was DEFINTELY a thing.

I couldn’t agree more, and I always felt his “holier than thou” act just really doesn’t work when all the while he’s pouting and begging to get paid 35+ million dollars a year and get treated like a king. You can’t have both Russ.
People booed Russ because he turned heel to the Seattle fans. He was this humble kid who was "just happy to be here" and as his legacy grew he became kind of a Diva, who complained his way out of town.
So you are saying he was the baby face and then he turned heel on the fans? When you put it like that it's hard to keep saying those fans that booed him were disrespectiful.

As a Seattle fan it brings back memories of how A-Rod acted to us back in the day. When he enters the ring of honor of if he decides to retire here we will cheer for him, until then he is the enemy. Go Hawks!
I disagree. A-rod left way early in his career, whereas Russell did so much for the city. His prime years may be dwindling I can completely sympathize with his decision to be honest.
@@recondolaidy-slayer8468 you know you have nothing to rebuttal with so you talk cheap shot at politics that nobody in their right mind actually care about
Are we just not gonna talk about the two incompletions that should've been easy interceptions? Lotta people like to point out that those two fumbles were freak plays and shouldn't be held against the Broncos but no one wants to mention that Russ still has a habit of trying to force feed throws where they shouldn't go.
Interesting take by people that us booing someone that actively wanted to leave would affect future signings. Hawks don't play guys injured, they make sure everyone gets paid, the culture in the building is fun and allows players to be themselves, and the fans go nuts for you when you're on the team.
Y’all tried to actively shop him for the first overall pick. Your organization ruined the relationship. Enjoy the win this week. Your franchise is about to go into poverty
There’s a big difference in Russ and his return vs all the others. Russ literally just caused turmoil his last several years in Seattle. Yo-yo’d constantly about if he was gonna be around or not. He commanded huge contracts and then bitched about the team. Then ultimately he CHOSE to leave. Most of these other people were chased out of town or moved. There is a real animosity between the fans and Russ now.

As many have said below, as a Seahawks fan, I still wish Russell Wilson well and I hope he torches the AFC. That being said, he's a Bronco now and anytime he faces my Seahawks he's the enemy and will be treated as such.
Gotta remember. Seahawks were all about D & RB. But when it was time to choose between russ and the defense. Public opinion forced Seattle to choose russ.. Russ took up ALL our cap. (Preventing Pete from playing how he’s always done since coming into the league).
Pete was a nobody (in the pros) before Russ and will be a nobody after Russ. This is true of all egomaniac coaches who think they're bigger than their star qbs. Coaches don't make qbs. Qbs make coaches. Every time. Just ask "genius" Belichik how life is after Tom.
BBQBOI nope that's bs fans were loyal to Russell Wilson they begged the Seahawks to get him a O Line but if this was Tom Brady in new England yall would defend him
@@darnellwilliams8783 comparing Tom to Russell is way different. Tom took pay cuts left and right to make sure they could afford players that’s why they have all those super bowl wins. The Hawks suck this year, so they might not win another game! But that was the best crowd in 5 years and a fun game with an absolutely hilarious result.
The Colts gave up on Manning. The Pats gave up on Brady. The Hawks coddled fragile Russ his entire career. He then became a diva, used the media to feed the drama, and orchestrated a trade. Huge difference. He went too far. F him.
@@kingrodney441 Nobody but the front offices of the Hawks and Browns would know how hard they “tried.” If they’d traded Wilson back in 2018, the fan base would’ve turned on the front office.

Al lol how fast yall change narrative is for now yall against Russell Wilson he didn't abandoned nothing for years yall talked a bnb it how bad the O line was its obvious Seattle is the bitter ex mad that Russell moved on
The O-line was bad because they couldn't afford anything after Wilson tied up all the money and kept wanting more but also wanted an O line the Seahawks couldn't afford. Wilson is a great player but also was holding the team back. They won the superbowl on his rookie contract I believe where they had money to use. Not to mention Beast Mode and LoB. Go back and watch that season, it wasn't Russ that carried them to the ring. Seems a lot of people forget these things
You nailed it when you said Russ thinks he's better than you. That is what he thinks. He can say all the right stuff to the media, but he said he wanted to be a seahawk for his entire career and then forced his way out. Why would the city root for him?
As a Seahawk fan since the early 2000's... I think there's a lot of us who saw Russ's demeanor subtly change over his tenure with the Seahawks. At some point, he evolved from lovable underdog to an insufferable douchebag a.k.a Mr. Unlimited. I'm sad to see his talent go elsewhere, but I'm grateful that we don't have to back up his weird antics any longer.
Born and raised Seahawks fan since 76. Wilson's personality is as fake as Pamela Andersons boobs. Good player who benefited from having a great coach, historic defence and bad ass running back when he came to the team. He seems to have forgotten all this. I work right across the street from Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle. There were so many Broncos fans and they were the most obnoxious creatures, with their stupid orange jerseys that said Wilson with its stupid 3. They forgot what city they were in. And you guys make it seem like we think Russ is responsible for what made this team special the last ten years. We cheered for him when he played for us and we’ll cheer when they put his jersey in the rafters. But he’s not gonna come in here and act like we owe him one. Go hawks
The point of having fans at sporting event (or any event) is for the cheers AND BOOS. It's odd that overtime, athletes seem to forget, the fans are not there as their personal confidence booster. They cheer when they want to cheer, and boo when they want to. There is no situation where it's not okay for the fans to boo.
Russ forced his way out of town. That's why he got booed. Look at A-Rod for the Mariners. Same deal. He went for the power and the bag. He deserved every boo he got.
Hackett lost the Broncos this game and i was laughing wen I saw how salty he was at the end calling those petty timeouts 😂 Russ really left the Seahawks cuz they wouldn’t give the ball and the Broncos are doing the same thing lmaoo
It was Hackett's 1st game, he definitely over thought things all night. He will settle in & over come it! If he had just kicked 1 of those FGs at the 1 they would've won.
I agree to an extent but they moved the ball all night long, but his players also failed him. Fumbling twice at the inch line isn’t on the coach, that’s on the players

That's how it should be, especially when it was the players decision to leave! In europe/soccer this is taken very seriously. Prepare your a** to get bood... Until you retire or you come back you are playing for the freaking enemies team! When you retire you will get all the love back you earned and deserved. And I think that's beautiful

Hollyruss put in some good years for sure, but lets not forget the two SB we got to and the one we one was all D since we had the #1 D for like 4 years straight. The D single handedly beat the greatest offense in the history of the NFL. The next year he threw like 5 picks in the NFC championship and it took a miracle and some poor dude sacrificing his career for the Hawks to get the W. After that, the D disbanded, we paid Russ and never sniffed the NFC Championship game. So ya, we booed that hollywood pre-maddona clown. Good luck Broncos lol.
The difference between Wilson and guys like Manning or Brady is that as the years went on it became harder and harder to believe Wilson. It became harder to actually believe he was a Seahawk rather than a Team #3. Manning and Brady not only earned the respect of their previous teams, but they weren't fake, or come off as fake. Wilson has been nothing but cliche phrases in everything he says. It feels like he is less about winning as a team, and more about making ESPN highlight plays, and building the Wilson name. I would say when so many Seahawks legends who played with Wilson seem to have a distain for the guy.......it kind of validates the 12's booing. Wilson didn't leave with a desire to stay. He wanted to leave. He wants to be a celebrity QB, and that's fine. But being a celebrity QB doesn't necessarily win championships, and it more than likely breeds a self centered ego. Something I think Wilson might have now. Last night Wilson got to play the kind of ball he wanted Seattle to let him play: lots of passing and less running. The guy ran one time for 2 yards!!! He wants to be a pocket passer and he's not one. I digress. With all that said, I believe in the long run, the Seahawks made the right choice, and the 12's had every right to boo like they did. Go Hawks!
It doesn’t matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning is winning. As a Seahawks fan it’s hard to listen to these pundits say we are one of the worst teams in the league, when we got better at every position except 1, QB. Bwags is amazing but Jordan Brooks has shown, it’s his time now. We couldn’t have done that without the Russ trade. Russ wanted out, he was too good, he was a better head coach than PC and a better GM than JS. He wanted a team that would let him cook. He wants to chase that MVP, he wants to call the plays and have personal decisions, because he knows better. Bye Felicia
Seahawks are definitely one of the worst teams in the league. They were lucky to win that game. Bronco's killed themselves with 100+ penalty yards and bad clock management/decisions at the end of the game. I will give props to Geno for playing well the first half. He looked better then I have ever seen him for those two quarters. The Seahawks D two stands on the goal line for turn overs was great as well. That said realistically they aren't going anywhere this season.

He's a self-promoter (own-jersey-wearing, "Let's Ride!") who wanted to get paid to the moon and the stars despite being undersized and slowing and aging and the team steadily going downhill - who was then fondled and adulated by the media for four months straight as the missing piece to Denver's Superbowl-ready (sic.) team. Witness the way that Seattle Mariners fans responded to Wilson's kindred spirit, Alex Rodriguez, who left in free agency to the Rangers for a bazillion dollars over ten years - he was booed lustily for every plate appearance for the rest of his career so far as I am aware. Compare and contrast to Ken Griffey Jr., Randy Johnson, and Ichiro, who remained loved and respected. So "Let's Ride!" Russ got the Payrod treatment at the league orchestrated MNF return to Seattle - as expected. And he will get similar going forward. Then watch, by way of contrast, how Bobby Wagner is treated next time he comes home.

The crazy thing about the offense for that was that it was the first game where the entire starting offense was together. I completely forgot about that until today and it could very easily be a good or bad year for the Seahawks but it will definitely be interesting to watch.
I got no problem with them booing. They have a reputation to uphold of being one of those crowds that makes it a long day for the visitors. Im sure they still love him, but he’s the away qb now… so BOOOOOOO!!!
This right here is exactly what I've been saying since I started seeing people complain about the booing. It's football last time I checked. And the 12s at home in Lumen Field are one of the most intense and loud game day environments you can face in the NFL. They can literally affect the game with how loud they get, and you saw an example of that last night with the Broncos not being able to communicate at times and racing with the play clock to get the snap off on time. And people think they shouldn't boo? Cmon now. As a lifelong Seahawks fan, Russ was amazing for most of the 10 years he was in Seattle, and he will go down as arguably the best QB in Seahawks history, on and off the field. He was a pillar of the Community and probably still is with everything he's done for the city. I'll always clap for Wilson and wish him the best of luck, except on game day! After the game it's all GG's and handshakes. That's just called being competitive
So much Russ hate and discrediting from Hawks fans right after he leaves the team because they couldn’t build around him. Never seen this kinda betrayal from a fan base to one of the goats of the organization.

I’m a Broncos fan. Initially, I thought the 12’s showed a lack of class by booing him. But over the past few days I keep reading the same stories about how he was on his way out so now it makes sense……and has me a tad bit worried. Winning a ring with Russ isn’t the sure thing I once thought it was
From a Hawks fan… who’s watched every single game of his for 10 years, if it was a ‘sure thing’ with him, Pete/John would have paid him and kept him. He has some big time limitations, and his ego is a bit out of control.
Russ was a part of the team that brought them their first super bowl. Russ was the big reason why they were winning games and being competitive the past 5 years.
Russ was the reason we never got back to the Super Bowl tbh. As soon as he became immobile the last few seasons he became a medicore qb with only a deep ball. He can't see over the o line and is only effective off the play action for that reason. The fact he wanted to be a pocket passer was the whole issue because he never can be based on his physical size
As a Seahawks fan it isn't just that he left. I guarantee you Bobby Wagner won't be getting that same reception later this season. We love Russ and we're grateful for what he did here, but he spent 2 years trying to manufacture a trade out of Seattle. Then the comments he made before the game about "carrying" the team really put it over the top. Go on Twitter and see what a lot of former Seahawks were saying during and after the game. Sherman, Baldwin, Marshawn, and KJ have all been hanging around the team every since Russell Wilson got traded. That's not a coincidence.
I honestly lost respect for Russell at the time of his last contract, was it two years a go? I said to myself - myself, why isn’t he like Tom Brady? Don’t take all that money. If you want better linemen give up some of that to make a better team just like the Patriots. That’s when I notice that he was all talk and it was all about himself. So I’m not surprised at all that he was booed so hard last Monday. He actually deserved it.
I’m pretty sure all the fans just hate how he exited. Kept saying he wanted to be a Seahawks for life (which he clearly didn’t) which in turn made a lot of the fan base think it was the head office just shipping him off. Cause I seriously doubt they would have gotten rid of Wilson unless Wilson wanted out. I really think Wilson and Carroll’s handshake at centre field was telling cause Carroll barely looked Wilson in the eyes
I always thought New England's response to Bradys return was a class act example. When Brady first entered he was cheered and appreciated for his contributions. As soon as kickoff happened and he took the field, they booed the hell out of him. Seattle should've least acknowledged what Russ did do for that city.
@@Dukes3677 who are the real sissies here? You guys are complaining about a game. Seattle fans are loyal to Seattle, it doesn't matter what Russ did for us when he is our opponent. He will get acknowledged when he retires.
Wasn't disrespectful he deserves it. I spent the better part of 10 years defending his ass. He mailed it in last season per guys on the team. Last night was the russ we have seen for the last 2 seasons. We weren't surprised. He had a no trade clause and didn't use it. Sherm and the boys warned us years ago. We didn't listen. Yall heard how we really feel that's all. Team over player and Russ forgot that.

@@semionjohnson1351 what do you expect dude?! The fans to cheer for the opposing team. Get a grip. Plus the Broncos are an old rival of Seahawks. Why would they cheer for the team to come out. That wouldn’t make no sense. Not like a preseason game. And not like he’s on the Seahawks team. Your there to woot for your team not the team your playing against. That would be stupid.
I live in Washington and am surrounded by Seattle fans (who drive me nuts because they watch their team but couldn't tell you another players name on another team because they watch nothing else lol) but rumor is Seattle has softly shopped Russ for years and have never given him his due respect so realistically if anyone should be pissed here it's Russ!
If we could go back, we would release Russ after that Super Bowl loss and we would have chose the Legion of Boom, defense, and running game. Things would have been better, guarantee it.
Guys we boo'd him because he was the opponent today. We still love him, today was just not the day. When he gets inducted to the HOF, we'll be cheering the loudest out of anyone in the league for him.

@@semionjohnson1351 that’s also very true, those guys were something else to watch! Very fortunate we got the right mix at the right time & got to see them get to 2 Super Bowls.
It’s simply because Russ acts like hes a God. Dude acts like he’s this humble moral giant, then turns around and acts like we should be kissing his feet for the time he’s spent here. Don’t get me wrong, Russ is great and he played a major role in Seattles success the last 10 years. But he’s not the only one that brought us a SB. He had one of the greatest defenses to ever play the game and a legendary running back behind him. Say what you want about Pete and Schneider, but you can’t argue that they’re not competent. Russ shows up and demands more say and influence, they hire an OC of his choosing, they draft DK. Russ roasts the OL, even though half of those sacks are on him for extending plays too long, not stepping up in the pocket, not hitting receivers down the middle of the field and trying to be the main character and force things. He wants to let “himself cook”. The problem is letting Russ cook without a killer defense or stellar backfield didn’t work. He refused to fit the scheme of the team. Football success rides on team cohesiveness and success not a single QB with a God complex. Russ will tell you over and over through corny quotes that he plays for the team or he plays for God but his attitude and history doesn’t back it up. Mix all that with demanding his way out while lying about it in public, the obnoxious let’s ride garbage, his backhanded statements after he left and the corny one liners and you have a pretty good reason to get roasted your entire time coming back to Seattle. Not to mention what the mini reunion of all the players coming back as soon as Russ leaves and the pettiness of former players tells us. Russ is big on optics and image. He presents himself as “the guy” but he doesn’t back it up in action and fans picked up on it. Seattle was Seattle because of Russ… but Russ was Russ because of Seattle.
Also you’ve been hearing for the last three years or whatever that Russell’s Broad was not happy in Seattle Washington. She wanted to be in a more of a major city ie NY/LA So I think that started to create issues w him and Seattle.
@@christinanapier829 yeah his ex wife was a bit of an interesting woman though. I met her and Russ when he stayed at a hotel I worked at in Raleigh. At the time ironically every thought Denver was going to draft him. But his ex seemed sweet and she treated staff well. As did Russ. But I guess they couldn't get along.
Big difference is that Indy released Peyton so they could draft Luck. Seattle was kinda "forced" to trade Russell and Seattle isn't headed in a new direction with a #1 pick QB.
Congrats to the Hawks. They played their butt off but I also feel this was probably their peak. Don't see them being able to repeat this performance again.
As a Seahawks fan, I’ll always love and respect Russell for what he did for the franchise. Furthermore, once his career is over there will be nothing but praise from me. But while he’s still in the league, on an opposing team, playing us…he’s going to get that sort of reception.

People have been blaming Pete Carrol for the boos. No. They don't know how Seattle fans are built. Why are they so fanatical? Because it's not a business relationship between the players and the fans. That's the job of the front office. On the field, in the stadium, out in the community, that's a relationship. That's personal. Some relationships don't work out because life (aka business) gets in the way. But sometimes they leave because someone else looks too good to pass up. And this isn't a football thing in Seattle. Griffey left to be closer to his family. That's a good reason to leave. Ichiro left towards the end of a contract to go to a team who had a chance to win a World Series. That's fair. Both were welcomed back with open arms. Alex Rodriguez left for money. He was booed the rest of his career in Seattle. Bobby Wagner will be welcomed back with open arms. He didn't leave, he was cut. But Russ said he loved Seattle, said he never wanted to leave, said it was his home, but then told us all there were four other teams he would be willing to leave them for. He had a no-trade clause, he couldn't be kicked to the curb. He had to walk willingly out that door to greener pastures, and that's what he chose to do. And he did so with a goodbye to the fans who loved and embraced him and supported him that didn't even fill a whole Tweet. Seattle fans never forget being played like that.
As a Seahawks fan it seems like yeh majority of us appreciate Russ and will always be grateful for his greatness and what he did for the team and the community, however, the trade leaks and all of the things that he said prior to the trade is what left a bitter taste. He never really shows how he really feels he’s always neutral and in a lot of cases that’s good, but late in the season, telling us he wants to stay and win here just to up and leave bc he wants a better situation. That’s why he got booed, Russ likely won’t play in Seattle again in his career, but when he eventually returns he’ll get the love and appreciation that he deserves.
I have all the love in the world for Russ. He brought us some of the best years of Seahawk football. That being said, it's our job as 12's to get in the other teams head and that's exactly what we did last night. It doesn't mean we hate him, we are just doing our part to help our team win.
That’s cap Seattle fans are so fake y’all never appreciated Russ and yall made that very clear on Monday im glad he left that trash ass city Seattle has the worst fans in sports
I think what did not help the situation is that one ESPN article being released days before the game. I feel like if that wasn't released, he would def received more cheers. The article was a really good deep dive into the history from like 2017 to now and worth a read but it definetely made me think that both seattle and russell handle the situation badly. Another major L in my opinion was that Wilson took less money from broncos and stated he "wanted to give Patton cap to work with" but at seattle he wanted Number 1 QB money.
Russ was our quarterback when we won our 1st super bowl. He did not win it for us. Our defense and marshawn lynch won our 1st super bowl. The next season, russ throws 4 picks in the nfc championship, to have our special teams and defense bail him out. Then in the super bowl, he gets what he wants. The ball on the goal line to win the super bowl. Throws a pick. Our defense time and again for 5-7 years, bailed russ out, and kept things manageable so that russ could win on a last second drive. But i cant recall a time, if there was any, when russell wilson actually single handedly kept the hawks alive in a game due to his play. Russell wilson is overrated. He is selfish. He is self richous. He is a distraction. I am forever grateful for his efforts in helping the hawks win their first super bowl. For the pick he threw on the goal line, and for the distraction he had been his last 3 years in seattle... i dont even wanna see him in the seahawks ring of honor. He is a bigger let down than the last 2 seasons of game of thrones.
Crazy how fast the crowd turns on you if you aren’t on their team anymore no matter how much success you’ve had with them. Not a fan of either of these teams but I respect the players and their game. Especially russel Wilson, I love watching him play bc he’s just a great player. Also I’m very happy for ole Geno smith ballin out last night. I live near Morgantown, West Virginia, so I watched him a lot during his college career back in the day. Hell I also watched Pat here as well but I was only like 12 when Pat played for WVU lol. I, in a weird spot bc I’m directly in the middle of WVU and Pitt so everyone here is mixed on their favorite team and the other week now that the backyard brawl is back it got pretty hectic at the bar during the game hahaha. I live in waynesburg, PA just fyi not that anyones ever heard of it.

@@crisantechris well, he acted like a puppy and saw the D-line stacking on the line but still went for a middle run like his RB is Marshawn Lynch and not a guy who barely 220 pounds for the first play. then the second one he sees the same look again and went for the same play but with another lighter RB facing a stacked D-line AGAIN. multiple conversions done right with screen plays but he didn't even call for it while everyone is stacked behind the line and the left is wide open for it. so, you can blame the coach as always but don't tell me that Wilson is an elite QB when he can't even alert the call or call for a freaking timeout when needed instead of relying on a 1st year head coach.
Dont forget the fact that there was a mini reunion for Seattle last night... of players that all may have not liked Russ. Marshawn, Doug Baldwin, Sherman, Sydney Rice, KJ Wright.. All there.
The franchise picked Wilson over their ALL-WORLD defense, was that not enough? Or how about the big contract? The O-line was bad because they couldn't afford anything after Wilson tied up all the money and kept wanting more but also wanted an O line the Seahawks couldn't afford.

Russ was a part of the team that brought them their first super bowl.
Russ was the big reason why they were winning games and being competitive the past 5 years.
Rus is also a big reason why they never won anything. And seemed to blame everything else other than himself.
I really think Wilson and Carroll’s handshake at centre field was telling cause Carroll barely looked Wilson in the eyes
I always thought New England's response to Bradys return was a class act example. When Brady first entered he was cheered and appreciated for his contributions.

@@semionjohnson1351 A Rod got the same response. They both know what they did. If Russ doesn’t want anything to do with us good riddance to his toxic behavior. Big ego when he was nothing but a cog in a defense heavy machine
@@shanestevens5352 y’all trash and y’all are the ones who are toxic that’s why Arod and Russ want nothing to do with that trash ass city and it’s disgusting and ungrateful fans and the legion of boom wouldn’t have even made the playoffs without Russ
@@semionjohnson1351 it’s a sport…people boo opposing players. I’m sure as an adult he can come to recognize that. Obviously he’ll be treated well come retirement.
As a 12 we respect and love Russ for everything he’s done for us but you need to understand he spend the last year saying how he wants to be a Seahawks for life while his agency is looking for the trade
Blah blah. Grow up. Russ was getting demolished over there. Now look at y’all. It was time for a change stop living in the past
I literally tried to tell everyone the Hawks were not gonna be some push over 🤦♂️
Nobody listened...
Nah y’all never appreciated Russ y’all made that very clear on Monday
Seahawks country, LETS FLY!
I have all the love in the world for Russ. He brought us some of the best years of Seahawk football. That being said, it's our job as 12's to get in the other teams head and that's exactly what we did last night. It doesn't mean we hate him, we are just doing our part to help our team win.
💯
You think matt flynn would've gotten you there? You are high.
Your trippin
That goal line interception was more a great play by butler than it was a bad throw from Russell Wilson. In the end they should have ran the ball.
I know ole waynesburg... theyve got a restaurant called hot rods or something right?
my buddies wife went to school in waynesburg and now they live in Morgantown
If you were a seahawks fan, there's a chance you would understand. To the outside observer it seems out of left field, but things have been brewing for a while.
“ky De” nah Seattle fans are just trash and ungrateful the worst fanbase in sports I’m glad Russ left and I hope he doesn’t associate with that city after he retires either
Russell choked out and was afraid to call even a timeout. Choke at the 1 yard line 2 times. I guess history repeats itself huh? 🤣
How did Russ choke at the 1 yard line last night? Was he personally responsible for those 2 fumbles now?
I also think the NFC west will be down a bit this year. That will help the Seahawks out.
