I had the same reaction as Smollias when AW Ilias got swallowed while I was playing the game. Literally showed up and made the situation worse for everyone involved lol.
The way Judgment holds that planet with those sinister eyes and his entire body blending in the cosmos like his one of those celestial beings from Marvel looks so freaking badass! I thought Worldbreaking was badass enough but seeing that Judgment art was fire man! And it's actually quite dark and sad that at the end, assuming that it's implied true, that Judgment himself (specifically Luka) doesn't deem himself worthy of the promised land, which I guess, makes sense to him. But still, it's quite depressing and inevitable to see. I would say that I somewhat prefer this ending to the Worldbreaker one. And I like how Marcellus can go toe-to-toe with Saja (though, she was probably tired at that point)
Ilias route was a rollercoaster of emotions. I don't want to badmouth the Alice route, but compared to the Ilias route it was snoozefest. The only memorable stuff from there was Granberia's last stand and Heinrich x Alicetromeria moment.
imo this is a cooler version and ending of Luka than world breaker Luka. The bgm and images are just that good. Damn that image of him holding a planet is so badass. Also, rip Sonia, guess she didn’t make it 😢 Nuruko alive though 😅
100% agree. Judgement's theme and him reading out the names while holding the entire planet is so much cooler than just a deathstar blast. That said, I will say Worldbreaker has the better transformation with luka absorbing the 8 spirits.
@@mukash1838 Agreed. At first, I was disappointed how Alice wasn’t mainly focused like the first game but man I was wrong. She has so much depth even though she’s not quite the same person like in MGQ because MGQ Luka killed her obviously. However part of her soul is still in paradox as revealed through her route and her feelings towards Luka and the monsters changes a lot from being a brat to someone genuinely caring in part 3. Honestly so much better than Alice’s character imo even though I love Alice lol. That’s just due to the fact that she has a lot more game content in Paradox compared to Alice and the original though but I digress…
Yep pretty much, and it's absolutely horrible. I would choose Alice Route any time of the day. At the very least most of the likeable cast and romance options make it through, and his world can live without interruptions or fear of YHVH Luka changing them and erasing them from existence. The way he interacts as well is absolutely terrifying. He is more like a robot or a software program now....and Ilias didn't even care about Luka in the end, only to make him a Judge, in comparison to Alice literally sacrificing her life for him while shielding him from Ilias and asking him to leave a place for her in his heart. Even the transformation is more epic in comparison to Judgment Luka...come on. You have all the Four Spirits uniting, and Alice hugging him on top of that controlling the darker aspects of his transformation.
Yeah, i'm gonna be honest. i really don't get Ilias logic. Humans can't understand that that life can continue even after your body perishes? Human spirits are something that can be seen and interacted with. Necromancers can specialize in calling upon their spirits. It wouldn't be hard to prove the existence of souls. Plus, does it even matter at the end of the day? From the perspective of the person being killed they would dead one moment and suddenly be back to life in a different world. Honestly it just seems like Ilias is being self-righteous and can't get past her own ego. She refuses a method that saves more liv because she views the method as a mockery of life.
Merging souls together doesn't "save more lives" though. If our thoughts and actions are what makes us who we are, then merging two people from different worlds effectively just kills both of them and replaces them with a soul chimera that's not really either of them.
@spacedmen5465 the problem with this argument is that Ilias doesn't take issue with the merging of souls. As far as i know she never voices any issue with souls merging. Not any of the times she voices her opinion prior to the great decision. Not here in this video before the fight with Alice. She takes issue with killing someone's body but saving their soul. I think most if not all of the characters have no problem with characters merging with their alternate universe counterparts. Even in the end chaos route, they impose a system where similar universes periodically get merged together to prevent the number of universes from becoming too many. I think the only time it's an issue is a scenario with monster world Lazarus, though I don't know the context.
@@Abyzz_Knight Ilias complains several times about the merging of souls being barbaric before the great decision. The soul merging in the Chaos route is better because the only people being merged are those so similar that there's practically no difference between them (as it's only done between universes with barely any differences between them). This is explicitly shown to not be the case with the monster world's plan which aims to merge everyone regardless of how similar they may be. The end result of the plan isn't either of the two people being merged, which is why Ilias is right on the money about how Alice's plan to only save the souls isn't really saving anyone.
@spacedmen5465 seems more likely she was saying that the act of killing people for the merging was barbaric. That's more consistent with her repeatedly taking issues with theerger only saving people's souls. Again, I can't remember any specific instances where she specifically takes issue with the merging. Her opposition always focuses on the killing of people's bodies bit saving their souls. Also, it kind of undermines your point that your thoughts and actions are what make you who you are. If you're then gonna argue, well, their thoughts are similar enough, so they're basically the same person. It undermines the idea that you and your parallel self are unique individuals. It also begs the question. How different do two Luka's have to be to be considered separate individuals? We can't leave that question unanswered if you think it's OK to merge some Luka's, but not others.
@@Abyzz_Knight She explicitly calls out the merging as "twisting the principles of life" though. And even if Ilias didn't specifically take issue with the merging of every soul to the MW she's still absolutely right about the MW plan not really saving anyone so this is a moot point regardless. As for when it's okay and when it's not okay to merge people, I'd argue that if the merge doesn't really change the way both people act or think (like in the chaos ending where it's so minor people don't even notice aside from occasional deja vu) then it's fine. If, like with Lazarus, the two individuals think and act completely differently, then it's not okay. Ideally, of course, nobody would have to be merged at all, but compromises have to be made due to the way the multiverse works in Paradox.
I see that Sonja isn't present at all in this route, or at least in the ending. I wonder what happened to her along the way. And apart from this, the Judgment ending is a lot more epic compared to the worldbreaker ending. Both the music and the artwork make a huge difference.
Did u play Paradox P2? In Ilias route P2 ending Sonya dies fighting Adramelech (in Alice route she was saved by Nuruko). At her last breath she creates a clone of her and rewrites main cast memories so they won't get sad. It's not the best solution cuz Luka remembers and Sonya clone gets killed anyways. Luka tries to save Sonya but fails.

And I liked Judgement more than World Breaker, cuz World Breaker just destroys the world and leaves, while Judgement sends copies of him to judge people and then destroys the world too. Plus his ending CG was more badass.
Btw I read ur comment about Sonya. In Ilias Route P2 Sonya dies while fighting Adramelech and puts a clone of her and rewrites main cast memories so they won't get sad.
