I found our 2009 exL in autotrader. Got it at fair market price with 89k miles. Still runs Smooth. We love it. Even the kids love it. Let someone eat up the depreciation and swoop in. Only issues are left sliding door gets stuck. But that’s easy to fix with lube and or replacing door seal. Plenty of video in TH-cam. Also the headlight housing is scratched up and turning yellow but that’s easy to make it clear again. Plenty of diy on TH-cam.
Awesome review of the ex-l but what odyssey is better too what about a 2005 ex because my familly have one odyssey ex and do you think the ex odyssey is good too?
Our 2010 odyssey is a piece of junk. It has 90k on it. It’s nice but problematic. I have replaced all the sliding door rollers and motors. I just replaced the front spool or vetch valve and gaskets because it was leaking oil all down into the alternator which ruined it and it was a pretty big pain in the ass to change. It was using 1 gallon of oil in a week not leaking it was using that much in a weeks time with actually very little miles put on it. I would say in about 250 miles. I finally noticed at night When a big truck was behind me with his bright lights on Every time the eco-light would come on on the dash I would start seeing a pretty good haze of blue smoke behind the van so I started reading on Honda forums. I found a little kit on eBay with a resister You solder in line on to the temperature sensor harness. It tricks the computer into thinking the engine is not completely warmed up so it doesn’t go into eco-mode ever. It completely stopped the oil burning problems and we can’t tell any difference in the gas mileage it runs much smoother in over drive now. So now the next thing on the list is figuring out what’s wrong with the DVD player it has sound but no picture. The power steering gets stiff sometimes The pump makes a little noise when it does this so I’m assuming it’s the pump. The right rear wheel bearing is starting to roar so I know it’s on its way out. I mean it’s getting ridiculous this is a really nice well taken care of Van. I had never owned a Honda But had always heard how great they are. I’m totally not impressed with this thing. I’ve always had gm trucks And I’ve always just serviced them and drove them I’m not used to having to rebuilding it before it’s got 100,000 on it. And it’s really not fun to work on so far. Sometimes if it sits for a couple of days and you start it up it really is a big cloud of smoke out like some old worn out piece of junk. I remember it work we used to have these little Chevrolet Astro vans and those lines were absolute tanks I wish they still made them or I could find one with low miles. The last two they got rid of one had 350,000ish on the original engine and transmission the other one had a little over 400,000ish but it had the transmission replaced now that’s the kind of service that I call good. I’ll be surprised if this thing makes it 150,000.
Pls don’t buy Honda Odyssey. I have 2005 odyssey and have really big transmission problem. Transmission was gone in 35000 miles than again transmission was dead in 90,000 miles. I spent more than $4500 for rebuild transmission. It’s not working because dealer can’t find the over heating problem. Don’t buy! It’s not only me but so many people have same problem and that’s why Honda redesign to fool people.
A 2008 mazda 5 individual has more room and better looks and electric sliding doors the driver can open them even by touching a button or pull out handle and third row seats can also fold down all the wayand has better consul and seven seats and very fast and black leather seats and more choices individual, original, active
I was really interested till i watched this.. at which point i now will get a Sienna.. cylinder deactivation.. no thanks.. run flat tires = no spare.. no thanks..

Funny they recommend 2008 and beyond and didn't mention the transmission problems from the years before 08.
So the 2008 it's better than the 2007 ??

What about the LX model, do you recommend it?
The steering is "accurate"? Are there cars that don't steer properly?
ReligiousZombie such as my 1997 KIA Sephia
