Kurt, you have truly assimiliated the Filipino way of eating breakfast. It’s very impressive to see an American, eating rice for breakfast. Yan ang tunay na Pinoy!
Thank you for bringing us to places we haven't been to esp in Tagaytay. Now because you have introduced them to us, they are registered in our mind and hopefully someday we could visit these places.
i am proud as pinoy when i watch kuya kurt's vlog... i enjoy kuya kurt's speaking tagalog...he is really good talking in tagalog...thanks a lot kuya kurt for the effort you are doing vlogging pinoy cuisines...good job 👍
That’s how you do it for breakfast. Nice 👍🏽 ang sarap nyan kurt. Sana all! Pinoy na pinoy kana talaga. American with pusong pinoy. Thanks. Always watching from CA. 🇺🇸🇵🇭
The view is amazing! Nice restaurant but seems pricey. Not a local but from experience eating in the Philippines, the serving portion looks tiny. The pasalubong section looks interesting. Take care and God bless. 🥰
First time to watch his blog fully till end. Hay naku, nakakatuwa naman sya 😂. Tagaytay is one of those famous and beautiful places South of the Philippines, cool fresh clean green environment. It is a province to go to against the hot summer months of Metro Manila. Love that location. Your description of the adobo sounds like it's not the typical, authentic Filipino adobo. Perhaps, the cook made his own sort of a little commercialized version to be thrifty on the side ha ha considering that the price is not costly. I guess the real adobo taste would be in some simple and clean carinderias there 😅. We usually go for breakfast there in a famous sort of five-star hotel there, sorry forgot the name, or at One Tagaytay hostel.
Yeah it was a slightly different taste than what I'm used to with adobo but it was delicious and the portion was just perfect for me since I'm gaining so much weight eating at all these delicious locations hahaha
Thank you for introducing that place to us your subscribers. I have not been in that side of Tagaytay. I'd love to dine there and buy pasalubongs someday.
Kuya Kurt, while you’re in tagaytay you may want to try La VeryOl's Mountain View Garden Tagaytay City, it’s a Kawa Bath and massage. You will sit on a huge wok and the staff will light wooden fire and looks like you’ll be cooked alive 😂. That’s a good content po. They also have restaurant but I didn’t try it so I can’t say my opinion yet. Take care always and stay safe! Enjoy your stay in the Philippines 🇵🇭
Tamarind is also called Sampaloc which is fruit from the Sampaloc tree. The leaves are used in a chicken soup dish called "Sinampalukan na manok". It's a sour savory chicken soup dish similar to sinigang taste.
The Rowena's food is quite expensive. I would rather have a buffet type meal para sulit kht pricey. At least marami ka choices. Thanks for sharing the vlog.
Masarap yan. By the way, i love your content.
You're so well versed in Filipino language that you're able to describe the landscape of places you go and different foods in first and lower class restaurants the only problem you might gain weight
Hello Kurt. Try the original digman halohalo at Bacoor Cavite. Since mainit sa Pinas tamang tama yon. Im from Bacoor Cavite but living in U.S righg now.
If you’re still in Tagaytay try Balay Daiko for their brunch buffet. It’s high end and pricy by local standards, roughly $20 per person but it was worth it. The food selection is impressive and the view from their outdoor patio is fantastic. I went there with family while on vacation last year. It was my first trip back to the Philippines since my family immigrated to the US when I was an infant so my cousin was eager to impress. As a contras we also had lunch once a The Manila Hotel. The hotel lobby is beautiful and staff are amazing, but honestly the food at the restaurant wasn’t. To me it was really catering to western tourists which was disappointing.
Is that kids size breakfast plate?😂 mahal ang price. It should only be 90 pesos plus 55 pesos for the milk coffee 😅😊add Peperoncini and the juice with the adobo.☝️😽
9:37 for me ndi maganda ipares ung white choco mocha sa adobo, cguro mga something like ginger tea, o kea lemon iced tea, or plain black coffee, acidic kc c adobo baka kumulo tyan mo pg nahaluan ng dairy.
Are u the one in the marine? If so i always watching ur videos when i was still in the Philippines but im here now in Arkansas and im surprise that you living now in my country.
it looks good, but for the price, the portion of that adobo is quite conservative. but I guess you are also paying for the view. thanks for liking the Filipino culture, and ingat lagi kuya!
"souvenir" is the common translation for pasalubong but it's not quite accurate. souvenirs are usually bought to be kept by the buyer. pasalubong is bought to be given away to a loved one or friends or family. if pasalubong is not given away, it's not pasalubong anymore. pasalubong is almost always food. souvenirs are not food items most of the time. 😊

It might be expensive for you but it's just that you're not their target market.

I love my adobo with fresh cucumber sides or anything green coz it cleanses my palate.♥

Hello Kurt. Try the original digman halohalo at Bacoor Cavite. Since mainit sa Pinas tamang tama yon. Im from Bacoor Cavite but living in U.S righg now.
Barquillos are traditionally eaten with ice cream.
I can only say “ka-gutom” as Kuya Kurt had a spoonful of the meal 😀😊
Did you try the karinderya’s at the mahogany market?

Wow sarap niyan
The plain rice always balances the savory and saltiness of the ulam.
Kuya, Punta ka din sa San Juan La Union. Maraming beach hotels dun with restaurants. Marami kang mairereview doon. ☺
Hi Kurt, you should try Chicks ni Otit at Mahogany Rd. Tagaytay. It's a 5star carinderia. It's good! 👍
I'll put that on the list the next time I make it down there!
Saw you in eat bulaga, 😂
Is that kids size breakfast plate?😂 mahal ang price. It should only be 90 pesos plus 55 pesos for the milk coffee 😅😊add Peperoncini and the juice with the adobo.☝️😽

Kuya, can you please add how far or how long it takes to go to these places if coming from Makati, Manila (if that’s the home base). 🤷🏻♂️. Salamat po
YUMMMY😊
