    1. Motor Mounts: www.fcpeuro.co...
    2. Door Lock Actuators: These actuators change from fwd to quattro cars and from left hand drive to right hand drive. So I recommend you check with your vin the correct part number and order it from Ebay.

If you have a b8 A4 seriously just don’t go around romping the gas all of the time. Everyone knows these burn oil. Obviously you’re fine to give it gas sometimes but this shouldn’t be your main car you beat on (get a Honda too). These things will last easy with no maintenance until 120k with just oil changed and brake changes. Turbo change around that mark though but most people don’t give their turbo time to cool down before you shut off the motor as these cars don’t have turbo timers. Let it warm up before you start bringing the rpms past 3500. Do those 2 things every time and you won’t need to worry about your turbo for probably your lifetime. Also we’ll known that the stock intake on these things are like straws and the turbo is trying to breath through it. I love my A4 😈 just don’t romp on it all crazy and spend the real money to get a real intake from ecs tuning (they look oem, especially the carbon fiber one 😉)

I have a 2012 2 litre TDI. Had it 6 years and has been virtually fault free. I have had to change a couple of suspension bushes, and the electronic boot lock failed at approx 68 thousand miles. The plastic sleeve around one of the boot hinges split, I just removed it and didn't replace it. Other than that, is been regular maintenance. I change the oil at intervals of 7000 miles. Car is running sweet and uses no oil. I haven't even had to change a bulb and still using the original battery.

The door lock are actually easily fixed, takes 2-3hours in total to fix a lock. The coals in the lock actuator motors wear on the copper, copper gets covered in coal dust and looses the connection. Rub the copper clean with sand paper and voila! Problem solved.

Get rid of your Audi B8, my water pump failed at 45k, the fuel pump shortly after. The car started drinking oil at around 48k. Had the rings, pistons and timing chain replaced at 54k. I then added Bilsteen coil overs, A K04 turbo, intercooler, cat back exhaust, CTS air intake, IE aluminum manifold. It’s a very strong reliable motor. I think he is talking about the PCV, which if its factory, he is right about it being faulty. I dont know about the oil separator he's talking about, but I'm pretty sure were referring to the same thing. TH-cam has a bunch of videos on B8 PCV replacements. The main issue with stock PCV's is that it sends oil into the intake and turbo (which isnt good). You can get an updated version of it or do a "PCV delete" (oil catch can), which is what I did. Helps keeps everything a little more clean.

I would recommend replacing both sides, and both of the motor mounts will cost you around $150, if you buy them from the link I provided in my description. And the actual labor will cost you around $400 depending on what shop you take it to. If you have some jack stands and a car jack, along with a couple tools it can easily be done. Many mechanics will tell you it can't be done without a lift but I knocked it out without it. :)

As long as the car still feels strong I wouldn't worry about anything else, but oil changes and perhaps just check your hoses and belts for any wear. If you really want to go the extra mile you could test the voltage on the alternator and battery and make sure they're fine.

GioTheMechanic hey man I also noticed that my car is consuming a lot of oil I am had top it off with 1 quart recently after driving only 500 miles. I’d hope that most people in search of a new car, do their research when looking at their options. B8 is just the body type and it’s easier to state B8 than 2009,2010,2011,& 2012, because B8 bunches all those years into one category. And FYI there’s a category called tags when I upload a video and I state all those years that fall under the B8 body which allows people to find my video (For those that do not know what B8 means).
