Hi from Western Australia Amber..happy new year to you. I have just found you and its so nice to see something different. I love your preciseness...how do you get those beautiful parallel lines? Mine always seem to hit together no matter how slowly I draw them. I will have go back to your first video and work my way through. Can you please explain the difference between doodling and zentangling? Love how you incorporate your zentangles ? doodles into your journal, although journalling has never been my thing you make it look so pretty and clean/clear. I cant think of a better way to spend 2022 than following you. Thankyou in anticipation 🥰🤗🤗💜
Hi Jenny, thank you and welcome to the channel. The primary difference between Zentangle and doodling is that drawing with the Zentangle method uses repeated patterns with simple steps. There is no correct orientation to the final composition and it's abstract, it's not intended to represent anything. Where as when you doodle, you might doodle a flower, animal, etc. The idea is that since you're not creating something specific, you don't have to concentrate on proportion or whether the features of a face are correct. You can fall into a meditative state by just repeating each stroke without much thought. I hope that helps.
