Steve I can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done in helping me find my journey back to orthodoxy in entirety after a hiatus from young childhood to young adulthood. It took me a few years to completely come back in, but many of my inquiries or questions were initially answered by you here and it continues to help me learn and grow spiritually. And to understand the things we do as orthodox Christian’s. As I know you’re somewhat close in NYC if I’m not mistaken? This is why I'm skeptical of Evangelicalism.. Too much of the focus is on the " Christian" and not Christ We tend to hear people boasting about Their moment, rather than Jesus. I'm not saying all of them are self righteous and egocentric.. Too much of the focus seems to be on Them and not so much on Christ.
We do not know. He’s called to he or do something else. He will reman Orthodox though, perhaps he will be more of a lay person or he will study intensely like a monk. Just my guesses. He’s definitely embarking on something challenging and new.
I don't think he wants to continue being a facilitator of "internet Orthodoxy" in whatever form. He kind of says it in these final videos, that even good stuff can kind of draw your attention away from the real Christian life....worse yet, with Orthodox content, you can actually trick yourself into thinking you are "being fed" spiritually when you are actually being scattered and spiritually starving yourself. God help us all and let us empty ourselves this Lent so we can become filled with the Holy Spirit in the Resurrection!
