I learned this from a podcast. Father Mike Schmitz pointed out that Pharaoh may have been the one to harden his own heart, but the reason the rest of Egypt was affected was because the other Egyptians were just as guilty as Pharaoh. They chose to go along with the enslavement and killing of the Hebrews so they were just as bad as Rameses was. If you think about it, the 10th plague was pretty merciful compared to what happened to the Hebrew babies.
@@BerserkerRider94 to see the gospel of jesus done in this way would be wonderous. To see them do the revelation as well would be catastrophic to my psyche 😂😂
Poor Moses- really feel for him. Once I called you brother Once I thought the chance To make you laugh Was all I ever wanted I send the thunder from the sky I send the fire raining down And even now I wish that God Had chose another Serving as your foe on his behalf Is the last thing that I wanted Those lyrics really got to me.

I don't think Pharaoh's priests did the same thing at all. I think they just turned the water red; it looked thinner, and blood runs thicker than water, after all.
The river of blood and the plagues scenes was brilliantly made in The Prince of Egypt. It was when Dreamworks really had guts to make something terrifying and dramatic, also when you hear Hans Zimmer's music playing. Still a masterpiece and it still counts as one of my top 10 favorite movies from Dreamworks.
Moses never wanted to do what he had to but he had no choice but to do his duty to protect and serve gods message and work, he was very upset about the last plague but he was left no choice, Ramses was stubborn and an angry man he would rather let his citizens suffer than let Moses win and leave with his people, and he paid the ultimate sacrifice for he lost everything
I love how someone put it to Jordan Peterson, yeah look at us we can mess up our own water too, notice the magicians didn't try to make the water clean, read it in Exodus
Huh no Colleen the Bible calls the story The Ten Plagues God used All ten of them At a different time Not at the same exact time to punish Pharaoh so each time He said no God used a different plague on him

1:27 notice the river isn't blood where he is standing.
Imagine dream works still had the balls to make stuff like this
Noah's story...or maybe Jesus during the time of Roman occupied Jerusalem. Now that one would be insane to see.

I hear you, but to be fair, they've made some good films since then.
And they are still making good stuff like this because they ain't pu$$ys like Disney is with these themes for movies.
I always give "The Prince of Egypt" a 10/10!🤠🥳👍💯

Pharaoh is responsible for not letting the Hebrews free. The more he refuse. God is bringing 10 plagues and taking misery in Egypt.

Right. He is a hero. Wise, passionate, forgiving.
He knows there's still good in all Egypt.
Didn't he die with all his group in the desert, lost and alone?
Of course he is
The Egyptians have slaves, Moses is trying to free the slaves, what is not understood here?

All the plagues were mocking the gods of Egypt.
10 plagues? I thought there were only seven? That’s what I was told.
10 in old testament against Pharo, 7 in New testament in Revelations.

It’s crazy cause each of the plagues was sent to disrespect and discredit a specific Egyptian God. And then Vikings ended up adopting Christianity.
