    Paul your garden is coming along very nicely!!! Love all the fruit trees and flowers you have! I live in Greece and I've found lots of similar plants native here! It's so fun to see your garden, and mine, grow and flourish! As for the tours, you can do one every season to see the differences... lots of love and as always Earth is my planet!!!

    Hi Paul. Your very brave.growing fruit trees. at the side of your house. You must live in a nice neighborhood. I wouldn't dare do that. It would have gone probably with in half an hours. Out of all the plats I did have and still got. are my roses. got 3 of them. Burgundy Red one. light Pinky one. and a orangey yellow one. I've had them about four years now. And I luv my roses. I'd plan to get some more. b Safe take care to all over the pond. from UK.

    Always stake fruit trees until the main stem gets sturdy enough to support fruit branches.

    I think the plants under the big tree have too many needles. Hubby told me that the needles aren’t good for our plants. We have to remove them often. Your videos are great!!

    Just found your channel, this is a great starter since I’m trying to start a native garden here in central Texas.
    Would you mind maybe adding a list of the mentioned plants in the description? I got most of them down by ear but missed a few here and there

    I love the good energy you head out with these videos. Thank you so much You've inspired me to take on backyard planting adventures of my own. You make it seem not that serious to try and fail and it's great that you cherish that beautiful heron you have living in your tree.

      Yeah, that’s what it’s about. Seeing what works and what doesn’t. If you have time grow some plants from seed it’ll save you money.

    Beautiful garden Paul. All that hard work is paying off.
    I want to tell you that you sound a little winded. Not sure if it's humid there or you're still recovering from strep throat. You take care and God bless 🙏🏽❤💐

    Hello again! You need to pick the fruits otherwise it signals the plant to stop putting more fruit. FYI

  • @jacobgonzalez6445
    @jacobgonzalez6445 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    2:19 it might be because its putting a lot of energy into the little fruits its producing. Not totally sure but i know my abuela used to have some of those

    • @paulplantu

      That’s valid, my other one is booming and this one seems to be struggling. Not exactly sure why but I may take the fruit off and see what happens.

    Can you grow blueberries here in Houston? I had them in my Atlanta garden but thought it was too hot here. Where do you get your fruit trees like mulberry and loquats

    I'm stuck at trying to propagate bougainvillea. I'm a newbie newbie. Ethan Klein's (h3 podcast) mom loves milk weeds because she loves monarch butterflies.

    Do you have your avocado plants in the shade or in direct sun ? All the plants around your home are beautiful.

    • @paulplantu
      @paulplantu  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They’re pretty much in the shade. A lot of nursery’s start plants in a light cover so I have them in a brightly shaded area so the soil is more moist.

    Been waiting for this but what about the patio with all the great plants you packed in there? You should plant some hostas and hydrangeas with that good shade from those large trees.

    • @paulplantu
      @paulplantu  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very true, the local spots haven’t had hosted in stock so I may order some up.

    Buy some bird houses and stake em close to those trees, the birds will help fend the pests off. The. You can give them bird seed and the bird will leave MOST of your fruit alone. Also an aphid problem could mean you have a higher than normal nitrogen problem.

    I am SO thrilled to have found you, Paul! Having moved to Houston myself, I have been struggling to know what and where to plant and you have really given me some wonderful tips. I literally grew up on the edge of a canyon so needless to say, there wasn't much that grew in our red clay earth and I am not ashamed to say I am a pretty clueless ( if well-intentioned) gardener. I really look forward to more of your tips and guidance ---THANK YOU!
