I just came across this on Spotify and was like 'holy shit, this sounds so insane and awesome. Theres so much going on, why have I not heard this before!?' Here I am.
I remember finding this song on Discover Weekly when it came out years ago, having no idea it was intended to sound like Stranger Things. Yet, I knew it was imitating the intro to the show and loved it anyway.
Cut to 2024 and I’m such a huge Bilmuri fan and they put on the DOPEST OF THE CRANK LIVE SHOW IN THE REPUBLIC! Got to see them this week in Lakewood, OHIO.

This... THIS is what rock today should sound like.
For several years now (the majority of this decade), I've been listening to several bands across several genres and have progressively become more and more uninspired, wondering if there is anything new or different that can be done or if it's all been done before and this is the end of rock as a whole. And then I listened to Bilmuri and it was like a giant breath of fresh air. This music needs to get more out there, this is what needs to be a the top of the charts right now. I love this. It's sad to say, but I can't remember the last time I heard something that made me FEEL something like this.
It's so fresh that it's hard to describe, like there isn't a name for this music. It's almost like an "Alt-Core" or "Post-Metalcore" - Alternative Rock (in some songs almost pop-y) with these little metalcore flavors, these little heavy or almost heavy metalcore inspired moments that are just enough to set it apart without it being overpowering or sounding forced. It's perfectly blended together.
Dayum dude. You been doin work since Attack Attack and it all sounds amazing. Keep it up!
