Because one found it meaningful, but the other don't see it. The point here is the performancer must think they are doing something cool, but the viewer did not agree with it, and don't thing it is helpful. I think there is no wrong nor right doing so, but maybe do a explanation to help people understand why you do. Not just point the finger back.

Why? yes, because they have the best that can be imagined, in the context of sup, sup surf and others. White water, the same. But it's cool that there is such a discussion
