Thank you for sharing your helpful informational video about the Carnival Radiance. September 6-8, 2024 will be my first time riding the Carnival Radiance from Long Beach to Ensenada & back. I have a few questions: 1) What time Check In Line opens at Long Beach? I reside by the San Fernando Valley & plan to commute to Long Beach on Trip Day of September 6. If the ship leaves at evening on Trip Day, does this mean I must arrive to Long Beach Terminal in the morning or noonish? 2) Where would be a good area to do overnight parking at Long Beach Terminal? 3) This is my first time riding a cruise. I learned from people who rode the Carnival Radiance mentioned about all cruises are All Inclusive with meals. Is this true? Or do we have to pay meals separately? 4) Is Check In to the cruise more like Airport TSA Check In? Such as, the "no liquids" thing? Or is the Cruise Security Check In slightly lenient than Airport TSA Check In? 5) Can we text & use our phones on board the Carnival Radiance? Or do we have to order some sort of phone package plan to use it? I also heard from others that we may have to switch our phones to Airplane Mode when boarding any cruise, is this true? Reason I asked because I of course will be taking photos & planned to share with friends & relatives & therefore, hoping the phone bill will not be affected. Thanks again for sharing the informational video of your experience with Carnival Radiance.
4) more lenient for sure. Carnival has rules on what you can and cannot bring. For example you can bring a bottle of wine for yourself on board for free and that is to be put in your carry on 5) yes you can text but I would definitely put phone in airplane mode and purchase the internet package!
Hi, our cruise is this coming Sept 30 to Oct 4. I have some questions since u just recently finished ur cruise. 1) Did you check in at least an hour prior and what’s the luggage allowed? 2)How long did u stop by Catalina Island and also in Ensenada? 3) Was it already a bit cold? 4)Did u dock around night time when u came back to Long Beach? Thank u
@@genc8165 Hi, sorry for the late response. had a busy week since I got back from my recent short cruise trip. To answer your questions, please see below: 1) I check in at least 1 week before trip day thru the carnival hub app or the carnival website page with my account. 2) My trip is only a 3 day 2 nighter, therefore no Catalina Island & only stop at Ensenada. 3) Trip Day on September 6 was believe it or not, HOT, almost 100 degrees Fahrenheit at Long Beach. When the boat sails, there was no wind, I was mostly in my balcony room instead on the top floor (aka. Lido Deck) due to too sunny & hot. Ensenada was hot in the 90s too. 4) Return trip to Long Beach, I noticed the boat arrived at Long Beach at 3 AM in the morning & successfully docked at 5 AM. 6 AM is the breakfast room open for their final buffet service & finally at 8:30 AM, expected ALL passengers should disembark from the ship. Hope that answers your question & hope your upcoming trip will go well. My short trip, despite short & hot, it was overall a good & fun cruise trip.
@@dontran391 thank u, yes I hope it’s not hot I think that was 100 something degrees in SoCal at that time. One more thing did u have any excursions in Ensenada? And what can u suggest?
I've been on twice now going back in December. I loved deck 8 forward. 5aft was great for the slight rocking to sleep, but we were over the MDR on 4 and the smells from that were nauseating at times. We are on deck 1 in December - so when you say stench... do you mean sewage?
Thanks for sharing. Im going on this. This will be my second carnival cruise. I went on royal Caribbean and i thought i was definitely an upgrade from carnival. Next i want to try Norwegian cruise line
Not all Carnival ships have self-serve launderettes. "Carnival Celebration, Carnival Jubilee and Mardi Gras do not have washers and dryers but have ironing rooms on several stateroom decks as well as Valet Laundry service. Carnival Firenze, Carnival Luminosa and Carnival Venezia do not have washers, dryers nor ironing rooms but do offer Valet Laundry service." Thanks for the information on Carnival Radiance and the Long Beach area.
Was on the Radiance just a few weeks ago. The crowd was rough and drunk, the food and service were unbelievably terrible. Nothing more than a booze cruise.
I feel like Ensenada is worth going for the food. I was just on Radiance on 2/19 and got to Ensenada on 2/23. This was my 3rd time in this place so I can find both pros and cons about it. There were friends I made there and local people from Ensenada are very welcoming to tourists. Sure, some parts of the city may be unhygienic but you can never turn down on the food because their ceviche and other foods are literally that good.
Great summary of the ship. I'll be going on the cruise in three more days! Thank you😊
You're welcome!

1) you can check in before your cruise and they will assign an arrival time! 2) park at the terminal for easiest convenience! 3) all inclusive meals!
4) more lenient for sure. Carnival has rules on what you can and cannot bring. For example you can bring a bottle of wine for yourself on board for free and that is to be put in your carry on 5) yes you can text but I would definitely put phone in airplane mode and purchase the internet package!

Might have misspoke- meant to say ironing rooms. Thanks for the clarification! Info wasn't accounting for the "new" Italian ships!
Do you know how much the drinks are?
Depends on what you’re drinking!
Average $15

Weekend cruises can be that way
West Coast cruises are just ghetto. Unless it’s NCL.
@@WestCoastCultured why do you feel that NCL is better on the West Coast?
So what does “ghetto” mean to you
What do you mean by “rough”
what was the name of the restaurant you mentioned with the ceviche?
La Cartera guerrerrense
I was just going to ask the same question, seen it on a TH-cam video yummm !
Can you bring a flat iron for women’s hair?
Double check with Carnival but yes!
I booked my fiance and I a balcony room on deck 8, right under the Lido deck. Would the noise bother us if we're trying to sleep?
It depends on where on deck you are
do we need a passport ?
you can use state ID + birth certificate but double check with Carnival before boarding
100th like! 🥳
Thanks!!!
Do they still have the Artic Lounge.... It was on there when it was the Victory.
not that i saw@@bucketjackson673
You are being too kind to Ensenada! The place is an Armpit!
I try to find positives wherever I go!
You need to out of the tourist area and explore a little, it's actually not bad
@@mvrigger I’ve liked exploring some of the food options for sure!
