730396 is one of seven of these three axle Amrep automated side loaders purchased by the city of Phoenix with their first ten unit Amrep order (Three ex San Diego jumbo Peterbilt Chassis refurbished by Alliance Trucks and matted with new bodies finished off the order). This is quite the change of side loader for the city buying a lift arm on the side of the body versus to the front dating back to the litter lift days in the 80's. Since the first Amrep order, the city has purchased close to thirty more all of which will be arriving in due time. I would like to thank the outstanding driver for his commitment to providing exceptional service to the city and its residents while showing how an automated side loader should be ran. Enjoy the video and have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I would like these so much better if the arm extended laterally at the base (like the ZR) versus having a hinged pivot point at the top

I'm still trying to wrap my head around Amreps in AZ. I'm so used to Scorpions roaming around AZ and Amreps in CA which feels weird for me. Anyways, pretty sweet truck, glad you were able to find one. Truck probably would have looked better with the CNG tank on the side but it looks like the top-mounded CNG tank hasn't been trimming trees lol yet. Awesome video and happy holidays!

It's a change for the state of Arizona no doubt. Thank you and same to you!

Awesome footage! I like how the driver utilizes the curb to close some of the lids that stayed open. I’d like to see these trucks with the smaller grippers on them...the larger ones are just a little odd; probably because I only see the smaller ones from the trucks in LA. Merry Christmas!

PooGobblingSloth Well, I personally think they need these grippers for alley cans. Don't know why they can't just use the scorpions, but that is mainly what I think they are meant for. Phoenix had very limited options for when they were getting these, and they also wanted to save some money.

Nice save at 1:38 haha I enjoyed seeing some older carts being handled by this truck as well. Any more video of that in the future would be really neat, especially if any collect in the areas with the old Marlex & Snyders etc. I'd be curious to see if they just put the standard 20-100 gallon grippers on future versions since they dont seem to be in a hurry to collect 300s with these lol

That’s my truck on the game garbage truck sim phoenix az on Roblox! Also why dont most the cans open fully? And only open halfway?
